This matcha is great quality for the price! A whisk is an absolute must to get it well blended. I usually add just a small amount of sugar and milk as well.
Only the finest, young, shade-grown gyokuro tea leaves are used to create matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed and the leaves, now called tencha, are carefully ground in granite mills until they become the precious powder.

I live matcha! It’s very good. I encourage everyone to try this one.
Ah, this matcha. I've had crazy expensive, ceremonial grade, subpar stuff from the grocery store, Amazon impulse purchases (I know, I know), and I still come back to this after 10+ years of drinking tea. The color is so vibrant and it sifts like a dream. Even if you're putting it in a smoothie or using it in something other than with a matcha whisk and bowl, it still never gets gritty or sandy. The flavor is so concentrated, that a little bit truly goes a long way. My favorite Sunday morning ritual is to prepare a bowl for myself with my whisk...true bliss.
I'm new to this type of tea- I didn't know I'd need a whip- Good tea, however!
I love making matcha lattes for myself and my siblings. This matcha is very high quality with lovely earthy flavors.
Beautiful color, amazing flavor, works well with my almond milk or water. Perfect for green eyes!
I love this matcha, our whole family does. We drink it hot or cold, or blended into a smoothie. Add a little honey and almond milk, delicious!!
I love the light fresh flavor of this matcha. It’s a gorgeous, vibrant green and froths up very nicely when I use my bamboo whisk. The energy boost is very natural as well, and I don’t feel jittery like I do after drinking coffee. That’s very important, as I work with my hands. This is a new morning staple.
I am a big lover of vegetal greens (my #1 favorite being Adagio's Dragonwell, even among the fancier and more expensive Senchas) and matcha was not a surprising love to me. The boosted health benefits alone are enough for me to add it to my stash, but I also love the mild 'grassy' flavor and if I'm not in the mood for it, the taste is completely masked (but still very healthy!) mixed in smoothies.
Good quality matcha - makes a delicious cup when made properly!
I ordered their tea often. This reorder was $119. This company has changed a great deal since Covid. My package got lost and instead of refunding my money and or reshipping more tea to me they emailed me and said they need to investigate first. I’m a longtime and loyal customer so I mistakenly thought they would honor their product and FedEx me a new shipment while they get to the bottom of the missing package. They refused and kept sending me a form letter stating they will investigate the list shipment. They refused to call me bc they say due to Covid they don’t have telephone support anymore. I guess you can get Covid from the telephone now. I just called FedEx and as of yesterday they said a claim has not been filed from Adagio. This is why I suggested they should either give me my money back so I can reorder the matcha or send me a new shipment. They refused. It’s not fair for a customer to have to wait for them to do an investigation on a package that a customer never received. It could take weeks. I’ve never had such bad customer service from a company like this before. It’s a shame because they should look at my account. I’ve spent a lot of money with this company. Just since I’ve had their app I’ve spent $1,156.00 with adagio and to be treaded with such disrespect is shameful. I found a new company to deliver my Matcha, it’s called Matcha Sense. Supposed to be superior Matcha from Japan at the same cost as I’m paying Adagio. Call my credit card company to take off the charges and they did. To bad Adagio had to be so difficult to deal with.
I've been drinking matcha regularly for the past several years now and have tried several different brands. This is the one I've landed on as, for me, it takes the cake on taste, quality and value. I talked extensively with an Adagio employee about how and where their matcha is sourced and was able to gather that there are no heavy metal concerns in the region is it sourced from and, while it does not have an official USDA Certified Organic logo, all Adagio teas are organically grown on small, (in most cases) family-owned farms that Adagio works closely alongside. Considering you pay significantly more for products that are certified USDA Organic, if this is the same product just without the label, I'd say the value is terrific!
Very clean flavor with no bitterness. Highly recommend.
good everyday matcha, nothing crazy about flavor.
absolutely delicious! I've tried matcha from a few places and so far adagio has the best
Great tasting matcha amazing quality. Make sure to really whisk before adding more water
This was my first time tasting matcha that wasn't in a latte blend full of sugar. It was a little bitter for my taste when prepared at the recommended temperature on the package, so I'll be using slightly cooler water next time. Still, it was delicious with a splash of milk!
I love Adagio matcha. I ve ordered from elsewhere and was convinced it just wasn t for me. This matcha proved me wrong.
A good matcha. Very intense flavor on its own so I usually make it kind of weak
This is a great smooth Matcha. It is a great value.
I order matcha from several tea places. This one is good but is not my favorite. I find it to be more bitter and less smooth than I prefer for drinking as is. It’s a great addition to lattes and mixed into treats.
Not much variability in matcha flavor to comment on in my experience -- seems high quality, but not sure I could justify the higher price compared to other sources. I have noticed a metallic aftertaste that seems to get worse as the matcha gets older, so maybe go with the smaller size.
Great stuff. Straightforward. Great quality. Drinking it straight with very little water almost like a shot grows hair on your chest...lol.
This tea is super good!! I love matcha tea because it helps me with appetite control. Will definitely purchase again.
I really enjoy this matcha! It may not be the conventional way to drink it, but I take a few tablespoons of hot water and whisk in a heaping teaspoon of matcha until it's smooth. Then I add a touch of honey and top it off with ice and almond milk. Smooth and delicious! Will definitely be buying more!
Really good! Goes great with oatmilk and iced! Love it as an iced latte.
I love this match powder very much! I tried it today and it was lovely without any strong bitterness or aftertaste. I used around three scoops and just a little water and it wasn't strong so I'm afraid I'll be going through this quick but otherwise love the taste!
I love this for green tea lattes. It's perfect for making into green tea gummy bears and green tea cookies too.
Really high quality matcha - gave it as a gift recently and the recipient loved it!
I got this matcha for my boyfriend so that we don't have to leave the house for a mid-day pick me up and he loves it!
I was nervous to try Matcha especially since I prefer a cold drink during the day but the lady helping me at the store suggested putting it in lemonade. I tried it and it was amazing!!!
This is great with a large splash of milk and some sugar added. This is my first time having matcha and I will definitely be trying more. The only issue for me is that I end up with lumps of tea in my drink, but I think it is because I don't have the proper tools for making matcha yet.
Made it for the first time today! I love the color and ritual, might try a bit of sweetener next time.
For the price, this is a pretty decent matcha. There is definitely better quality matcha but for a much higher price. A wisk is needed to prepare properly
I've tried a lot of different brands of matcha and this is my favorite one. I like the earthiness of it, the vibrant green, and it's great as a latte with milk and honey but isn't so fancy that I can't put some in a green smoothie.
Earthy and fragrant. This matcha is amazing. Good amount of caffeine. Highly recommend.
This matcha is light and of good quality. I put two matcha spoons in my smoothie daily. I will definitely purchase again.
Tried in my smoothies and tasted great. Tried it hot as well. Steeped for the recommended time and although I did enjoy it, I liked in smoothie better.
Great Matcha! Gave up 40 year coffee habit. Wonderful taste!
I will master this eventually, but my beginner attempts aren't bad.
Best matcha I’ve had so far. Better than other tea places (i.e., DAVID’s Tea, don’t get their matcha, or Breakaway, which is very expensive, not bad but not mind-blowing). Be sure to get bamboo whisk. Sifter for this quality matcha is unnecessary.
I have been buying this matcha for quite a few years. A very good matcha at a very good price.
My very first Matcha ever. This gives me so much energy and a taste I enjoy.
I got a matcha bowl and whisk set for my matcha, and while I'm not as skilled as I want making the matcha, the tea is fantastic, even when I screw it up. I also really enjoy the hint of raspberry in their other flavor, but this one is fantastic.
I've never had Matcha tea so I did have to get used to the taste, but I really do like it. I bought a milk frother and I use that to prepare the tea.
Good quality drinking matcha. I add it to vegan milk for a latte.
This is a good tea. The only thing I don't like is how it clogs up the filter on the IngenuiTEA 2 when I am trying to pour it.
Slightly vegetal with both sweet and bitter elements just as matcha should be. My only problem is that the tin doesnt seal all that well.
I just wanted to try it, and now I love it. Hot or cold, it is a very good tea and good for your cholesterol too!
I use this matcha in smoothies, so I'm not getting the full benefit. However, it is very smooth.
