It's nice but I like the white toasted coconut more.
Our velvety smooth pouchong lays the perfect foundation for the tropical flavor of coconut to shine.

It's nice but I like the white toasted coconut more.
This is an excellent tea for both winter and summer. It has a mellow flavor with a hint of coconut in the scent that makes it comforting and mild.
Very good coconut flavor, and very tasty blend. Only wish is that it could be just a bit more flavorful
I’m not as big of a fan of coconut in tea as I thought I’d be, but if you are then this is a tea for you.
My husband is all over this tea! I will surely have to buy more on the next order.
I like teas with coconut and I could smell it but the green tea was overwhelming. Not at the top of the coconut blends for me. I just normally do not care for green tea but I keep searching!
Compared to the White Toasted Coconut tea my pallet could definately detect the coconut flavor when drinking it hot or cold.
Coconut flavor comes through pretty good, not overpowering at all. I would say a well rounded tea overall.
I only ordered the sample size of this one because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. I'm really glad I took a risk, because I absolutely LOVE this tea!! Definitely will be ordering more in the future!
This tea is absolutely delicious. Will definitely purchase again.
A gentler version of oolong tea with a ribbon of coconut flavor to match. This was my first and very delightful Pouchong tea experience. I discovered that Pouchong green oolong has its niche between unoxidized green tea and more oxidized oolong tea. It is slightly oxidized at 10 to 20 percent and is a prized tea in Taiwan. Its amiable flavor is just right to buddy up with coconut. While Pouchong delivers a smooth, slightly nutty and a very whispery green tea taste, the coconut flavor adds a creamy flavored touch. I didn’t detect any bitterness from the Pouchong when I brewed, just a slight astringency that gave the tea a pleasant tang at the finish.
My Ct packet had a sweet coconut aroma when I opened it. There were 3 g/ 2.5 tsp of dark green tea leaves, a quite a few pieces of coconut and a scattering of blue cornflowers making it a very pretty dry tea. I brewed 10 oz. at 195F for 5 minutes. The first sip of the yellow golden liquor had a savory quality that carried the coconut taste well. No bitterness was detected and I sweetened with honey which elevated the best of the tea base flavor and boosted the coconut taste. The little blue cornflowers might have added just a bit of their floral -bitter or clove-like taste to the coconut to tame it as it wasn’t overwhelming in this tea. I set a sweetened portion too in the fridge to chill overnight and tasted it the next day. Chilled, it was delicious. I also resteeped the tea leaves two more times. Both 8 oz. resteeps were milder in flavor but still enjoyable. The flavor of the last steep was virtually coconut free and reminded me of sipping a non grassy non vegetal green tea. This was a very pleasant flavored tea today and a yummy introduction to Pouchong teas.
I really love this tea. It’s a very light tea with a lovely coconut aroma and flavor that really comes out with a touch of sweetener
I love the big shreds of coconut with the green tea. This tea has a mellow, smooth buttery, very nice, and enjoyable coconut flavor with the pouchong tea.
This had a yummy smooth coconut flavor and since I love all things coconut it was easy to like.
I honestly liked this one. I'm a fan of coconut and found this to have a nicely mild coconut flavor that was quite appealing.
What a sight to start off - large twisty tea leaves, bright blue cornflowers, and big chunks of coconut! The smell of the tea as it brews is pleasantly toasty and coconutty. After steeping 4 minutes at 195F, the taste is almost all coconut, with maybe a hint of earthiness. I haven't had pouchong before, so perhaps its flavor would be easier to pick out if I knew what I was looking for. Nevertheless this was a delightful tropical tea and would be great iced as well, with or without sweetener.
It's pretty good iced with a bit of sweetner. It would be a refreshing pick for a coconut fan. :)
Pardon the pun, but this blend drove me Coco- nuts!
I couldn't resist; all jokes aside it was a good blend. Very strong coconut smell, though when I drank my cup it was...a bit less strong than I expected. Still a nice sip though.
I was excited about the coconut included in this blend and curious about pouchong, which I've never tried. Because I was concerned about a single mug being too strong, I brewed the tea in my Adagio pot (195*/4 mins). The flavor was very delicate but distinct, with a light sweetness from the coconut. It became slightly astringent as it cooled, but was not bitter. I liked how the coconut fragrance remained strong enough to detect with every sip. I shared with a coworker who isn't usually a fan of green tea and she enjoyed it too!
I love the taste of coconut so I was looking forward to this and I was not disappointed. The flavor is very mellow. You get the essence of coconut without being bowled over by it. Excellent tea!
A strong coconut scent hit me when I opened the packet and the tea had a great coconut flavor. I really liked the black tea coconut but I think this is better with more of a background flavor that adds that extra something.
When I opened my CommuniTea packet, I smelled strong aromas of coconut. I'm not a huge fan of teas with super strong coconut flavors, so I steeped the tea for 3 minutes. For me this was a perfect amount of time as the coconut flavor was not overpowering and it balanced nicely with the pouchong tea. Overall, a very delightful tea!
While I am not normally a fan of coconut, this tea was very refreshing and delicious. I did not have much coconut in my packet so perhaps that is why I don't hate it :)
My new favorite coconut blend. My CommuniTEA sample was very well balanced and smooth.
I steeped this tea at the recommended 195° for 3 minutes. I have had several tea blends with coconut as part of the CommuniTEA, many were very strong coconut flavored. I decided to err on the lower end of the steep time hoping that I wouldn’t get such a strong taste. I was happy with the results. I tasted the coconut along with the flavors of the pouchong. This is a coconut tea I will recommend to those who want a subtle and balanced coconut flavor.
This tea became more enjoyable as it cooled. The sweetness and flavor of the coconut really came out as it moved from hot to warm.
Today's CommuniTea packet is coconut grove pouchong with pouchong tea, coconut, coconut flavor and blue cornflowers. I don't dislike coconut, but I can find it overpowering. I have to be in the right mood to enjoy it. Luckily, the coconut aroma, especially in the packet, was stronger than the coconut taste. For me that's a plus, your mileage may vary. A delicate green-adjacent tea brewed in 12 ounces of 190-degree water for abt three minutes.
Not a fan. I had to look for the coconut when tasting. The tea itself was very earthy with a complex mix of flavors that didn’t necessarily seem cohesive… it was not bitter and once honey was added was smooth and more pleasant in flavor.
A nice tea that reminds me of summertime with its nice coconut flavor! This is one of the better coconut forward teas that had a smooth finish all the way down.
One of my favorite oolongs. Toasted coconut combines nicely with a floral/jasmine oolong. A nice, relaxing, and tropical sip.
In the bag: The central ingredient is the roughly chopped oolong, forest green to tan. Plenty of tea stems accompany these leaves. Several white strips of coconut. A scattering of bright blue cornflowers.
On the nose (pre-steep): No surprise, coconut is the main flavor. Just behind it, though, resides a musky scent. I would imagine that musk is the tea coming through. No sweetness.
On the nose (post-steep): The semi-sweet grassy aroma of the oolong is center stage. Coconut plays around the edges of the scent, but it's subtle.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Quite similar to the post-steep scent. Grassy oolong is nearly the sole flavor while coconut merely teases us with its scant presence. Surprisingly little bitterness given my preparation.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change.
Opinion: A decent tea, though not one I'll crave. The coconut had a bit part in the show's opening but didn't have much dialogue after that. Since I'm not a fan of most naked teas, the plain oolong that remained wasn't enough for me.
Preparation: 4 min @ 212 ℉ (Jim R. recommended this prep), ½ tsp monk fruit sweetener
I fell in love with this pouchong the last time we sampled it; and my feelings have not changed! It makes a wonderful iced tea but is just as delicious hot with a bit of stevia.
Oh my. The aroma from the packet was gorgeous, and the flavour left nothing to be desired. This was my first Pouchong tea, and I think it worked really well with the coconut. I also love that it's oxidised just enough that it doesn't taste like a typical green tea. The coconutty goodness was a true representation and I felt like I was drinking this tea straight from a coconut on the beach. This one's definitely a keeper.
Great taste...Much better than the original adagio s coconut pouchong. The coconut tastes fresh and the fruit hugs the green tea pouchong in a way that is so amazing, you just can't have one cup serving.
Coconut Grove Pouchong
Recommended Steep 195°F for 3-5 minutes. I steeped at 200°F, since I don’t have a 195 °F setting on my teapot, for 4 minutes in approximately 11 oz of water with 1.5 tsp of Adagio tea/rock sugar.
Upon opening, all ingredients appeared to be accounted for, including once good-sized coconut shaving. Usually when I’ve had coconut, it has been in blends with more ingredients, and/or with black tea. This means that coconut blends are usually rather hit or miss for me. Thankfully, this blend does not use a black tea. I also only used half of my coconut in an effort to ensure I would enjoy this tea. I was quite surprised and pleased to find that I did indeed enjoy the tea when prepared in this manner. I also think this might be good as a latte. Where at first I had my reservations, I can now say that I would not mind having this tea in the future. 4 stars from me.
This appears to be a thoroughly enjoyable tea for coconut lovers.
UPDATED from 1/24/22: The sweet aroma of coconut fills the air as the CommuniTEA packet opens. It steeps into a cloudy golden color. Yummy coconut - sweet and mild with a soft mouthfeel. The pouchong and oolong make a nice pair, with only moderate caffeine while hot. I ended up finishing it cold - which was not as good since a bitterness appears and fights the coconut for dominance. Thank goodness for the coconut - which lingers through to the finish. (5 mins @ 195ºF + sweetener).
Refreshing but i did not taste as much coconut us I would think. It gave a bit of energy enough to get me through the rest of Christmas.
I think this Coconut Grove Pouchong is more potent in the coconut taste as it gives a tastier punch with the larger coconut pieces. The blue cornflowers give an interesting special softness to the flavors for me. I like this tea and will purchase again.
I keep repurchasing because I love to drink this tea. Very rich and satisfying. I brew up to 5 minutes with very hot water. This is my savory go to tea.
My favorite tea used to be Adagio's coconut pouchong and when I came back to reorder I noticed it was changed to this mix. Luckily it tastes just as good! I love it with some honey.
The coconut flavor is so beautiful in the tea. It is strong but not overpowering. The tea is smooth like a green tea but not bitter like green tea can be.
While a very nice blend, the balance between the Coconut and Pouchong was a bit off. Neither flavor made a strong presence.
My friends and I loved this coconut tea. The smell is amazing.
An absolute favorite! This tea is so smooth and delicious. The coconut really comes through as a vibrant note in a very creamy tea. Highly recommend!
Very aromatic! Earthy but warm/slightly dense. Lovs it.
The coconut flavor in this blend really brings forth the flavors of the Pouchong without overpowering them. Careful not to brew too long or hot though, this leaf definitely releases those bitter notes at the drop of a hat.
This is very surtle. I think it could have more flavor but it is still pretty good.
One of my favorite blends. It's got a great base flavor and the coconut makes it creamy and smooth. It takes sugar well too - the flavors aren't dimmed at all.
A great coconut-centric oolong! Really loved it as an iced soy latte.
This is a delicate, delicious tea! I didn't get much coconut flavor, but what I did taste was floral and a little grassy. Gets better with honey.
