Just the smell of the unsteeped leaves alone makes it a superior product than the regular ti kuan offered here. It's a great splurge.
Beloved oolong tea from Fujian, China. Extremely time-consuming to produce (well over a dozen distinct steps). This loosely rolled, lightly oxidized tea yields a pale golden cup with a soft, buttery texture and orchid and honeydew melon notes.

Just the smell of the unsteeped leaves alone makes it a superior product than the regular ti kuan offered here. It's a great splurge.
If you enjoyed the Fujian Jasmine Pearls, you'll enjoy this one as well. Nice floral aroma but not overpowering once you brew. Very smooth. no acidity or bitterness whatsoever. Brews super light.
I am intrigued by this tea. While I do not find it entirely unpleasant in the mouth, it assaults my sniffer with a confusing aroma of old roses and dried fish.
I actually didn't find the master's version of the Ti Kuan Yin to be very different at all from the regular one. It was slightly 'stronger' maybe, but that was it. That is, until you keep re-steeping it. I found that the Formosa outlasted the regular version by taking longer to become watered down and weak.
Is it worth 2x the price? Maybe. Aside from the next cups from re-steeping, there isn't too much of a difference.
This tea is phenomenal. I steeped it 3 times, and each infusion was light and sweet and floral. It had a hint of orchids in the smell. This tea is more than worth the price. I love it.
A truly excellent TGY, with a strong flowery perfume.
This tea is excellent. It lives up to the standard carried by its name. It is a very green oolong, with a wonderful, light and floral aroma and flavor, and a silky and buttery mouth feel.
I have been trying to find an inexpensive oolong that brings me the flavor I am looking for, but I think I am coming to the conclusion that it's just not possible for this type of tea. This is expensive, but it is definitely worth it. Plus, you can steep this high-quality tea multiple times.
This legendary tea truely lives up to it's name. I cannot describe it adequately - it is just divine.
This is a very complicated tea to describe. It tastes like ti kuan yin, but there is a hint of honey in there. The complexity of the flavor comes out with multiple steeps. I am definitely looking forward to my next cup of this.
AAAAAMAZING!! What else can I say. It`s healthy, tasty, and VERY re-steepable. so it`s not as pricy when you factor in how much you can get out of a teaspoon or two. I really love this straight tea. Does not need sugar/honey, and I think it`s best when hot. brew at 195 for 3 minutes and you`ll have something absolutely special
Great tea. Smooth, clean but full of flavor. Its my first tea from the master's collection and I like it.
Quite a nice green tea >.< , light and green ... No Bitterness what so ever ... smell like freshly cut grass to me butt it taste like steam green vegetables ... very pleasant and highly recommended.
this tea is a mystery. sometimes you get almost a spice flavor, then floral almost jasmine with melon. worth the price because this can be used for more then one infusion.
This is such a wonderful tea. So glad I decided to try it!
I felt like this should have been better. Its good but not so outstanding to be worth the price i feel
I was given a sample of this tea with my last order and now it is my favorite. It is the only tea that I have made a search for. It is very refreshing and soothing at the same time. I now understand why is sold out.
The tin says oolong, but the leaves are green and they brew pale yellow. The aroma is very floral, and so is the medium-strength flavor
After reading the other reviews for this 'Masters' oolong tea I was very excited to try it. I used the recommended 3 grams and steeped for 3 minutes at around 185 degrees. Very interesting sweet floral aroma and a pleasant taste somewhat similar to jasmine. 2nd infusion I used slightly hotter water (~195 degrees) and no bitterness came through so I plan to make the 3rd infusion using 195 degree water. This is a very high quality tea and an excellent oolong. I look forward to it being re-stocked!
My favorite. It is like 3 or 4 different teas in one! Each brew is a new taste thus you get more bang for your buck. I love how it starts off with a cinnamon and spice like flavor and then by the 3rd brew you have more of a melon sweet flavor. Very enjoyable!
A tea for the purists at heart and those who enjoy a rich cuppa full of earthy, vegetal, and complex teas without bells and whistles! No sir! Who ever has a cuppa of Ti Kuan Yin has themselves a storied past of a great culture, the people who devoted their lives for the most simplistic crop, and an art that signifies tea into itself. Love and Devotion! What else is needed for this tea anyway?!
I am a green tea fan and this oolong compliments all of my favorite green teas. My favorite combination is this Fujian ti kuan yin with a few Fujian jasmin pearls. My first experience of the ti kuan yin was that the color of the tea during brewing was very light with a subtle aroma. The taste is refreshing with a flavor that has a subtle buttery taste
This is a lovely tea, very light with a pleasant floral scent. I hadn't tasted a 'green oolong' before this, so it was interesting to try. I liked the flavor best once it had become lukewarm since it brought out that melon-like sweetness. I was also surprised at just how much the tea leaves expanded - a heaping teaspoon in the bottom my IngenuiTea became enough to fill it a third of the way up! The leaves are huge and mostly unbroken, and this tea is great for multiple infusions.
This my first masters and I really enjoyed this tea. This will be one of the straight teas I will reorder. I usually add a little honey or amber sugar but this tea does not need anything,it is delicious on its own.
Love this tea. Great flavor but not overpowering.
One of the better ti guan yins I have had. The leaves after brewing, are very large and provide 3 pots of full flavor. Highly recommended.
I really loved this at first, especially the fact that I could get 5 or more steepings out of the leaves. But then by the 3rd or 4th day I began to find the taste too rich, too buttery. The quality was superb, but overall I prefer something more subtle.
My first masters, And is great. It is sooo soft, It's always in my purse.
A very nice oolong. If you like lighter greens, then I strongly recommend trying this.
My favorite cup of oolong tea...great floral aroma of honey suckle and a wonderfully sweet finish. Extremely complex flavor that will keep you coming back again and again for each cup. Even the second and third steeping where as good as the first.
I have nothing negative to say about this Oolong but I will warn those who, like me, are still learning about this tea.The 'masters' selection is for masters, and I would recommend staying away from the selection until your palate is more developed or you probably won't appreciate where all the extra money went.
Exellent tea. Very flowerly, light flavor and smooth.
I really like this for an oolong- deceptively pale colored brew that is quite flavorful and enjoyable for 3 infusions
The best. My go-to cup for those afternoons that drag on at work. I share this with others.
This tea is fantastic, it's smooth and wonderful. I can't recommend this tea enough, it's gone beyond my expectations. Light green and with a faint fruitiness, it's just lovely.
I found this to be a lovely tea, nice and floral. It's also very delicate and sweet. Although, it's a little light for my taste, so I ended up having to use 3 teaspoons instead of one per cup to bring out the flavor.
I've had a lot of Ti Kuan Yin over the years and this one ranks with the best of them. I honestly believe it is worth the price.
The 'master' oolongs continue to be great. Less floral than the formosa pouchong or formosa ali shan, more green. Resteeps well.
I didn't know really what to expect from this tea, I had not purchased it before. It is very mellow and perhaps I am not picking up on all the flavors. It is a large leaf tea that likes to float more than I would like it to. I'll have to work with this one for a bit.
Very good oolong. This tea is smooth and satisfying, although I'm not sure it is worth the price.
A wonderful tea with complex palette that lingers on your taste buds minutes after a sip. It stands well to 2-3 brews.
I do not have the fancy vocabulary to express how positively amazing this tea was. At the first cup I was put into a completely different state of mind. By the time I finished I was so deeply relaxed and content I thought I might
This was really a delicious tea - buttery, fresh, with a fragrance that was light and left a wonderful warmness in my mouth and throat when I drank it.
This is a very good TKY well worth the extra cost over Adagio's cheaper TKY. It is well-fermented and has a rich, full flavor that steeps quickly, allowing it to last well into the fourth steep (and beyond).
This Ti Kuan Yin is hands down the best TKY I've ever had. With its buttery tastes and floral aromas you can't go wrong. Would recommend to any drinker of liquids.
I love this tea. Buttery, smooth, aromatic. One of my all time favorites.
Really tasty and definitely worth it. I can reuse the tea leaves twice before the tea really loses its flavor.
This is marvelous, smooth, excellent tea. As others have noted, you can get 2-3 infusions from it.
This was my first foray into Oolongs. I'm glad I bought it.
Be still my heart! This oolong is incredible
I know this is a 'Master' but I actually like the ti kuan yin better and if I remember correctly, the latter is slightly lower in cost.
