Interesting and complex flavor, refreshing. Most important, Loved by my granddaughter.
Bold, earthy flavors of berries and herbs; a grounding tea with a complex character.

It's a distinct flavor - strong with a bitterness to the sage. Try a sample first - but I found it delicious iced, straight, or latteed.
When warm, this tea is sage forward with blackberry notes hitting in the back. As it cools, the blackberry comes to the front more. It was a lovely cup of tea!
This is like a 4.25. Nice blackberry zing with some addition spice. Nice change of pace tea.
Blackberry flavor really not present at all, and I couldn't really taste the oolong either. Tried this both hot and cold a few times and it only tasted like sage.
This review is going to sound negative, but it really isn't. If you like earthy teas, this is probably perfect for you. To me, it tasted like they just cut a whole branch (branch, leaves, berry) off a blackberry bush and chopped it up to make this blend. The berry flavor was very subtle, with the sage giving it the earthy tones. I will use the whole sample and would drink it if it was offered to me, but I wouldn't seek this tea out.
Loved the blackberry smell and taste of this sage oolong tea. Its not overpowering, but you can't taste sage due to it. Which is fine by me!!
One of my mom's favorites. I include this in every gift basket of tea that I send to a new to tea person. So far, no one has not liked it. now I get actually requests for it. It's pretty good. Update, I notice that originally I called it pretty good, the more of it I drink, the more it's changed to 'really good'. Just got a grandson hooked on it too. Still ordering and still good. Still asked for when I have visitors
My new favorite tea! The black berry sage complement each other nicely!
My all time favorite! Perfect blend of spices! Sweet and savory at once.
This one has a nice flavor. Not too bitter. Very nice hot or cold.
Wasn't sure what it would be. I got enough that when I brew it I now make a gallon and sip all day
This tea reminds me of an herbal berry tea that literally made me fall in love with tea. Definitely a new favorite!
Excellent both hot and iced. I make cups hot and then put them in bottles in the fridge, and they're a wonderful fruity and flavorful pick-me-up on a hot day. Highly recommend!
This has become one of my favorite morning teas. It's unusual but really grows on you. Sage is also supposed to be good for high cholesterol. I do not sweeten but would probably begood that way.
I loved this tea! It’s perfect iced, it’s so good!
Lovely tea with a unique aroma. I don’t think it tastes much of blackberry but it’s got a lovely clean taste in my opinion
This is our go to flavor from Adagio. The flavor notes are perfect & aren’t too overwhelming.
Using a shorter brew time and an infusion option that doesn't leave bits at the bottom of the cup (I used an Adagio paper tea bag) goes a long way to balancing the flavor profile in this one. When I brewed it at 4 minutes with a mesh tea ball, I ended up with very brief fruit notes and a strong sagey finish that totally dominated.
So I cold brewed this as my first interaction beyond enjoying the scent on opening the sample bag. It's a nice, strong scent with lots of potential. One night later and now I'm enjoying it iced for lunch and I can say this was a worthy investment. It's a solid oolong that I expect from Adagio (as the peach oolong is one of my favorites) with a really strong but not overwhelming flavor profile. And cold brewing it gives it a nice, smooth finish. Yet another solid flavor from one of my favorite tea companies! and I will be coming back for more.
I had a difficult time getting much of the blackberry and sage flavor. I've had mixed experiences with Adagio's oolongs and wasn't really able to appreciate the oolong base.
This is the perfect blend of sweet berry with peppery sage that is great for those cloudy overcast mornings where you want a kick of caffeine.
This is an excellent tea, very soothing with great mild taste
I deeply enjoyed the note of sage in this blend. it rounds out the fruity blackberry with delicate earth complimented perfectly by the oolong.
Updating as I was able to cold brew this - Money! Smooth, refreshing, yum!
19 April 2022 - I purchased this to cold brew but since it's snowing in April? I tried it hot. This tea intrigued me quite a bit. I'm a sage fan but I've never had it in tea. Very enjoyable! Sage forward when hot with some berry added in as it cooled. Tried it both at 195 and 212 and neither were bitter. Looking forward to trying it as a cold brew too!
I brewed my Blackberry Sage Oolong with some extra raspberry leaves and a little manuka honey. At 1st glance, this tea looked WEIRD. And I was nervous because the raspberry leaves and raspberry flavors do not go well in black teas, in my opinion, but the beauty of oolongs is that they're not as bitter as other black teas. This tea is very fragrant, took the sweetness of the honey very well, and was very enjoyable! I would highly recommend!
Lovely scent and flavor, can get bitter if overbrewed, but not unusually so
The sage was nice, but the tart flavor of the blackberry was not my favorite combination.
Far too must sage for my taste. I couldn’t pick out any other flavor from it unfortunately.
Lovely oolong tea! It has a savory palate that really hits the spot.
I adore this and rebuy often. It’s got a wonderful earthy flavor with a hint of berry which is my perfect blend
Absolutely wonderful! I often mix this with coconut tea and the flavors are outstanding
This tea evokes some of my favorite memories of the southwest, particularly New Mexico. While indulging in the flavors of the berries and sage so many memories came to me from my time there. I just enjoyed 3 cups of this tea. It is my new favorite (and I have many)!!
The more savory sage flavor is really nice - I'm glad I tried it!
on a cold day after work this is my go to relaxer ♥️♥️
Complex. My taste buds do a dance and aren’t quite sure where to land. The sage is too strong. It reminds me of country sausage.
Fruity and calming, the texture is smooth and relaxing and it's one of my favorite oolongs so far :)
This was not a fave. The smell was a bit fake (much like the blackberry black tea). And the sip left an aftertaste that wasn't bright berry or smooth oolong. I liked the sage note but there wasn't enough to back it up for me to enjoy this blend.
I have been looking for a replacement for a citrus lavender sage herbal blend that no longer exists and thought i would give this a try. . . very berry forward. Not enough sage notes or nearly enough of something to round it out for my personal preferance... Even with honey!
Love this tea blackberry and Sage go well together, great job
From the smell to the taste, this one is a winner. It’s on repeat in our house this spring.
The sweetness of the blackberry pairs well with the savory flavor of the sage. Each sip is full of flavor, and I really enjoy this hot first thing in the morning.
I have never tried sage tea and now I know why. It is not for me and I can hardly taste the blackberry.
Love this tea! I did find I needed to add honey or sugar (or any other sweetener) to bring the berry flavor a bit more forward (the sage came out a bit strong for my taste, at first), but once I did that, this quickly became one of my favorite teas. Looking forward to trying it iced once things warm up outside!
This tea is a show stopper. My friend and I did a tea tasting night where we sampled each others collection and the Blackberry sage oolong was everyone's favorite. It's different, there's an earthiness from the sage and that seems to really make the berries prevelant on the front of the sip. Hands down one of my all time favorites.
This is a really lovely, interesting tea. It tastes strongly of sage, so don't order this if sage isn't your thing. But if it is, you'll like it a lot!
Blackberry Sage Oolong has a nice balance of sweet and tiniest hint of spice. Greatly enjoyed!
Least favorite of the 3 oolong varieties I've tried from Adagio... but in a pinch, I'd drink this one while awaiting a new shipment of tea.
I would never have thought to combine these two flavors, but the result is heavenly. The blackberry flavor is front and center with the sage coming at the end as an earthy undertone. I will definitely be getting more of this!
Very fruity almost doesn't need the oolong. I'm not sure the sage is doing anything but it is a unique spin on the original
