It's not doing it for me this time around, and I'm sad about that. When I opened the packet, all I got was cherry cough syrup. No almond/marzipan, just cough syrup. And still marzipan on the palate, even as it cooled. The cherry is coming across artificial this time, and that combined with the rose seems to leave no room for the marzipan flavours. I don't know what changed since last year, but put it back, please!

Oh my. Such a delicious aroma, and so much flavour to match! I would never have picked this one out of a lineup as something I'd enjoy this much, but it's a winner!

My first impression when I opened the packet was the scent of a cherry cough drop. Luckily, this tea tasted better than a cough drop. The oolong is smooth enough to allow a fair amount of cherry to come through. I could also taste the almond. I did not detect any cinnamon. It's not a bad tea, although the cherry flavor does taste 'fabricated'. I wish the cinnamon would have been present, I may have enjoyed the tea more.

love Oolong and was excited to try this. Unfortunately, I think I am very sensitive to 'natural flavoring'. Almond can taste a bit medicinal anyway but that on top of the natural flavoring made it taste synthetic and like alcohol to me.

It tasted a lot like cherry biscotti, particularly with a splash of milk. Unsweetened and without milk, there was a slight floral aftertaste, reminiscent of cherry blossoms or rose Otto. When lightly sweetened (touch of sugar), the floral notes were highly pronounced. Remarkably versatile based on what you care to add.

It certainly tastes like cherry marzipan, which is impressive for a tea. A spoonful of sugar does well to bring out the flavor, making a very dessert-style tea. If you're a fan of cherry marzipan, this is certainly the tea for you.

Ok, just not my favorite flavor combination. I am usually not a fan of artificial cherry flavoring.

UPDATED from 5/7/22: What an interesting oolong and amazing aroma as the CommuniTEA packet opens. The ingredients smell like cherry marzipan candies. They steep (at a slightly lower temp) into a deep golden color. The cinnamon flavor is the first to make itself known. It is hot and spicy and compliments the cool, tart cherry. The oolong is delicate, and has a soft mouthfeel. The almond flavor blooms in the finish, leaving the taste of marzipan lingering lazily on my tongue. This is yummy hot or cold. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) really turns the cup into a mild cherry marzipan candy - without the calories. (3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener).

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one. Cherries aren’t usually my first choice, and although I enjoy eating almonds, almond flavoring is usually a miss with me. But this came together as a lovely dessert tea. Even better with a bit of chocolate as a few in the CommuniTEA suggested - I dunked in my chocolate-chip scone, and it was a divine combination. Ultimately, I think I would buy this tea, which is a surprise to me.

A slightly sweet tea that doesn't quite taste as much like marzipan as I might have expected - the cinnamon comes through just a bit too much, giving it some spice that I definitely do not associate with the desert. I'm not getting a lot of cherry either. I expected fruity-nutty-sweet and instead got spicy-floral-sweet, which I don't mind, but wasn't really the craving I was trying to satisfy.

This was good. It just isn't as good as my favorite Spring Cherry green for me. Nothing really bad about it, just didn't thrill me. I would totally drink it if given to me and would be an ok substitute for my favorite, but it can never replace it.

Unfortunately, the cherry in this oolong reminds me a bit too much of cough syrup. I’m not sure if adding cream or another tea flavor might balance that better.

Yummy! This has such a great flavor profile, I just love it. I’m finding that I am enjoying most of the teas I’ve tried with Oolong - it seems to have a more mellow flavor to me.

Like candy in a cup, yet it retains its complexity.

I agree with the other reviews. This tea has a VERY strong cherry taste. I tried mixing it with a vanilla flavored tea to help balance out the flavor a bit.

Such a fun flavor! I do not feel like the cherry flavor is nearly as strong as marzipan, but it is strong enough to keep up with the oolong flavor.

Fruity with almond accents this is a very good tea, particularly when lightly sweetened. I was the marzipan was a bit stronger, but that's a minor thing.

This is a tasty tea. The cherry and marzipan flavors are both a little milder than I expected, even with extended steeping. But, it was still quite delicious.

This was a sweet and fragrant tea. I brewed it like the packaging recommended and it did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend it

This tea is absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend this tea both normally and with some vanilla coffee creamer in it!

It's weird with any teas that have cherry flavoring it always tastes off a bit like cough medicine cherry flavoring, ehhh
★★★☆☆
Would prefer more cherry and almond flavor and less rose hips and other ingredients. going to try adding some vanilla tea and see if that dilutes the rose hip flavor
★★★★★
Very tasty tea without an excessive caffeine level however I felt that the almond flavor could have been a little stronger, so I put some almond rooibos in mine and that balanced the cherry flavor for my taste

I found the flavour could be a bit overwhelming at times, but steeping it at a lower temperature could mitigate it somewhat. This tea wasn't as fruity as I was hoping, and the marzipan flavour was a bit too strong. It's an acquired taste, I think.

Fantastic! The scent gives you the cherry with wonderful hints of almond from the marzipan. We really enjoyed it warm, and are looking forward to trying it iced.

Not a fan of this one! I think this is the first one I threw out without finishing. Reminded me of cough sryup.

Ohhh, this one is beautiful, and honestly benefits from being a little heavy-handed with the sugar. A bit more sugar than usual helps bring out the cherry, and this tea tastes like drinking a really good cherry marzipan candy.

Just like marzipan itself, this one feels like an acquired taste. My first brewing with NOT enjoyable, so I tried sweetening it with honey and that upped the experience by leaps and bounds.

This was very yummy good, fruit goes well with oolong. Its a bold nice warm tea to sip and enjoy for fall

A strong hit of Cherry upfront with a good nutty finish. great hot or cold over ice

Perhaps this is just me buying a product I knew I wouldn't like, but this is *too* cherry forward. I think I was imagining some sort of cherry cordial/almond tart kind of taste when I tried this, but it just tastes like, well, cherry. For me, not a favorite, but if you enjoy cherry...

A pleasant combo that’a pretty well described by the name. I found the mix much better outside of a sample pouch. Smooth mouthfeel and good flavor.

I normally think the fruity teas all taste the same--not this one. It really tastes like cherry marzipan. It has a great smell and strong (but not overpowering) flavor. It is well balanced but bold, like a good masala chia--not saying it tastes like a chia. This might go into my rotation.

One of my favorite teas, the marzipan and cherry mix very well to create a sweet flavor that tastes like almond pastries. The oolong tea also adds a unique flavor to it. One of my favorites, perfect for around Christmastime.

As long as you're not put off by in-your-face cherries, you'll love the way this one smells as it steeps. The actual flavour is much less intense, with cherry and cinnamon taking the lead. There was a bit less almond presence than I would have liked, but overall it's a satisfying cup that needs no sweeteners to go down like candy.

My kids selected this one for the cherry flavor. We have only tried it iced. Not bad flavor but smells/tastes almost exactly like Juergens original scent, cherry blossom lotion which was too off putting to me.

I liked the description and concepts in this tea, but didn't love how it came together in taste. The Almond taste was strong and a bit off-putting to me, and the cherry element reminded me of cough syrup. Maybe a larger sample vs my CommuniTea packet would give me a better representation of the tea
