This is excellent. I totally love this tea. I have purchased it several times.
A rare tea from Phoenix Mountain in Guangdong province, China. Perfumy, orchid, and almond. Smooth and refined texture with flavors of fresh apricot, peach pit, and honey. Incredibly long finish. This is a tea to take your time with!

This is excellent. I totally love this tea. I have purchased it several times.
This is a really smooth black tea with a slightly nutty flavor. I liked it a lot.
This is good when you are just starting to drink tea. it is very light and refreshing.
Another great oolong, tons of honey and stone fruit, with the stone fruit becoming more and more prominent with more steepings.
Tastes like plain oolong with a mineral, almost peachy aftertaste. Very smooth cup, and the leaves are nice and long. Good for spring and summer. But in the fall and winter, I recommend switching to dancong aria's tea cousin, fujian baroque.
Nice and smokey with a honey-amber finish. I tried it in my new taiwan set and it was really delicious!
This is an oolong with a lot of flavor that will interest any tea lover.
not my cup of tea, not good cold and did t care for it
I absolutely loved this! It has a very full flavor and had such a soothing effect on me after a long Monday.
Highly buttery with a very subtle earthy aftertaste. It's a very aggressive oolong that not only does not require sugar but is loathe to accept it. Drink this unsweetened for greatest results.
This is unlike any tea I've tasted. It's floral, sweet, and tastes like it's flavored with... something, but the only thing in the tea is tea leaves. It's a little odd at first, but it's really great. The dry leaf smells almost identical to the Fujian Rain, and the final tea looks identical as well. So I was expecting something like that. It's a very pleasant change of pace from the normal tea flavors.
I usually prefer green oolong tea. But this is so light but so flavorful. It tastes softly fruity and floral. The floral flavor lingers on the tongue and creates a pleasant aftertaste. It would be a wonderful cup to have on a quiet afternoon. Update: I don't think this review properly explains my deep love of this tea. It's absolutely my favorite. It's beautiful peach pit floral flavor is impossible to rival. I've never tasted its equal. If you want to fully appreciate every nuance this tea has to offer, steep it at least twice, if not three times. Each infusion highlights something new and gorgeous. In addition to being sublime as a hot tea, this does surprisingly well as an iced tea. It really doesn't lose anything when made as an iced tea, which I never expected. If I could only drink one tea for the rest of my life, it would be this one, hands down.
Bought this tea for my father and it turned into his favorite tea. Let me say this he drinks a lot of tea and many different kinds so for it to turn into his favorite is no understatement. If you like oolong tea then this is one to have.
I tasted this when I tried the Dragon sampler and I had to order more. This is my favorite of the oolongs that I've tried from Adagio. It has a lovely sweet flavor with strong notes of almonds.
The first sip was very floral and as I swirled it around the peach flavor came out. A very subtle and pleasant tea.
I expected to be bowled over, as I was with the pouchong. It's just an ok oolong, very light flavor.
I prefer floral teas, such as the Jade Oolong, but this was definitely not bad. I'd say its worth buying a sample to taste it for yourself.
I was a bit let down by this tea. I know that Dancong tends to be very fussy about how you brew it, but nothing I did to this tea gave me the results I was looking for.
This tea have many subtle tastes which gives it personality. Good for evening tea time and goes well with agave nectar to sweeten.
This is my favorite 'at-work' tea. It keeps me calm, relaxed and focused. Yum!
This is the smoothest oolong that I have ever drank. I don't want to say it's buttery, but it is so rich and almost creamy that I can't think of a better word. I definitely pick up on the peach pit and honey, and the finish is very mineral but warming. The scent of it instantly puts a smile on my face!
Wow. Quite the unique experience this one is. I would highly recommend this tea for those who love oolongs or for those looking for a unique tea. It has a smell that reminds me of spice and flowers and it tastes like honey and orchids. It also has a very unique taste to it that I just can't describe. Be careful not to over steep but if you do, it does have added characteristics that isn't just bitterness.
This is a good mild dark Oolong. It has a black tea taste, but not as strong. It is also sweet with hints of apricot.
This is a very good light oolong. Be very careful not to overbrew it though or it quickly becomes bitter. It should be a lovely pale yellow color. Very light and fruity tasting without being overwhelming. Perfect for an afternoon tea.
This is a delicious oolong, full of fruit and honey notes but beware of over infusion, as it can take a lot of that beauty away. Perfect gong fu oolong that can withstand many infusions.
This is an extremely complex flavored tea. Very long drawn out flavors. I get something that I can only explain as somewhere between a sassafras and cinnamon flavor. Very good. The flavor seems to come out more after sitting and cooling a few degrees.
This is a great oolong. You can get multiple infusions from it and the fruitiness of the tea isn't overbearing. This tea is refreshing.
I've had oolong's before and thought they were lacking flavor, but decided to give what seemed to be a very good oolong a try. It's good, and I can recognize the slight peachy flavor. I think my palatte perhaps isn't as refined as regular drinkers of oolong, though - I'll stick with a bit stronger tasting teas.
Finally, a smooth rich Oolong. Most are too light for me unless I am drinking it with Asian food or dessert. This one has has enough character to enjoy all by itself. No sweetner needed!
I tried it mostly because of my fiance, but I like my tea a little stronger. Still good though!
This is a very good oolong. It has a very delicate, slightly floral taste. For the quality of the oolong the price isn't too bad.
Expensive. Delicious. Mellow, with good green tea-driven flavor.
This is a delicious tea! There is a definite mild scent to it that is unlike most other oolongs I have tried. I taste florals, peaches, and a definite honey note. I am a big fan, and look forward to the new few steeps!
Smooth earthy flavor, with little astringency. flavor is subtle and clean. one of the better Oolong varieties i have tried.
1/26/14 Western tea before driving in the snow to a Chinese tea class. 3g/6oz/190F/3min. First impressions. Floral bitterness. Good mouth feel, present but not heavy. A pleasant drink for a hurried moment, and a good primer for spending an afternoon with similiar teas.
Not my go-to oolong. a little light but lovely sweet flavors. From the description, I was hoping for a bolder taste, but it's good when you want a nice oolong with subtlety.
Sorry to say, but absolutely disgusting to my taste. Kind of 'medicinal' flavor.
Beautiful full leaves that brew best in a teapot. They just won't fit in a mesh infuser for a mugful. Strong floral and fruity flavor.
A beautiful, smooth, and subtle tea with notes of honey, almond, and peach. Very soothing and relaxing. The color is a light golden yellow. This tea is excellent for multiple infusions.
I was expecting peach and floral notes, but mostly tasted that mineral taste that some oolongs have. I think this tea deserves more attention, as I suspect I may have brewed it too hot.
Another day, another black tea I didn't really enjoy unless I underbrew it and/or mix with something herbal. It's still good to try new things.
I don't drink much oolongs, but this one's decent.
This is a pleasant tea. It has a very smooth taste and a good lasting aftertaste. This could be an every day in the afternoon. I prefer something a big stronger in the mornings though.
What a great tea!! Some may not like it, but it suits my tastes very well. Incredibly dry. Peach pit comes through really well. Short and long brew both taste wonderful!
This tea is amazing, seriously. I taste unripened peaches, pear, and white grape flavors all mixing together to make a sweet nectar-like tea. The flavors change slightly as the tea cools - I think they're the strongest when the tea is lukewarm. I absolutely love this tea and will be reordering for sure.
Usually when I read that a tea tastes like a certain fruit, I assume it doesn't and they're just describing it that way because it's the easiest way to describe it to someone who hasn't actually tasted it. This really does taste like a peach/apricot tea, though. Unfortunately, the overall flavor is just not very good.
I had never tried an oolong tea before and perhaps this was not a good one to start off with. I would have rated it awful, but I do feel that the taste is accurate to its decription. Apparently I am just not a fan of this flovor profile.
Who needs to buy peach-flavored oolong when this one naturally tastes like charred, delicious peaches?! I made a peach pie yesterday after drinking this tea, and thought, 'They taste the same.' A little smoky, floral, and fruity all on its own, this is quickly becoming a favorite among my oolong collection. Whenever I finish my sample, I'll definitely be getting more. Also to note, the flavors linger on the back of your tongue for quite some time even after the cup is empty. Adagio, you have seduced me once again.
Totally awesome flavor. I have tried to save it as my 'special treat to myself' tea but gave up and drink it most of the day. The peach and/or apricot aroma and after taste has a pick-me-up effect in the mornings yet is also soothing at night. I like it strong so I use a higher heat and longer brewing time. This tea is best as is. Anything else you add to it would be hiding it's naturally sweet flavor. It's very nice the second brewing but my favorite is the stronger first brewing. Still one of my favorites.
A complex oolong that develops flavor through multiple brewings. Slightly smoky at first, it opens up into more floral flavors reminiscent of papaya.
Even years later, having grown into an experienced adagio tea drinker, I am enjoying this tea.
