Another good green tea with a nice astringency and good depth of flavor.
An oolong tea from the misty mountains of Anxi County in the Fujian region of China, with floral notes of honeysuckle and osmanthus.

Another good green tea with a nice astringency and good depth of flavor.
Another full-bodied, good green oolong. 3 minutes of steeping and I steep it up to 3 times. Just what I need when I'm in the mood for a green oolong.
Very good Oolong with a nice slightly sweet back taste. I get 2 brewings from one heaping Tsp. of leaves.
This is my boyfriend's favorite tea. The tea has a seaweed Oriental kind of taste.
This is a greener oolong with a bit of honey taste and some delicate floral notes. I get a lot of steeps off this one. Very soothing. Wonderful when I'm in the mood for a traditional tea.
This one smells very 'green' but is actually sweet/savory on the palate. A pretty good value too.
Given the price, I was expecting something ordinary. I was pleasantly surprised! Golden Flower is reminiscent of Ali Shan to me. Upon inspection, the leaves were torn and not the usual quality of other whole tea teas. Maybe it s like getting a great designer pocketbook at an outlet mall because of a flaw in the liner. Do I care if the leaves aren t perfect? Nope, it still tastes wonderful to me!
This was an enjoyable tea. Nice delicate flavor. Slightly sweet with a bit of a honey flavor. I wasn't, however, able to get as many infusions out of it as I would expect from an oolong tea.
Oolong teas usually upset my stomach, but this tea was worth a try from my sister's stash. It's a very smooth tea!
My daughter is in LOVE with this. It was exceedingly good for the price. It tastes like a high quality green tea. A little bit goes a long way. I could make half a teaspoon into a whole pot of tea.
The tea starts out with a pleasant grassy and floral smell. It has a beautiful warm and woodsy taste to it. I'm rather new to loose leaf and when I think of traditional teas this is the flavor I'm after. It is definitely a great afternoon cup and is very calming to drink. The tea itself expands a lot when steeped and really crowded my rather roomy infuser (I have a large mug infuser). I was able to resteep the leaves three times successfully but I think that is the max I'm willing to try. There was a distinct difference in the strength of flavor between the second and third steep. I will definitely steep this with less tea than recommend to see if I get a stronger flavor. I'm also interested in the flavor difference if I let it steep freely rather than in an infuser. Overall I definitely am adding this to my favorites and look forward to trying more oolong on my loose leaf adventure.
Surprisingly good oolong. Delicate flavor that survives well on resteep.
Very nice tea for these who like green teas. Strong pronounsed taste without heyish undertone.
These dense little buds will give you a nice second steep. I see where the name comes from cuz the color is a miller light golden pilsner. Very mild and pleasant though somewhat lacking in flavor
This is a good mellow green that doesn’t taste bitter or fishy like some greens can. Fun to watch the leaves unfurl.
Love, love, love! A very good oolong both hot and cold brewed.
Lovely tea. Light and floral and sweet. Flavor and aroma are wonderful.
This tea brews a light golden hue. It has a light grassy and floral scent, which sort of reminds me of a more subtle green jasmine tea. I think the description of honeysuckle seems pretty accurate for the scent and flavor, based on what I remember from tasting honeysuckle from gardens as a kid; although, there also seems to be a very slight, underlying savoriness to the flavor too. I'm pretty new to oolongs, but so far, Golden Flower is definitely at the top of my list.
This tea has more of a green tea taste. Complex but slightly green.
Careful not to over-brew, can quickly become too astringent.
Sweet floral and not so much verdant vegetal.
Body: medium- body, smooth start turns into a minor tannin after taste
Wonderful flavor. Very settling after evening meal
While I don't normally lean towards Oolongs, I tried this one based on other reviews. This tea delights me...soft and floral, low on vegetal, 3 min steep, full mouth feel and strength that fooled me because it appears so light and delicate in the cup. Don't be fooled! Solid and tasteful and I will continue to order this one!
This has a nice subtle, almost mineral, flavor with a surrounding floralness.
This tea has the 'grape'-y flavor of a darjeeling, but without the astringency. Delightful, possibly my favorite green tea.
It s a simple oolong. I like it. Very light and not oaky.
This tea was a pleasant surprise. It was an extremely flavorful but light tea that I've become mildly addicted to. I usually steer away from everything outside of black tea, but I tried this on a whim. It had a good rating and that convinced me to give it a try. My instincts were correct and I will be purchasing a larger amount in my next order.
Golden Flower had a light floral taste, but it was not as strong as my fave Jade oolong. It was also missing the buttery finish of other green oolongs, like jade and pouchong.
I am really enjoying this oolong, and it handles multiple steeps well. The color is pale yellow and bland but the flavor is there! There s a complexity here that continues with the aftertaste.
This tea is mild but very fresh. It is smooth and did not oversteep.
OK. This one makes a serious argument for a sixth star! It comes out sweet and aromatic, and I found myself breaking my 'No caffeinated teas after 8:00 PM' rule to have a second cup. The odd steeping temperature threw me for a bit of a loop, as I don't have a kettle that allows me to set the temperature, but my best guess seems to have worked ideally.
This is my first oolong tea and it's very nice. It's nostalgic to some times when I've gone out to eat with my family. All it needs is a little bit of sugar (or honey if you prefer) and a watchful eye, because this tea gets bitter very fast if left to steep for too long.
I found that for ~2 mugs full, 5-10 min steep is good. I usually put my tea in my perfect tea maker and take it to my room with a normal sized mug, but next time I'll have to find a large mug to fit all of the tea in it.
This has a great toasted flavor. I love this as my breakfast tea.
Very subtle tea. Similar to the lightness of a white tea but with delicate floral notes. I notice a soft roastiness in the finish. Very good oolong for the price.
lovely tea...has the right burst of smooth flavors...love love love this tea and a must try
Very nice subtle oolong tea. Sweet and light but not too flowery and very hard to oversteep (always a blessing for me)
I'm very impressed with this tea! I expected the honeysuckle flavor to be a cheap knock off but I found it to be surprisingly accurate. Definitely a new favorite!
Bright and crisp, heavy floral, smooth mineral aftertaste.
Reminiscent of the Jade Oolong and Ti Kuan Yin, but less flavorful. At this price point (it s the least expensive oolong sold by Adagio), this could very well become one of my everyday go-to teas.
Wow! What a surprise! The leaves are incredibly fragrant, a ball oolong composed of about half full, half broken leaf, with red bruising around the edges. Crisp and light and full of flowers-- gardenia, honeysuckle. Incredible tea at this price. Much better than other, more expensive Adagio oolongs
Liked this tea. Just be sure to not over steep it.
Just okay. Not bad, but nothing really special here either.
It s hard for me to review this tea because it s so magical it s hard to describe. Golden Flower tastes sweetly floral, and it s hard to believe there s nothing added to it! It s a joy to drink. When I m in the mood for simple and elegant, this is what I drink.
I’m somewhat new to Oolong teas, and this one is light, delicate, and floral. It tastes like a quality tea, but it’s not my favorite style of tea. I’ll try a different oolong and compare notes, but this was tasty and the price is great.
Has a lovely floral scent. Subtle taste. I like it.
This is my first oolong and I'm really enjoying the sweet honeysuckle flavor
light, floral, and slightly sweet - this one caught me by surprise with how good it was
i am not a passionate fan of green oolongs. this el cheapo green oolong has the basics, to allow the novice to orient themselves to green oolongs.
it has a vegetal taste that dominates with an underlying light sweetness.
all in all no regrets ordering,. adds to my education of the oolong family of teas.
This oolong is VERY good for the price! It's a good everyday drinker tea for a great price!
Nice light taste ... good for a mid afternoon drink
An excellent oolong to bring on the trail. In the event of a mishap in which the tea is lost or ruined, it's not going to be too heart breaking due to the low cost. It'll still suck being that there's no longer any tea to drink, but that's where the misfortune ends. It's not too strong in flavor. Pretty smooth and perfect for a light mid-day refresher/lunch with a can of smoked trout and baked beans, or as a good pallet cleanser for after eating trail rations/MREs.
