Subtile but grows on you over time. Leaves your palate in a very pleasant place. Will order again.
Taiwanese pouchong is the most lightly oxidized of all oolongs. Inviting sugary-floral nose from the emerald leaves, yielding pale golden liquor with a soft, melting butter texture. Uplifting honeysuckle aroma lingers on long after the last sip.

Subtile but grows on you over time. Leaves your palate in a very pleasant place. Will order again.
A good green oolong that I quite enjoyed. Personally, the floral notes were a bit too perfumey for me to give it a perfect rating.
A delightful tea with delicate aroma and sweet flavor. A nice 'special occasion' tea for when I have the time to enjoy several pours.
This tea has a lovely fragrance and quite a pleasant taste, but it was too mild for me. The intense, almost jasmine-like scent that wafts up to your nostrils as you drink is honestly the best part of drinking it, in my opinion.
Very delicate taste. Tea steeps to a pale gold color. Slightly floral. Water needs to be closer to boiling if not boiling, otherwise this won't steep well. Haven't tried a second steep for this tea yet, though supposedly you can.
I thought this tea was very good. Nice and smooth, not too heavy. Will purchase again.
Great light, delicate, and airy tea. Good to sip at anytime of the day if you want to just enjoy life and relax. I will be ordering more of this for sure.
If you enjoy floral aromatic teas this is a very good example of that. A little over powering for my taste but nice to try something different.
I thought this tea was fantastic. However since I'm not very familiar with pouchongs this will be more of a product description than a critique.
When I opened the box I was surprised by how dark the dry tea leaves looked -- much darker than the leaves of many oolongs. And the aroma of the dry tea was reminiscent of new mown hay: i.e., a bit grassy. However a remarkable transformation took place upon steeping. The beverage had a beautiful pale green color which almost looked chartreuse in the candlelight. and the aroma became floral and complex -- it reminded me of hibiscus and other edible flowers. Some teas have a disconcerting perfumey quality, but this aroma was much more subtle and dewily floral. I give it 14.88 points out of a possible 15! This tea can be resteeped with excellent results.
The tea has a deep flavor that I find enjoyable and would probably be good with milk.
This tea is amazing! It just may be the best oolong tea I've ever had, and it smells lovely... Make sure that when you drink your first cup of this, you brew it right, follow the instructions, it's worth the extra effort for this one!
Maybe it's just me, but it really tastes like I'm drinking the leaves off of a tree... Not pleasant...
This is one of my favorite teas. It has a very bright, smooth almost buttery flavor. however it does brew a little light so I find letting it brew for 5 or more minutes brings out a stronger flavor, and this tea is never bitter. A great lightly oxidized oolong.
The tea is light and flavorful, tastes great. However, I am not too fond of the smell - there is a bit too much 'hay' in it for me.
Very delicate. If you like a strong tea, this might even be considered bland for you. If you love to smell more than taste, perfect cup for you!
At the moment, this is my favorite oolong tea. I am still new at reviewing teas and describing what I smell and taste, so as a learning experience I read the descriptions to see if what I am experiencing matches up, and in this case it does exceedingly well. Wonderful aroma and smooth taste. The description says it has a butter-like texture, but to me it also has hints of butter in the aroma and taste. And it leaves a pleasant, sweet aftertaste.
So far I've gotten three tasty steepings out of one batch of leaves, with no diminishment of flavor or quality. This has an interesting fruitiness about it. I prefer it room temperature to hot.
A great tea, very earthy. It is a little light so I use more than the recommended amount of tea
wonderful tea. A nice light, delightful flavor but does get bitter fast if over brewed
This tea is simply amazing. It is very light in colour and rich in flavor that lingers for well after the cup is gone.
This is one of my new favorite teas! It tastes like a light mix between green and oolong. It can be brewed for a long time and still taste great!
I loved the taste and aroma of this tea. It reminded me of a Tie Quan Yin. It was like drinking therapy in a beautiful cup.
This is a very enjoyable, light, and honey-like pouchong. It has a natural sweetness that embodies both the vaguely coconutty quality that's often associated with pouchong, but with a more delicate flavor that reminds me moreso of honey, or possibly some kind of melon. In any case, it's really good stuff!
It has a slight vegetable like taste. It is a really good tea excellent for re steeping.
Adagio's description of 'melting-butter texture' is spot on. This is a fantastic tea and well worth the high price. Great floral scent and very smooth.
There is just something about this flavor that just makes you want to have another cup
Oooh this tea is divine! It's the masters blend and a gift from a friend and it's so smooth and full bodied. Delicious!update: the second brewing is just as good as the leaves continue to unfurl and produce great flavor. If you have a discerning palate for distinct quality tea, then this one is for you.
Formosa Pouchong is one of my favorite green oolongs. I like the delicate buttery taste of this tea. I can just drink this tea every afternoon.
I like this one a lot but not my favorite. I am a green and white tea drinker. I decided to try this even though it's an oolong. I like it and will enjoy it but I will not order again. For someone who enjoys oolong, I would definitely try it.
When I read 'Formosa' I grew weary because Formosa oolong is a bit bitter for me. However, this tea is very different. I would discribe it to be nutty and a little sweet. This is a great green oolong.
Brew is clear and yellow. Predominant tastes are floral and buttery. Smooth, bright, tea - very nice. Buttery note lasts through two infusions.
its a pricey tea that has plenty of flavor.
This tea was perfect for me, the smooth texture and and very refreshing finish put it in a class of its own.
This tea changed my mind about non-black teas in a BIG way. I love the malty punch of an Assam or the chocolatey sweetness of a Keemun so I was very unsure at first. I am so glad I listened to the reviewers and gave this a try. Buttery is not something I would have ever attributed to a beverage, but it is. There is a rich heaviness on the tongue balanced by a light floral taste. The second and third steepings offer a lighter still, but more nuanced, flavor. Just gorgeous.
It's definitely mild, but a very good example of this category.
loved it, rich bold flavor, darker oolong with a slightly sweet floral flavor.
Interesting flavor. Not a type of tea that I usually prefer, but I enjoyed brewing this when I wanted to relax and read.
This light, sweetly perfumed oolong is a delightful sip. There's a faint floral note, and a creaminess to it that I can't quite put words to. The delicate taste doesn't overwhelm your senses and holds just enough flavor to keep it from being bland. Overall I'd say a very relaxing cup of tea, perfect for quiet afternoons while I write.
I cannot wait to see how the second steeping holds up.
I loved this tea. To me it's a pretty subtle tea and I haven't mastered the perfect cup yet. All the flavours are very light and personally I think anything added to it just ruins the flavour. The taste and feel is very smooth, and as mentioned I found this to be a very subtle tea. The floral and loosely grassy taste is quite lovely and a good cup to enjoy late at night while winding down from the day.
I did not pick up the floral notes described either in the tin or cup. There was barely any odor to my tea. At first sip there was a green tea with pumpkin flavor that I really enjoyed. However, there was also a bold, peppery finish that after a few sips sort of took over my mouth until it was all I tasted. My husband had to same experience when he tried it. At first it's, 'Mmmmm' and then it turns, 'Ehhh.'
Really love this tea. So smooth. I'm able to get 3 steeps from it as well.
Interestingly, I liked Adagio's regular pouchong more than this higher quality version. This one was too light for my tastes.
A wonderful flowery tea! This could become a favorite! A little milk and honey makes this a delightful distraction from the daily grind.
Very smooth and buttery, a little sweet and floral. A bit pricey, but totaly worth it to indulge and relax!
Fantastic! I loved the rich creamy buttery taste and the delicate hints of a floral sweetness. It smells just as wonderful too, creating a luxurious experience overall. Definately a favorite!
Not at all thrilled, and the price just made it worse. Very limp. Not much complexity. Not a 'bad' tasting tea, just very bland. My least favorite tea I have tried from adagio.
Absolutely lovely. This tea is delicate and smooth, and the taste fills your mouth with a wonderful aftertaste. There's the slightly buttery aftertaste of a good oolong, too, which just makes this tea absolutely perfect. I could drink it every day if I won the lottery. .)
This tea is amazing! The flavor, the color, the quality of leaves are all phenomenal. It's floral, and fragrant, and a pure joy to drink. I realize I'm lacking proper words to describe how good this tea is! A must try for oolong lovers!
Very light, smooth taste. Perfect for relaxing in the afternoon.
I like the natural flavor of this tea but to be honest it was a little disappointing..
