This oolong is a knockout! I'm seriously surprised, and yet very delighted, but how amazing this tea is. When I first ordered it, I was skeptical. I love grapefruit...but in an oolong? When I opened the bag, my trepidation was met with the beautiful smell of citrus. Oh boy! My co-workers and I couldn't stop huffing the aroma from the bag.
I made up a cup to try. At first, all I could taste was the oolong. It seemed very earthy and dusky. The grapefruit wasn't really that prevalent, which left me disappointed. But as the brew cooled, the citrus slowly started to appear. And then, all of the sudden, I was drinking powerful powerful grapefruit--as if it was grapefruit juice. Sour and sweet and delicious! I also tried it as an iced tea, and that was amazing too.
So my suggestion is to let it cool for a few minutes before trying it, to allow the grapefruit to settle into the cup. If it's too tart, I'd suggest a squeeze of honey. But wow, I can't get enough of this tea! It's my new go-to oolong.
This is my new favorite oolong tea. I can't drink many fruit-flavored teas, since so many have pineapple in them, but this one hits the youthberry blossom buttons for me, and is also a bit more robust.
I was pleasantly surprised how flavorful this tea was! It definitely tastes like grapefruit, but is more substantial than I was expecting! I will be purchasing again.
Just the right amount of grapefruit with a lovely oolong made a wonderful breakfast tea. Now I need to order more, thank you for the sample!!
I am definitely curious to try more of this. It didn't last long. The grapefruit flavor is strong and it's definitely a bitter citrusy flavor. It reminds me slightly more of the peel than the fruit itself. I want to try it mixed with lemon or orange.
My personal favorite. [Only one thumbs up because my wife doesn't]. I have ordered this three times and I'm running low again.
A quality tea that really imparts the grapefruit flavor. At times it tasted a bit artificial, however.
I love the citrus flavor, and this tea has a wonderfully soft mouthfeel. I will be reordering this lovely oolong.
This is my very favorite flavor so far. I started out with the sample size and just received the 2 oz. bag today. I'm thinking I will order a bigger bag next time!
This tea is so, so good! I love it. It tastes like those gummy grapefruit slice candies that come in a bin in a candy store. I didn't even sweeten it. I just drank it plain, as I usually do with my tea, and it was plenty sweet enough on its own. Yummy! Fair warning, though--I tried to blend this stuff with other teas, and a little grapefruit oolong goes a long way!
An average Oolong. The grapefruit is VERY subtle, usually coming through in the after taste. I'm going to stick with my Jade Oolong...
I chose this tea hoping it would be like the pu-erh blends from Adagio and it didn't disappoint. The oolong holds up very well to the addition of grapefruit. If you like grapefruit, you will love this tea. The grapefruit tastes and smells very fresh and the oolong is outstanding

Love this stuff! It's perfect in the morning and brews up nice and strong so you don't need to use much! Add some honey and a lemon slice and it's heaven!

I was a little worried this tea wouldn't have the right level of grapefruit to it, but I was really surprised. It doesn't shy away from some of the bite that grapefruit has. Great with a tiny bit of sugar but don't overdo it!
I'm not much for oolongs normally so I may be biased. That being said I felt this tea just didn't have much character. It tasted kind of plain with not much flavor. I prefer teas that are more bold and robust.
A lovely balanced tea. I was skeptical at first because the scent of grapefruit is extremely overpowering when you first open your pouch, but once brewed the grapefruit slipped to the background and was just present enough to compliment the Oolong nicely. Just enough caffeine to make it a quick jumpstart tea for my early mornings and get me through till my first cup of breakfast tea at my desk at work.
The tea itself has a really strong aroma to it. So much so that I was worried the grapefruit flavor would be too strong. But once you brew the tea it mellows out and is crisp but refreshing. Would be great iced too.

Maybe it's because I've never tried oolong before, but I wasn't so much a fan of this. It might be the oolong, it might be the grapefruit, but as someone who was using this as their intro to oolong, I was not impressed. It has a very pungent odor that was off-putting before I brewed it and still after. I got this because I love grapefruit! Not sure where I went wrong.
I love flavored oolongs, but this one didn't quite do it for me. The grapefruit adds a pleasant citrusy note, but it winds up being a little bitter/acrid for my tastes.
Very little flavor. And what little flavor comes through is rather off-putting. Somewhat on the edge of fishiness? Not sure where the 'natural grapefruit flavors' come from and am wondering now if it is a chemist's lab. Just doesn't seem like it should be (and compared to the quality normally enjoy in my Adagio teas, I'm just going to get rid of this batch and put my time into enjoying one of their other teas). Not sorry that I tried this tea. Just know now that it is not for me.
I was nervous when I opened this and thought that the grapefruit flavor would be too strong, but it was surprisingly tasty.
A bit bitter and the grapefruit flavor wasn't very strong, but decent.
The zesty tart grapefruit combined with the oolong makes a nice refreshing hot beverage in the morning. though you have to really be careful not to brew it too long other wise it can be a bit too bitter.
A bit too dark and tangy for me. It has a slight grapefruit flavor, but I prefer the flavored grapefruit tea.

This is amazing. I can drink this for breakfast everyday. The smell is amazing and the citrus flavors are not over powering but are still there. I prefer my tea stronger so i add extra and let it steep longer. i will get more of this for sure
