I found this to be vegatal and slightly sweet on taste. However, not impressive enough to be out of the ordinary. For a more detailed review follow this link...

Green oolong tea from Ali Shan, one of Taiwan's most famous tea growing areas. Beautiful high mountain oolongs come from its misty peaks. Warm sugar and deeply layered floral aromas, with a melting, creamy mouthfeel. Mellow and light-bodied.

Didn't like this tea at all. Something about it, don't know what exactly, just threw me off.
this tea was all right. maybe it was because I had just drank a cup of my favorite tea, casa blanka, or maybe it was because I'm not a giant oolong fan. its a very good social tea though. not too strong.
My first few tastings of the Ali Shan didn't really impress me, but after a little while I was blown away by how subtley intricate the tastes in this brew are. While I'm usually a fan of lighter and much more ethereal flavors, the Ali Shan's honey color and natural sweetness quickly moved it to the top of my list.
Not much notable about this tea. Doesn't stand out in my memory.
Quite a unique flavor, may be resteeped many times. Only problem is the price.
I wasn't thrilled with this Oolong, I have a better preference with a Oriental Beauty like Oolong 8, or even Wuyi Ensemble. I can see how this tea can appeal with others though, it's between ok and good, but not great.
Very special. Would drink this on special days as its a bit pricey. Very smooth
Nice light taste with honey finish. If you put sugar in your tea this one doesn't need as much sugar as you would normally use.
This is a good tea but not nearly so great as other oolongs offered here (some of which are absolutely outstanding). But this is not a bad tea by any means, either. The mouth taste when drinking is less full-bodied and less full of the traditional oolong flavor. However, the aftertaste which I find begins to develop within about 15-20 seconds is a delightful surprise I've never experienced in the past.
This is a great tea. The leaves open up huge and gorgeous. This is probably the prettiest non-blooming tea I've seen. The liquor is light with a very faint oolong nuttiness and a honeyed finish. One of the nicest teas I've had from Adagio, and definitely worth the price.
Light, flavorful, mostly jasmine notes. Very refreshing; because the flavors is delicate, not overbearing, I can keep re-steeping it and drink it all day. Have re-steeped up to six times with success.
Very great oolong and good resteeping ability. Large balls of tea, with great aroma.
This tea is pricy, but so is a Ferrari. As a matter of fact I feel like someone with a Ferrari is sipping Ali Shan. Color is somewhat light which initially worried me, however, looks were deceiving. The best part is the honey flavor that lingers on the pallet. Take these five stars as but a modest gift to your greatness. Praise be to Ali Shan.
I was actually disappointed in this one. I adore the oolong #18 and was expecting something more sweet and fruity like that. I didn't dislike this, but it will go in the group of ones I mix because it just didn't appeal to me much.
This one doesn't taste bad but I prefer tea with a little more flavor.
Great consistent honey flavor.
Lingering peach/apricot aroma.
Easily made 6 infusions.
I couldn't really distinguish this from a modestly good green tea. Not worth the price.
This is a good oolong with a reasonable price I liked it, my friend however does not care for it to much.
Nice flavors w/ nice light sweetness. One of my current favorites w/ Ooooh darjeeling but both are a bit pricey. Really good 2nd and 3rd steeps too.
A very light flowery brew. One of my favorite oolongs.
This was an excellent tea. A must try. Light bodied and softly sweet with an underlying complexity.
Not all that its cracked up to be i found this tea pretty affordable and decent for the price.
Wonderful. Ali Shan is a new favorite. I tried it because others with a similar palate told me it was great. It is.
I've bought from Adagio since they began and this oolong is not to be missed. Sweet and fruity, green but not vegetal.
I love it hot or cold... it's complexity shines thru better hot.
This tea is really something special! The refined taste and flavor fully justify its price. The second and third steep taste even better. I would certainly buy it again.
Another great Oolong from Adagio! This one is right up there with my favorite, Ti Kwan Yin. I'll have to steep them side by side one of these days to see which is the standout winner.
Somewhat earthy and even a little grainy -- a fairly complex and relatively heavy flavor for an oolong.
Wow now I understand why everyone enjoys oolong. My first experience with oolong tea. Will certainly order again.
1st Try -
A first smell after the first steep it's very earthy smelling. I think I oversteeped. The leaves expand quite a bit more than I first thought they would. Coloring is more of a white looking tea. Based on the first steep smell I was a little afraid of the taste BUT the first sip was totally unexpected!!! It's a soothing yet thirst quenching blend that is a bit sweet but flowery to taste. What a DELIGHT! I like it A LOT and A LOT MORE than I thought I would! Very, Very nice!
2nd Try/Steep -
Went for the suggested Resteep just to see what happened. Awesome! Certainly a Resteep worthy Loose Leaf! Excellent! Still an earthy/mossy aroma. Floral type taste. But also like a pure water type of refreshing!
3rd Try/Steep -
Onto the 3-steep now. Starting to smell like vegetables. Still a great cup! Kind of tasting a hint of frozen peas type of aftertaste. Interesting but good.
4th Try - Regular Steep
I think this one is officially on my list of favorite Adagio Teas and since Adagio has so many good ones it takes a lot to be on my list of TOP Adagios!
A nice tea blend. Will probably order this one again.
This is a lovely tea. Nice floral notes and a good body. I've had success using this for at least two steepings (adding a couple minutes the second time around).
I tried to like it. I wanted to like it. BUT...I don't. This tea smells musty, tastes sharp at first then turns super dry. It's almost like a dry white wine but without the promise of a little buzz.
Great sweet flavor. Smooth with no acidity or bitterness. Will definately pick up a larger tin next time.
My favorite Oolong so far. I don't have a lot of experience with them as yet, but found this one mellow and smooth; like a mix of my favorite characteristics of black and green tea.
This tea is intersting, and honestly quite unmemorable. Not bat, but not great.
I drink a lot of black and green teas and this is my first oolong. I am very impressed! I love experimenting with different brew times and quantities of this tea. A second steeping is just as interesting as the first!
I think my favorite method has been using a little tea and really letting it unfold in the cup. Enlightening!
This reminds me of a Japanese sencha tea. Do not use boiling water when brewing this or it will be harsh and bitter. Use steaming water around 180 degrees.
This is an excellent tea. I love paring it with different foods to better explore its complexity. A lastingly enjoyable cup.
I've had this variety before from another seller, but I think I like the Adagio version better. Very fresh and aromatic, with flowery and fruity flavors.
I really like this, espcially steeped and then chilled and served cold. I especially like this one after an intense work out or a hard day of yardwork.
Delicious, light, smooth. Enjoyable hot or cold. This is one of my top teas.
The first thing you'll notice is the leaves, the second is the smell. Both are excellent! You can resteep these leaves several times, especially if you do short steeps. The color of the liquor is great as it the taste and smell of the brewed tea.
Different, but good. I like robust flavor, and this is not too strong.
I liked all previous Oolongs that I tried, but I must admit those were just the flavored ones. I was not a big fan of this, perhaps I let it steep way too long. I was surprised that it wasn't classified as a green tea.
OMFG, this tea got me hooked on oolongs. Very rich and savory flavor. The little oolong buds smell awesome.
Very expensive, but worth it. It's one of those teas that you can kind of imagine chewing... If that made any sense...
I really enjoyed this tea! Expensive but worth it. One of the best oolongs that I've tried. I love the way the leaves unfold, they look like fresh picked leaves. They're so tender I've been tempted to eat them!
If only I could afford this as a regular tea! Very nice, complex character. Light oolong with green overtones.
Somewhat disappointing. I was expecting some kind of hyper flavored Ti Kuan Yin, I think. But this isn't bad. Very pleasing floral scent.
Delicious and aromatic! Originally I found it too vegital tasting. I achieved balance in bringing down the steeping time to 1:45-3 minutes and the temp to 190deg. Perfect! (for me).
