This tea was pretty similar to a lot of the oolong I have had in the past. Though after having a cuppa, it left a little something there. It was a thick kind of taste but still very nice.
A darker oolong tea from Taiwan, formerly known as Formosa (which means 'Beautiful'). Deep raisiny and ripe fruit aroma, autumn 'leafy' note. The lingering flavor and smooth, refreshingly fruity astringency and a lovely introduction to Taiwanese tea.

Nice light oolong. The first thing I noticed was a light fruity flavor followed by an almost savory note. a little bit astringent. I like this one hot but it is even better iced.
I am more of the ti Kuan yin kind of oolong drinker but this one is good too
I grabbed a sample of this tea to try and liked it so much that I am buying a pound in my next order.
The dry leaves emit a musty, slightly sweet and tart scent that reminds me of dark, wet woods. The brew is a deep amber color with a more dry woods smell. The taste has a subtle vegetation taste, almost reminiscent of spinach. It is very smooth, with very little astringency. Adding just a touch of milk gives the tea an even more delicious complexity. Really nice tea!
In my opinion this Formosa oolong tea has a beautiful full flavor with a fruity finish, but if brewed properly has no bitterness. One of my favorite teas.
Formosa Oolong is a really nice tea. We made it last night and enjoyed it. It's a good all around mild tea, not too strong and not too weak. I would definitely recommend this tea to friends and family.
This oolong is hard to describe, it's a little fruity like peaches but there's a hardness to it as well, it's definitely not a soft tea. Mineral-y peaches? Either way it's a good one.
It's a really good earthy oolong. It's a a very lovely tea.
This is one of my favorites. It's a simple tea for all occasions. Really good earthy flavor
This is a very light oolong, almost a green tea. It's great in itself, but I think I'll go a bit darker next time.
smells a bit odd, but tastes quite good when hot. I am not very familiar with oolong, but i'm glad i bought this blend! I like it!
I didn't think I'd find another oolong that I'd like as much as the grapefruit oolong - what a way to start each morning! But the Formosa oolong is just as good, and I've added it to my favorite list. Mild but full of flavor - a great tea!
This tea is very complex and tasty at a very affordable cost!!
My very favorite Oolong tea- robust, sweet just an awesome tea- and reasonably priced.
This one isn't my favorite, but still high on the list.
A good basic medium body oolong- nice for a second or third cup or for a travel mug- (tolerates oversteeping well!) aromas of tobacco and hay- soft and gentle mouthfeel.
I didn't enjoy this oolong as much as I had hoped. Surprisingly, it seemed rather bland to me. Maybe I just do not 'get' oolongs.
They tried to talk us into buying the more expensive version, but this was better.
A solid oolong - requires maybe 2x the recommended tea per serving
A very nice oolong tea. Hard to oversteep, and very smooth.
This tea is wonderful! The aroma is so lovely! Would recommend to someone who loves oolong!
I love oolongs, especially the medium to darker ones. This one is very non-astringent, like most oolongs, but with deeper flavors than many others I've tried. The aroma makes me think of a damp autumn forest with musty, earthy, foliage-like aromas. Immediately apparent in taste is the slight smokiness from the cooking process. Then follows a rich flavor with, again, earthy fruitiness. One of the most full-bodied oolongs I've had, and was very enjoyable. I would also imagine it pairing well with a little cream or milk.
I have never tasted oolong tea like this. It is one you must try.
Takes me back to my grandmother's tea. I drink it mixed with gunpowder and it is very nostalgic.
a good classic roasted oolong that can be shared by all
Fantastic oolong. I use a teaspoon and a half to make a mug in the morning, and then leave the leaves steeping in a glass of water in the fridge to have a nice cup of iced oolong in the afternoon.
Who doesn't love Formosa Oolong? I can remember drinking this tea regularly in my childhood and was happy to become acquainted with its distinctive flavor again. Definitely worth a try.
This has a strong, Earthy flavor. Very grounded. Unfortunately, not for me.(
Reminds me of the tea in the Chinese restaurant, which is great! I agree with another reviewer is tastes best once it's cooled just a little. I like it with sugar.
Certainly tasty and aromatic. Soothing with the earthy taste.
This tea has a certain soothing feeling to it especially at the start of the day!
I love this tea! Very fresh tasting, with a good Oolong flavor that goes well with Chinese food. It doesn't require any sweetener to bring out the flavor.
This is my second oolong and neither have been a disappointment. It's more full than I imagined but very smooth.
I bought this tea for my son, and he really loves it.
I really like this oolong. It's a nice darker-style oolong with honey and floral notes up front on a background of foliage and nuts.
Earthy and dark, yet easy on the palate. Really like this one.
Earthy and figgy tasting in my opinion. I like this one hot and iced. :)
An excellent every day oolong. Has a wonderful, mellow flavor. Booyah!
I love most oolongs, but this has become my favorite over most except the masters oolongs.
A solid oolong tea, but there isn't really anything that stands out about it.
Ehh, its ok. Its what I'd imagine a tea made if sticks would taste like. Not my favorite.
This made the perfect pitcher of Southern Ice Tea. Strong, with a nice caramel raisin flavor and just enough tannis to stand up to the citrus and sugar we add. It's great by itself and is our family's favorite tea for the summer.
This is the tea I've been looking for! I love Oolong, but there are so many kinds, I hadn't found just the right one. This one is perfect. It has a great flavor, without being overpowering. It's somehow light, but still flavorful. It's delicious!
I was expecting a light and fragrant oolong, but this was surprisingly dark and earthy like a black tea. Had I been expecting that flavor, I probably would have enjoyed it more. If you're in search of that 'walk in the forest' flavor, this has it.
Formosa oolong is one of my favorites! I shared it with a few coworkers, and they loved it, too.
The taste and smell of this tea reminds me of one of my favorite aromas, wet leaves and a campfire in the mountains after a rainstorm.
This is a good oolong tea, smooth but easily oversteeps.
Nice dark oolong. Not the most complex flavor, but the flavor that you do get is very good.
This is exactly what you want and should expect a Taiwanese tea to taste like. Just the right amount of sweet and smooth, with a refreshing lingering taste. Definitely an every day tea, it might even make it up there with Earl Grey for a pleasant and spot on tea for any occasion.
