A pleasant tea to have! The almond flavor compliments the oolong tea nicely, and I enjoyed it with a bit of cream and sugar.
Savory almond with Taiwan oolong tea. Smooth, nutty aroma, full and rounded body, sweet marzipan flavor.

A pleasant tea to have! The almond flavor compliments the oolong tea nicely, and I enjoyed it with a bit of cream and sugar.
Not as good as yesterday's tasting, but a very nice blend for an oolong tea. I like the almond undertones. They marry happily with the oolong flavour.
In the bag, strong marzipan almond smell. Once brewed ,it mostly tastes like oolong. Hot, the almond is very mild and as it cools it fades away, and is very very mild. nice cup of tea, but the almond flavor isn't as strong as it smells in the bag.
Loved the subtle almond flavor and the smoothness of the oolong. I enjoyed this cup of tea very much.
Enjoying the smell and taste of marzipan with this oolong. It's a nice, smooth tea that really does smell like marzipan and tastes of almond. While not my favorite, it would be really nice with a biscuit and a book. Nice and smooth and friendly is the almond oolong.
This is delicious! It is a smooth, creamy, amaretto-like almond flavor in a mildly vegetal oolong.
Dry leaves have a strong amaretto almond scent. The first brew was strong of a faux almond paste but subsequent infusions were more balanced and lovely. I enjoyed this blend very much.
very good Oolong tea. Oolong is one of my favorites and this one didn't disappoint.
This tea is absolutely delicious! It's become one of my favorites. Tastes just like amaretto. It's naturally sweet on it's own, but adding a little cream and sugar makes it a wonderful dessert tea.
This tea smelled wonderful in the packet and in the cup. After a steep of 212 for 3 min. It did not disappoint. Oolong is marvelous and almond flavor is great. I tend to resteep until too weak to enjoy ( for water consumption and for experimentation on new teas. I found that I lost the almond on second steep but still quite enjoyable. Third steep was too weak to really enjoy so put in refrig to cool and drink as flavored water later.
Wonderful tea whose taste got even better as it sat. I used two tsp of rock sugar (I have a bit of a sweet tooth), which did nothing to mask, but rather enhanced the flavor. This tea made me think of amaretto cookies. :)
A lovely oolong tea! The almond flavoring blends nicely with the oolong, neither over powering the other.
This tea was better than I imagined. I have had almond flavoring in some things that tasted pretty fake. This tea was wonderful! I did brew at 180 for 4 mins .
This is the best almond tasting tea of Adagio's regular teas so far! I would buy a bag, but maybe in the winter time.
Always one of my favorites! Like marzipan in a cup but with that wonderful oolong taste
Enjoying along with the CommuniTEA: Strong sweet almond/marzipan fragrance from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F, I notice more subtle almond scents along with slightly funky oxidized oolong. When I take a sip, the Oolong tea is more pronounced with earthy tones and a strong sweet almond flavoring finish. As it cools, the almond becomes more prominent. The earthiness balances out the sweet almond quite well in my cup.
This is a tea I had to have a few times and tinker with to learn to love. The first time I tried it I was thrown by the cloying almond scent from the packet. The second time I was like, “hmm, maybe there is something here to love.”. The third time I added honey and BAM! it all came together. This one needs sweetener and then it transforms into a dessert worthy treat. I do think the almond flavoring (like the cherry, which I can’t stand) can be divisive so it will come down to whether you are feeling that or not. But for me, quoting atrociously from Dr. Strangelove, I learned to stop worrying and love the almond! Happy Sipping!
Good tea, I didn't rate a five star because of the after taste. The smoky taste is giving me a hint of soapy taste.
This is lovely!! Love oolong, love almond, and they go together well.
I'm so excited this tea is in the CommuniTEA! I bought a big ol' bag of it in the store a couple of years ago so I haven't been able to review it, but it's a mainstay in my collection. I love oolongs and I love all things almond, so an almond oolong is a little slice of paradise for me.
This oolong brews up nice and smooth. The almond flavor isn't too overwhelming, which I appreciated. I drank it straight, but I think it would be good with some added sweetness and/or milk.
Wonderful candied almond flavors really shine in this one. Good with milk or by itself. I always add a bit of sweetener.
The oolong is good & almond flavoring is just right. The only thing missing is some almond pieces.
I absolutely love this tea and it's a staple in my cabinet. Its almond essence isn't overpowering but light and fragrant. I really enjoy sweetening with honey and adding a dot of vegan cream. So tasty.
First of all: WOW the smell that came out of this tea when I got it was unbelievable. It was incredibly pungent and smelled like medicine that persisted for an extremely long time after first opening. After a while the medicine smell started to fade and it smelled a bit more naturally like almonds, but it never fully went away. It tastes alright though, and I liked using it as a mixer with other sweet flavors like gingerbread and cinnamon spice.
Very much amaretto-marzipan-maraschino instead of, say, toasted almond. Not so strong as to be obnoxious, but I would not classify this as a nut flavor.
A decent tea, not overwhelmingly almond flavored.
First I loved the smell of this tea. I could not stop smelling it! Drinking it was just as awesome!! It's not too sweet and I am really getting that almond flavor. It makes me want a nice biscotti!
If you are looking for a strong almond flavor, this tea is not for you, but if you want a smooth, nice oolong with a mild almond flavor, then you have found the right tea. Absolutely delicious.
I wanted to try this as I was curious, though I am more of a fruity tea drinker. It was pretty good. I enjoyed it a bit more with just a little milk and honey.
I love the nutty flavor of this tea. I love having this on colder mornings. The nutty flavor is comforting.
Very nice oolong. Smooth with a hint of almond. Perfect all on its own or great in a blend. This one can be good cold but hot is where it really shines.
Maybe oolong just isn't my thing. All I know is that a cup of this tea tasted like charred wood with a little almond flavoring. Gruesome. I always steep for the minimum time suggested too. Maybe the water was too hot??? When I can get up the courage, I'll give this sample one more try.
UPDATE: This flavor isn't awful as I initially judged it. I've had some good tastings too-- mostly in self-mixed blends including this oolong. However, I do feel the almond flavor comes through inconsistently. For that reason, I prefer the Almond black tea.
You can really taste the artificial flavor is this and it tastes more like chocolate than almond. Its not dreadful, but not special if you ask me.
I loved this so much that I went back for more. Smooth buttery mouth feel. No astringency.
This is the best tasting tea I’ve ever had! Very different than anything I’ve tried before. The almond flavor really comes through beautifully.
I wasn't sure what to expect but this one has a sweet almond flavor to it, very enjoyable.
Compared to Genmai Cha, this is a far milder nut flavoring to the oolong. It's a very pleasant cup that's not my hands down favorite but I'm glad to have on hand nevertheless.
I recently ordered a bunch of different samples to try and this was my favorite. It has a very sweet, light taste with a strong almond flavor and no bitterness. While I enjoyed Adagio's almond black tea as well, I prefer the flavor of this almond oolong.
A lovely Oolong with a nice mellow almond flavor, great as a latte!
Smell of marzipan hits you strong when you open the package, and, while I do love marzipan, the taste doesn't quite match the strength of the smell. That ends up being a great think in my mind as the almond/marzipan taste complements the oolong tea and isn't overpowering
I'm not a big fan of this tea. The almond flavor is too strong for me. I was expecting it to be almondy like the nut but it's more of a sweet marzipan type flavor. It's definitely better to me with milk and sugar than plain
I love the aroma of this tea. I have to watch my cup otherwise my son will steal it.
This is a okay oolong but it has a weird after taste, better with milk but I wouldn't normally ever do.
I'd make it for the smell alone! Mellow almond smell (like an almond liqueur). I almost didn't buy it because I don't really care for oolong, but this tea tastes like mild and blends well with the almond.
Good oolong tea with a nice almond flavor. I enjoyed this without cream or sweetener.
I really enjoy the almond in this. It's a nice relaxing tea.
I love things that taste like Almond and this teas does not disappoint.
It’s a very mild flavor. I could definitely taste the almond with a buttery smooth undertone
Nice light notes of sweet almond. I tried it on a sample and really appreciated its flavor. Sometimes I substitute this tea for dessert.
