It tasted alright. The tea flavor was somewhat overpowering.
Savory almond with Taiwan oolong tea. Smooth, nutty aroma, full and rounded body, sweet marzipan flavor.

It tasted alright. The tea flavor was somewhat overpowering.
I found this tea after trying it in my favorite cafe that has since closed (no cafe has replaced it in quality in my area). I was worried when I first got it. The smell of the loose leaf is terrible (a sickening artificial smell). However once brewed, the flavor is nothing like the smell. The flavor is like almonds and marzipan, not too sweet. I add nothing to my tea so it's fantastic! It does wonders when working on the road (amount of caffeine is just right).
It smell like syrup in the bag when I first got it. Then I steeped the tea and it taste like hot water, there was no taste to it. I tried again and it had a hint of Almond and the bitterness of black tea. Maybe there is something I am doing wrong but I will try and try again.
Since I love the flavors of almond and coconut, I added a teaspoon of coconut extract to the pot after steeping. Perfect.
got this tea a while back when looking to try something 'different'. I'm generally a fan of almond so I decided to give this a try. It's quite yummy, but not something I'd drink regularly. Good for when you want a break from your favorite blends!
Initially, I didn't know what to expect the minute I gave my bag a whiff (the loose leaf smells like medicine!) However, once steeped, it does have a distinctive flavor profile, and a very nice one, too!
I received a sample of this with my order. I've been trying to branch out and I've been wanting to get into oolongs for a while. This tea smells extremely sweet in the bag, and the sweetness smell only mellows out a little when brewed. This concerned me slightly since I'm not a huge fan of very sweet teas, but the sweetness is not unbearable. It's sweeter than I'm used to, but I like the nuttiness so I'll just have to get used to the sweetness. I'm not sure that I would drink this all the time, but it's nice to have around for when I want something different. I drank one cup plain (steeped as the notes say) and left the rest brewing. I drank the second cup with a tiny bit of milk. The longer steep time seems to bring out the oolong base more, and the milk makes the almond flavor pop.
tasty, nice balance of almond flavor and oolong. i love it with a little milk and honey.
If you're a fan of almonds then you should enjoy this. I thought it was too much almond flavor, and it left a bit of an aftertaste, even with honey and milk added.
im not sure if i made it correctly, but it was still yummy!
This tea was ok but not a favorite! May taste better hot than cold!
I love this tea! It smells and taste like Stella Dora cookies. On second thought it might be a good idea to add it as a tea cookie when drinking this tea.
This tea is defiantly one of my favorites. It has a very rich smooth almond taste that isn't overpowering. This is a tea i will definatly come back to again and again
I love the subtlety of this tea, great with just a pinch of sugar!
I loved this tea both hot and iced. It blends well with the chocolate tea, too.
Almond complements oolong very well! Tastes better than the black tea version.
This is my favorite tea to have with desert. It tastes like I'm drinking a biscotti. It is So good. I add a little vanilla almond milk sometimes to make it rich and creamy and sweeten it a bit. I really just like this tea. 1 TBSP for two cups on this one.
Smooth, great almond flavor for almond fans. I'm in my summer tea mode so I'll try this again as it get cooler.
This smells better than it tastes, but still tastes really good.
very tasty. the smell out of the bag is overpowering but awesome, the taste isn't as strong, just strong enough to complement the tea.
i used 2 rounded tsp per cup, with cold water brought juust to bubbling at 3min
One of my favorite oolongs, pleasant aroma and perfect sweet flavor not over. You would not go wrong with this one, weather new to oolongs or not. Definitely a must have! One of my favorite always make sure I have a supply in the house
Everything from the smell of this tea, to the taste was delicious! And I can't believe the sample was free! I will adding almond oolong to my orders in the future!
Naturally sweet and fragrant, this tea reminds me of my grandma's angel food cake! An amber cup leaves you wanting more. The only thing is the almond flavor lasts for the first infusion. After the second infusion all you get is oolong, which isn't a bad thing.
I like this almond tea almost as much as the regular black tea version. This is a much lighter tea and the almond flavor is not as strong.
This tea is great tasting either hot or in room temperature. With a few drops of Stevia extract, you have a great tasting, satisfying cup of tea. I would recommend this tea to anyone. I plan to reorder all the time.
A decent oolong with a subtle almond aftertaste. It seems almost like something is lacking. I added rock sugar and it amped up the flavors a bit, maybe next time I'll try it with a drop of almond milk!
Nice nutty flavor, great with mixing for other teas.
This goes great with a little bit of almond milk (if you enjoy your tea creamier).
Smooth, luxurious, delicious, and very satisfying hot or cold. however, unlike most tea, it is better brewed more strongly when served hot than cold. Delicious and healthier alternative to morning Joe.
I really liked this tea. It was my first oolong so I didn't really know what to expect. I was greeted with a pleasant tea :)
I loved this. Hot and iced, water down. Very refreshing. The almond taste authentic and the oolong is light.
i prefer to add this as a flavor to whatever other tea i think it might suite. After a while it grew to my liking. However i still prefer the straight tea leaf with no flavors like almond or fruit.
I am so pleased with this tasty tea. The scent and taste are delicious and this is one of my favorites that I just adore! The almond is not artificial and does leaves a nice aftertaste to. Yum
I got the almond oolong as a sample. When I opened the pouch, I was greeted with a scent similar to almond cookies. The tea itself has a nice mellow flavor.
Love it! Light almond taste, slightly sweet just the perfect balance
OMG!! I never say that! This is amazing, tastes like a almond biscotti, I drank the sample pack in one day actually within the 1st hour. Mix some almond milk in there for a english style tea! Ordering a big bag now!
Oolong can go from awesome to bitter in seconds. I either crossed that line, or this was just not my favorite oolong. I think the almond was too artificial for my tastes as well. Overall, I'm glad this was a sample.
This was not my favorite oolong from Adagio. It has a bit of a chemical smell and flavor -- not a lovely round almond, but almost a tinny taste. I might have gotten a bad batch, but I'd recommend going with one of the flavored black teas for a toasty/creamy flavor instead.
Verys tasty cup, but I brewed it a bit long so it was a bit on the bitter side . I do wish the almond shown through a bit more ..
I like this one as a nice after dinner tea. it has a nice rounded flavor very good with a sweet dessert.
I love this one. It has a great taste that is not over powering. I used this one to introduce poeple to your teas. It may be my favorite.
I mainly use this to mix into more floral teas. A little goes a long way in that the almond flavor is strong but thankfully not cloying or too sweet. The oolong provides a nice subtle base too compared to that of a black tea.
Mildly sweet tasting oolong. The tea smells like amaretto when you open it. This is a nice light tea and the almond gives it a mild sweet aftertaste without being too sweet. Also great mixed with other teas.
Very strong almond notes while steeping. Mild almond flavor in the cup. All in all a good tea. Balanced.
delicious, refreshing, and slightly sweet and smoky. LOVE this tea!
I was very impressed with this tea! I'm not a big fan of flavored teas, since they can be overpowering and cloying, like kids' juice drinks. This one, however, is delicious and soothing. Great tea flavor with a hint of sweetness that doesn't wear out your taste buds. The almond flavoring smells strong at first, but mellows with brewing. It's not for those that love strong, bitter flavors.
This tea reminds me of those Chinese almond cookies that I used to get with Mom when we went to eat Chinese food. A bit of sugar and this tea is wonderful. I ran out before I got to try it with a bit of cream, but I'm buying more today and will make it a point to try it this time.
Loved both the smell and the taste of this tea, tried a sample and might order this one in a bigger size in the future!
The smell os strong when you open the bag, the taste is nice but might be a little heavy for anyone who likes super light flavors.
really good flavor, was able to use tea for for two brewings
