This was... fine, I guess. I love marzipan and oolong, and generally like cherries and cherry teas. I am not a big fan of cinnamon or rose. When I opened the packet I thought 'oh no' because this smells... like an elderly lady's bathroom potpourri basket. As a tea, at the beginning it tastes mostly like cherry and almonds with the rose and cinnamon receding (THANKFULLY!) into supporting roles. It isn't as bright as I hope from cherry and not as almondy as I'd expect from something with 'marzipan' in its title. As it cools the cherry front dissipates and you're left with cherry-esque aftertaste instead. The mouthfeel from the oolong is nice. I'm not often glad a tea doesn't taste like it smells. Doubt I'd buy it again.

Not for me unfortunately, tastes and smells like perfume… The scent was so intense that it felt artificial, rather than the soothing aroma I usually associate with a good cup of tea.

Usually cherry teas are either a hit or a miss, doesn't matter, they just either bring it or they don't, and being that cherry is my most favorite flavor in the world, I have very high standards. That being said; drinking this was like eating a dessert. I absolutely loved it. So much. I had to do a fourth run through of it, where the taste was barely there, but it was just that good. 10/10.

This one reminds me of cherry amaretto. Very sweet and almost nutty. Found this tea as part of a larger set and felt it was well worth a reorder.

Mmmmm! The smell was fantastic as I opened my CommuniTea packet. Cherry, almond and tea scent...lovely! I pulled the brew temp back a bit to 200F, and brewed for 4 minutes. The flavors blend together well. I used 1/2 t Truvia to bring out the almond sweetness. I like this tea! I think on second steep I'm going to put in a bit of Wild Strawberry and see if that brings out some tart nuances. I definitely see a full bag of this tea in my future! I wonder if this new flavor will be available to blend with?? I have an idea! :)

6/23/2021 - Tea again in the CommuniTea lineup today! Apparently Adagio took customer's comments on the cherry flavoring and made improvements! I liked this tea before -- I like it even more now!! Nice blend of cherry, almond and oolong! The flavors blend nicely! Mmmmmmm

Excellent tea. Cherry and almond blend well together. Also used a splash of honey to enhance the flavors. Will be ordering this one again.

While I love cherry and marzipan it overpowered the tea and I'm finding I'm not loving oolong flavored teas here. No worries. I love plenty else and will get around to tasting just oolong.

★★★★★

What a great tea! I've tried other cherry marzipan teas hoping I would like them and was disappointed with them. I loved this one! The cherry and almond melded together to make an amazing flavor that wasn't overpowering.

I don't know why I haven't tried this tea before. Cherry is one of my favorite flavors along with the lovely almond flavor of Marzipan. Combined it is a perfect dessert tea. I'll be ordering more of this.

The smell from the package alone is amazing. After brewing the cherry smell is heavenly

I love marzipan and I love Oolong teas, but I was disappointed with this tea. I've tried it steeped with more and with little but both times left me wanting. Can't really taste cherry and the marzipan flavor seems off, fake. I will stay with my favorite - almond oolong. It's much more pleasing.

Delicious tea with cherry flavors robustness to your tongue. The best

I make ice teas and then carbonate them to make seltzers, and this tea is superb as a seltzer. It has a well-rounded flavor (sweetness from the cherry and almond, warmth from the oolong and cinnamon) and is really lovely.

★★★★★

This one is very good. Everything is well balanced, and you can clearly taste everything that's in there.

★★★★★

An intriguing blend-- one of those teas that manages to feel fully like a dessert, with the double candy flavors of cherry and marzipan. The scent alone is enough to make your mouth water.

★★★☆☆

A beautiful tea, but the cherry and rose where a bit strong for my taste.

This is a very good tea to drink as a dessert. It sweet and very satisfying. I highly recommend this tea to anyone who likes Cherries.

LOVE this tea!! It smells delicious on opening and when made into a drink it is a lovely combination of cherry and almond. The flavor just gets better as it sits too which is nice for a slow tea drinker.

Some of the cherry flavored teas from Adagio are just to artificial for my taste, but this one blended with the almond flavor just works beautifully. I sweetened the cup with a bit of pure stevia (which I tend to do with most flavored teas to bring out the fruity or nutty elements a bit more). This one is a lovely desert style tea.

I really enjoy this tea and find myself coming back to it often, even if it's not perfect. There's something about the cherry flavor that I find a little off-putting, which is weird because I've liked other cherry flavored items from Adagio. Perhaps it's the combination with the marzipan? Either way, I'd suggest giving it a try no matter what.

Ooo la la! The cherry 🍒 is absolutely delicious! Just may be my new fav!! If you are hesitant, don't delay... place your order today

just a little too artificial flavored for me! maybe with a lesser steep and combined with a plain oolong it would be better

I enjoyed this blend. Pleasantly soothing. Hints of marzipan and cherry, almond and a touch of cinnamon. I tasted the rise more when cold. I think I prefer this tea cold. I enjoyed without sweetener and it was like a dessert tea

I don't really care for Adaigio's cherry flavoring but the almond and rose saved this for me. I preferred this with cream and sweetener and it's more of 3.5 stars when they're added.

The flavors in this tea were pretty mild to me. There was a nice blend of cherry and almond but they just seemed subdued quite a bit. I added sweetner and a little cream to help bring out the flavors.

The cherry is a bit medicinal, but with some dark agave added, it helped to darken the flavour somewhat. The rosehips were light and added a nice background tartness. The cinnamon was absent from my CommuniTEA packet, unfortunately.

I like all cherry flavors in drinks and foods. This tea didn’t disappoint me at all. The cherry and almond flavors taste good together. The oolong tea is a nice base for this blend. The first time I tried it from the CommuniTEA last year I ordered a 16oz bag so I would not run out for quite a bit.

Not my cuppa. Cherry and almond too strong and confected. Tasted like a Bakewell tart so if you like those you might love this. I prefer the cake!!

★★★☆☆

I was really looking forward to this tea because I love almonds and marzipan. Unfortunately, the cherry and rose flavors overpowered the almond. I did give it a second steep and found that I enjoyed it more than the first steep. 210 degrees for 3 min then 210 degrees for 5 min.

The scent of this tea is medicinal cherry. When brewed hot it has a soothing, delicious cherry flavor. I reserved some for iced tea and I’m really glad I did. When cold, I could really pick up on notes of cinnamon as well as the cherry.

When I opened the packet I immediately loved the smell and wanted this tea to taste exactly like it smelled. It didn't quite turn out that way at first. I would get an occasional hint but not the strength I hoped for. The first sips were just sweetened. I decided to add a little milk and that did the trick. It seemed to bring out the distinct cherry and almond flavors I was hoping for. Disclaimer: I normally enjoy my tea with milk and sweeter unless it's a green tea or chamomile but I'm trying to expand my horizons with the CommuniTEA and try them without additives first.

★★★★★

I am typically not a fan of Oolong teas, but this was a very pleasant surprise! Out of the packet the aroma was almost overwhelming with cherries and little else.
After making it, the cherry settled down but was still a dominant presence reminiscent of a dark cherry dessert. Definitely a keeper!

I really enjoyed this tea offered today in the CommuniTEA. I was wary at first as it seems there are those that don’t care for it. I think the almond flavoring pairs well with the cherry so the cherry flavor is not overwhelming.
I did not taste any cinnamon in the tea. It is delightfully refreshing!

Amazing! I don’t leave a lot of reviews but this is so delicious, I had to! It’s smooth and sweet and pretty perfect for my palate. I tried it as part of CommuniTEA and am going to need to buy more ASAP. Slightly obsessed. 😊

Strong cherry scent out of the package. Like, really strong. Tasted pretty good but not the best. Wouldn't turn it down if offered but will never seek it out.

★★★★★

Had this with a waffle and some sausage. Pretty tasty, the cherry stood out but wasn’t overpowering.

★★★☆☆

Personally I do not get any of the almond flavor but I did like the mouthfeel from the oolong. When I opened the pack it smelled like cherries in an almost bad way so I thought I wouldn't like it but after brewing I tasted more of the rose than the cherry. Sweetening it brought the cheery to the front but for me it tasted like I dropped a cherry lifesaver in my oolong tea.

CommuniTea 2/20/23 Smelled wonderful in the bag and poured into the cup looking all tasty. But alas, cherry and I do not dance well. I was hopeful for the nutty fruit blend but they were lost in the cherry. This one is not for me.

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I noticed strong, sweet aromas of cherry and almonds. I steeped the tea for about 3 minutes. The cherry flavor is very dominant, but I could still taste notes of almond. I couldn't detect the cinnamon though. The oolong provides a nice base to the tea as well. Overall, a nice cup of tea!

Not terrible... but far from a favorite. The flavors are underwhelming and don't play together very well, instead just obscuring the oolong flavor in a muddle. High hopes, but not quite a winner!

I wanted to like this tea. I think if the wild cherry flavor was removed it would have absolutely delicious. The tartness overpowered the other delicate flavors.
I did enjoy it more once it was chilled, but it's still winter and I want hot tea ☕

As someone who doesn’t typically drink dessert teas, I was pleasantly surprised by this blend!

The dry tea smells strongly of cherry (almost like a cherry lollipop), and smells more woody and complex when brewed on account of the oolong and marzipan.

I found that the cherry flavor was nicely mellow, but still discernible, in the final brew. I didn’t taste much of the marzipan, personally, but was overall nicely surprised by this tea.

This is my first time doing the CommuniTEA box, and all month, I was looking forward to this tea the most. It’s not quite as amazing as I’d hoped, but it’s pretty good.

Dry, this had major cherry pie vibes. The cinnamon threw me off a bit, but it wound up being okay.

Steeped, I’m getting lots and lots and lots of cherry. Not a lot of almond. I think this would be great if the cherry were dialed back a bit.

Really good combination of almonds and cherries. There is no tartness and I am not tasting the rose petals. Nice cup of tea.

Ore cherry than almond, but there is actually a flavor of marzipan here, which I find impressive. This is a pretty delicious tea without any additives. The smell is definitely medicinal, so I’m glad that didn’t carry over into the actual brew

In the bag: Finely chopped brown and black leaves form our base. Several healthy-sized cherry pieces and rose hips bring a deep red to the palette. Scattered bits of cinnamon bark as well. A few apple pieces.

On the nose (pre-steep): Sugar and cherry are center stage. It's like taking a whiff from deep in a bag of candied cherries. Hints of marzipan as well.

On the nose (post-steep): Cherry and almond are in balance as the main flavors. As with most sweet-smelling teas, some of the sugar has washed out with the steep.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Cherry and almond continue to pull back as I move through each step. Now they're quite restrained, leaving room for notes of oolong to show.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): Cherry and almond have regained some of their lost ground.

Opinion: A pleasant but odd blend. Cherry and almond are strange bedfellows without any other significant flavors in the mix, such as pie crust. Each of the duo has a tasty flavor. But I would rather just have a cherry or almond paired with something more complementary.

Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 195 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.

Update 2/20/23: I believe this tea has been reformulated since I first tried it. Though it did not seem as intensely medicinal this time, it still fell flat for me. It may be more balanced flavor-wise, but those flavors seem somewhat weak as does the tea itself. Maybe it's my brewing approach as I brew at 190F out of respect for the oolong, but this tea just continues to underwhelm me.

The aroma from this tea is promising and pleasant. It reminds me of a cherry dessert (pie or cobbler, maybe?) laced with almond extract. Unfortunately, the taste does not live up to that smell. And I tried a couple times, since I was blessed with the free sample in my last order. My first attempt tasted strongly of medicinal cherry flavoring with little else coming through, and certainly not the almond the aroma of the leaves seemed to promise. Another attempt with a significantly longer steep time (oops!) resulted in a more tea-forward cup, but still, I found that other flavors were lost. In both cases I found the tea unbalanced, failing to deliver what its name suggests.

Update from my last review, which may or may not have been the “old” cherry flavor. I’m upgrading my review from 3 stars to 4. I used rock sugar and more water and steeped for 3 minutes rather than 4. I found the taste of this tea to be quite good. Not good enough for me to buy but a very nice cherry and almond flavored tea.
Previous review: I actually like cherry flavored cough drops, but I don’t think the taste belongs in this tea. Perhaps it would work in an herbal wellness tea blend. I steeped for 4 minutes at 200 degrees and added a really small amount of agave, trying to bring out the flavors just a bit. It is just not my cup of tea.
