After brewing I find the aroma a little off from the taste but the taste is a nice almond with just the lightest hint of sweetness. I think this would be a great tea for blending. I can't say that this is a tea that I would think to steep regularly though.

This was pleasant but didn’t wow me like some of the others teas so far. I did enjoy the nuttiness thought

My absolute favorite of any Adagio tea. It's smooth, gentle, and comforting unlike any other I've enjoyed.
It has the traditional nutty notes of almond, mixed with the traditional gentleness of oolong. It can be as easily paired with something sweet just as well as something savory. A perfect 10/10 in my book.

Strong almond flavor like the almond black tea, but this one has a mild, buttery oolong aftertaste. Yummy winter tea!

I figured almond in oolong would be a no-brainer, adding that distinctive nutty sweetness. But in this tea, the nutty side of the almond is emphasized over the unique sweetness of this particular nut, so it ends up more on the savory side. It's still good, but it didn't hit quite with the full almond experience I was hoping for.

I like the hint of almond. It is a milder tea, and quite nice when you want an afternoon tea.

This is a nice nutty oolong tea. I enjoyed this a lot. @adagioteas

Smells of sweet marzipan upon brewing. The almond flavor is pretty strong, but the tea flavor gets lost with milk and sugar. I recommend blending with a strong tea if you want to add in cream and sugar. By itself, it is a little bitter, still so with just sugar.

I love this tea! Smells amazing. Its slightly sweet, natural almond flavor pairs perfectly with a splash of half & half, tastes like a treat. I prefer this over the almond flavored black tea for its fuller body and depth of flavor.

This is my favorite tea to drink with desserts! It goes so well with chocloate!

Among the more sweeter teas that I have indulged in, good for a bit of a sweet tooth that is not fruity.

Decent black tea, although a bit heavy on the artificial taste from the flavoring for me.

I love the nutty flavor of this tea, especially with a little vanilla oat creamer. It's a perfect tea for both the fall and winter seasons. It definitely beats out a chestnut praline latte!

This is a wonderful tea! A beautiful cascade of flavors going on here. The almond really brings out the richness and body in oolong. These two are an ideal combination especially right now and the colder weather is kicking in a very delightful cozy cup of tea. I added just a tiny bit of honey to mine but I’m sure whatever way you prefer to drink this it will taste good no matter what.

The oolong is delicious; the almond flavoring doesn't seem to add anything except for odor.

I wasn’t much of a flavored drink person aside from the rare iced coffee before trying this, but a friend sent me this and some other samples as a gift and I absolutely fell in love with it. I actually struggle sometimes with tasting the flavor of other teas, but the almond flavor is pretty present, yet still comfortably mild here! It pairs easily (and really well) with sugar, or cream, or a bit of honey, which is my personal favorite thing to add to this. I heartily recommend this as a good introductory tea, either for yourself or a friend; you won’t regret the sweet almond flavor when you first open up the fresh package! I will always be buying more bags of this <3

Decent oolong. I like the clean taste along with the almond flavors. I drink this mostly blended with other things for a more hearty tea, but this is a nice light tea as well.

Not bad. I typically find Adagio's almond teas underwhelming; something about the almond flavoring tastes slightly off, and I wonder if adding almond pieces would improve the flavor. That being said, I still enjoy this oolong.

Dry tea smells heavily of almonds. Once brewed, the resulting cup is a medium brown with a strong almond scent. When hot, the almond dominates. When warm, some of malt of the oolong tea mixes with the almond with a slight sweetness. This is a simple but clean almond-flavored tea, and the oolong is a good match to carry the flavor, smooth and not overwhelming. If you are a fan of almonds, this is a great tea to grab. Brewed at 200 for 3 minutes.

This isn't my favorite flavor but it is exactly as advertised. The nuttiness is quite sweet but unmistakably almond.

While not a favorite, this tea was good enough to brew twice even without a sweetener.

Today's CommuniTea packet is almond oolong. In the packet, the scent is a little overpowering, and it's still a little strong when you smell it in your cup, but when you taste the tea, the oolong is smooth and the almond blends nicely with it. A nice nutty russet-colored flavored tea. Steeped in 12 ounces of 195 degree water for 3 minutes.

Very strong almond aroma in the dry leaves. I steeped 2g/8oz water at 190F for 3 minutes. The taste was smooth and nutty. Adding a little sweetener resulted in an almond cookie flavor. The second steep was good, but not as flavorful.

There's such a rich almond flavour in this tea! It tastes pretty good cold too. You'll definitely like this if you like almond flavour.
(Though I wouldn't recommend doing multiple steeps with this one. Compared to the first cup, the second cup lost a lot of the flavour and was pretty bland.)

I like almond teas but this one just didn't hit me in that place almonds always do. Bummer.

This smells quite medicinal in the pouch but is actually fine once you brew it. The first sip tasted almondy, but more like imitation almond, and the flavor was all in that first sip. It reheats well but it’s still just an okay tea. I wouldn’t have it again.

This was a well balanced tea. Brewed at 185 for 4 minutes pulled out plenty of almond flavor with a smooth finish. Not a hint of bitterness. Only thing missing were some almond horn cookies on my plate!

3 Oct 20 communiTEA review: Pleasant almond aromas were noted first off from my CommuniTEA packet this morning. Since this tea contained almond flavoring, I thought I would try to turn this into dessert tea. I added honey to get the marzipan experience, a honey/almond flour paste used in pastry and candy fillings. When hot, mild marzipan flavors were noted on top of woodsy and nutty oolong tastes. When warm, a very nice buttery mouthfeel and taste was noted making this a very nice sip, reminding me of a German marzipan pastry! I enjoyed this one a whole bunch! (4 mins @ 190ºF, 1/2 tsp honey)

CommuniTEA packet tasting, I was worried at the first whiff, but the almond taste ended up being more subtle and enhanced the oolong flavor. Happy sipping!

Oddly enough, I don't much care for almonds but I adore amaretto. The flavor of this oolong reminds me of amaretto, smooth, a touch sweet and delicious. Up side is that I can drink this one at work and not get funny looks!

This tasted too much like almond extract, and was overwhelming. I disliked it so much, that I threw away the sample sized pouch I purchased as part off the oolong sampler.

I really enjoyed this tea- the almond is smooth and delightful!

Nice tea but the dry aroma is way overpowering. It almost turned me off from this one. The leaves look like a darker Oolong which is where I like to hang. When brewed (4-5 min @ 212⁰ F) the almond flavour is actually quite well balanced.

I liked it - not too almondy, which I was worried about. Almond can be VERY overpowering but this kept it at a good level. The oolong tasted amazing as always.

The slightly sweet nuttiness of almond pairs wonderfully with the earthy nuttiness of oolong. Great tea!

I usually prefer black tea and tolerate oolongs. But in this tea the combination of oolong and almond was perfect! You can taste both components clearly and they complement each other well. This oolong is dark and strong enough to hold up to the strong almond flavor. The almond is reminiscent of almond extract, and with sugar added it tastes like marzipan. There is a slight bitterness when steeped at 212. Loved it!

I ordered this accidentally, but have tried it. The almond flavor is a bit strong, which means someone who's looking for that will be pleased. I drank it with a bit of cream and it was a nice dessert treat.
Updated review for 10/11-my tastes are changing, and I really enjoyed this blend. The almond flavor and oolong flavor both shared the spotlight. Delicious!

Part of the Communitea box. I've actually had my eye on this for a while, and was thinking about getting a sample next month. The smell of the almond is much stronger than the flavor. Upon opening the package, the oolong of almost an afterthought, and there was a strong scent similar to that of almond extract. After brewing, the almond extract scent was still there, albeit much less overpowering. Here, the roles switched; in terms of flavor it was mostly oolong, with a slight hint of almond. I usually drink oolong plain, but I added a bit of sugar to this one to get that dessert feel. Will definitely be getting this one again.

Best tea leaves aroma ever. Always the 'I'm a newbie' disclaimer; I'm just getting used to oolong, and that was the predominant tasting experience to me. That was lovely and smooth but I am not tasting that lovely almond aroma. Still delicious.

I love oolong and I love everything almond, but this tea has a chemical like taste that is very off-putting. Just meh, on this one.

Although I do very much like almonds, this tea was more of a miss than a hit, since I felt it had a more marzipan like intense flavour and not the subtlety of actual almonds. I Just found that this was a touch too much of a one note type of taste for me to appreciate it, perhaps I would enjoy it more as a part of a blend, so it can be slightly toned down.
