Definitely one of my favorites, dancong is an extremely floral tea, as the description suggests. I find that the aroma is more potent than the tea itself, and I found myself pausing in between sips just to take it in. Not the most robust in terms of flavor, but one of the most rewarding teas to steep so far. I can find no fault in this cup. It was most reminiscent of peach, light and summery to be sure.

Awesome tea at an awesome price. I used to buy an oolong from teavana, but this is much better and about half the price! Great shipping as well

This tea means business!! Now I like floral teas, but this was 'crazy intense flowery mouth time' floral. At first I thought I had over-steeped it or added to much to my cup...nope, this tea is just VERY floral, it was definitely unique and not all too unpleasant but if you don't like floral teas I'd shy away from this one.

Another great oolong from adagio! Not as strong as some of the others.

★★★★★

As expected this oolong is most enjoyably complex and layered in its flavors, and superb for multiple infusions. I did three at 3.5, 3.5 and 5 minutes. The liquor is a lovely pale golden or vivid white wine color. In the first infusion the aroma is honeyed and slightly floral with peach pit tones, and the flavor is peach-honey with the somewhat zesty mineralness typical of dark Chinese oolongs. The astringency is moderate with an interestingly mineral-floral finish. In the second infusion the tea is more honey-floral and smooth, with the mineralness moving into the background. The third is even more smooth and sweet floral without any mineral tones. The floral finish lingers well, as oolongs always do. A very notable tea.

This tea had a very strong grassy, vegetal smell and flavor for me. I cannot get the sweetness or peachy flavor other reviews mention. Not a bad tea, but one I probably won't order again.

★☆☆☆☆

Tasteless, seems stale, no difference in taste from the water it is steeped in. I feel ripped off. I would rather have Rishi, Teavana, or even Lipton. This is terrible, flavorless junk.

First off the thing i notice most about this tea is its remarkable color. When brewed it has a reddish gold liquor that is stunning. Then the smell is reminiscent of the ooooh! darjeeling tea. It has a juicy complex flavor and a nice light finish. This will be a repurchase for me.

Dancong aria is a very dynamic tea, its flavor changes with each subsequent steeping. its flavor is slightly perfum-y and slightly flower-y with warm honey notes and more earthy undertones.

This is a fantastic dark oolong. The levels of flavor that this tea develops are unmatched by any other oolong I tried. First steeping is the most aromatic, further ones bring out a more woody base. Very refined, definitely recommended for anyone who appreciates oolong tea.

I tasted the mineral quality, which I definitely did like. Didn't get the peach flavor, I don't think, but the description said 'peach pit', and I did not recognize if I was tasting that or not. This tea reminded me of when I have tea in a Chinese restaurant and consider it good/authentic, as did the Fujian Rain. [That may be an Oolong thing?] Also, this one reminded me of the Fujian Rain, which I liked, too. Don't care for sweetener in these teas. I like drinking them for a really nice change, but not my every morning tea.

A black tea with nothing to especially recommend or complain about. Skip it and get something more luxurious.

Worth the costs and I will definitely order it again.

The dry smell was tropical and perfumey. but it brewed up into a tasty cup with hints of orchid floral notes and a sweet peachy undertones. It's not quite as bold as other Dan Congs I've had, but the sweet peach aftertaste more than makes up for that.

Great for a sipping tea, the flavor is subtle yet strong.

Deep, certainly oolong profile, roots, vinous, deep brown nearly in cup. Perhaps lacking in complexity what it makes up for in boldness.

Light bodied, but keeps the nut and wood flavours I expect from this style. Very smooth and aromatic. A nice solid wulong!

Very interesting tea with a slight mineral finish that reminds me of Fujian Rain a little. I would definatly buy it again.

this one suprised me.tasted like over ripe peaches, but not in a bad way or being overpowering in anyway. this is good with out sugar too.

★★★★★

This is a wonderful tea with which to sit, relax, and contemplate.

★★★★★

This tea reminds me of the tea I get at some hinese restaurants. However, unlike the restaurants, I have control over the steeping of the tea and it makes a world of difference. There is no bitter aftertaste and the complexity of the flavor is present in that as the temperature cools, different flavors come out. Use a bit of rock sugar to bring out fruitier tones. Honey brings out the nuttiness.

i was bummed when my local tea store suddenly recalled my favorite oolong - phoenix mountain dan cong - from its shelves after it was bought out by starbucks. glad i found another place that distributes it. i'm told it will be back in 'in a couple of months, so check back with us!' but the cost here is NOWHERE near as expensive as that store. thanks, adagio. my only problem with this tea is that i never have enough of it. it's just THAT good.

★★★★★

A favorite reasonably priced oolong. Exotic, earthy floral and peach notes produce a distinct and unforgettable flavor. Pan Huang knows what he's doing. Certainly not for everyone, but definitely one every oolong enthusiast should judge for themselves. Just the right mixture of bitter and sweet without being off-putting. Steep between 185-195 degrees for 3-4 minutes depending on preference.

My first attempt at this tea was cold. I tried this tea steeped via cold brew method in the fridge for 8 hours. The color is light, light greenish tan hue, slight cloudiness to it. The taste is amazing. Lightly floral, not overpowering. The tea in the cup tastes and smells like the smell of fresh hops, ever so slightly astringent, it keeps you coming back for sip after sip, I can't get enough of this. I love this tea. I am going to try it hot next.

Update on my last review. I have been making this tea hot, usually about 195 degrees. It has a distinctively different taste hot verses cold brew method. The hot brew method brings out honey, mild orchid/honey suckle

This is my favorite tea. It reminds me of the wild rose apples that I ate as a child in South Florida. They had a flowery flavor, and so does this tea. It's a 'quiet time' tea. It will turn bitter if brewed too hot, though.

The description says this oolong is a bit floral, I get a hint of fruit instead, peach maybe? I tend to steer clear of fruity tea but it's subtle and quite lovely in this oolong, this was a sample I'm ordering more now.

★★★★★

A very flavorful Oolong without being overbearing. I'm impressed.

★★★★★

The aroma combined with the floral and fruit notes in this tea have made it my new favorite Oolong. I found a sample in my pantry that I'd forgotten about, and it's been a more-than-pleasant surprise.

I really liked this one. I'm still not hugely knowledgeable about different types of oolong tea, but I'll definitely be getting this one again.

★★★★★

This oolong is crisp and clean clean with a subtle flavor to it. If you were to add sugar to it, it would overpower the tea. I wasn't sure how to feel about the first cup, but this is one of those that actually gets better the more times you've steeped it. I've steeped the leaves 4 times so far, and each cup gets crisper. I would definitely order again.

elegant tasting tea, perfect little afternoon pickmeup!

Nice aroma of citrus and apricots. Less mineral flavor than a wuyi. This is a really good dancong that does not have much astringency. Highly recommend.

This is a good oolong with an interesting flavor which holds up to multiple steepings very well. It has a nice earthy/mineral flavor in the first infusion and later infusions become more fruity and less earthy. I enjoyed this tea but it was not my favorite type of oolong.

Wow this tea is good. It has the slight taste of peach/apricot. Not enough to be a flavored tea but the right amount to get a nice tea flavor with a sweet aftertaste.

Another great oolong that seems to get better with more infusions. This is one I'll be keeping on my 'goto' list!

Very light but earthy flavor. I nice afternoon tea with no additional sweetness needed.

My daughter said the aftertaste was 'like a garden in her mouth'. She chose it from a sample prepared in the store, and it is now her favorite.

★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised with the natural fruit-like sweetness of this tea. As stated in the description of this tea, you can pickup the hint of apricot and honey. This is definitely a tea I will be purchasing in larger quantities.

So far my favorite Oolong tea. Went down very smooth and reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurant!

★★★☆☆

Seems to me that all oolongs taste the same to me. Just tastes to much like green tea.

★★★★★

This oolong is smooth and slightly earthy with a mild fruity aftertaste. Honey is also prominent but not overly strong. Agree with the reviewer who said this was a good introduction to Dancongs. Very good!

This tea is a nice, high quality oolong. It has a woodsy taste to it. A fairly light tea with a bit of natural sweetness. I tried this plain and with sweetener. It is one of the few teas that I prefer without any sweetener. It has almost a natural sweetness without any sweetener. Overall, I really enjoyed this tea. I have found this tea at other retailers who sell it for twice as much.

I was a bit put off my the 'peachy' description, because I don't typically love a fruity tea. But the sweet flavors aren't overwhelming in this truly delicious tea. This is my go-to mid-afternoon cup.

★★★★★

Great tea! The subtle flavor makes it perfect for any meal. I also like this one over ice!

★★★★☆

A pretty middle-of-the-road Phoenix oolong. Somewhat finicky (as are all Phoenix Mtn. teas) when it comes to infusion times. 20-40s per infusion is more than enough to draw out the aromas and flavors, especially if you use about double the leaf Adagio suggests. With a setup like that, you'll easily get 5-7 infusions.
