Matcha Customer Reviews

Only the finest, young, shade-grown gyokuro tea leaves are used to create matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed and the leaves, now called tencha, are carefully ground in granite mills until they become the precious powder.

★★★★★

It was a nice introduction to all the other matcha flavors that they have.

bad matcha.. try breakaway matcha https://www.breakawaymatcha.com/

★★★★★

Grassy matcha that dissolves easily and has a very clean, refreshing taste. Works great if you need a strong green tea flavor in recipes.

★★★★★

Really easy to use, nice vegetal flavor but not bitter.

★★★★★

Was very pleased with this product. Makes the start of my day begin by feeling refreshed.

★★★★★

This is some great matcha - rich green, smooth and with a bright, grassy, herby flavor. The powder separates well and does not clump

★★★★★

This ceremonial grade of matcha is excellent. I have tried several brands of matcha and Adagio is by far my favorite. The staff at the store is very knowledgable and can answer all your questions.

★★★★★

perfect matcha for my morning tea! great for a chilly morning.

This tea is wonderful. It is very smooth and has a calming effect.

★★★★☆

I have not experimented much with matcha, but it is not only great for tea, it is superfood. Matcha can be used for anything, ranging from ice cream to yogurt. The taste alone is grassy, if that taste appeals to you.

Love the refreshing feeling after drinking this tea!

★★★★★

I love matcha and especially love adagio, so when I won the highest bracket during Matcha Madness for a coupon, I knew I had to try this! I have never made matcha before, but I love that I can now make it instead of having to go to a coffee shop. Definitely a fun treat for special occasions to make between drinking regular tea!

★★★★★

The quality of the tea is awesome.
I like msteep for 1 minute. Perfect taste

Great tasting and a nice green color. Brews up dark.

Not sure if I like the flavor. Mix 1/4 teaspoon into my regular tea. Have it every day because of the health benefits. One tin lasts a long time.

★★★★★

So good, such clean caffeine, no gitters, about to go run!

★★★★★

Delicious and exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't ask for anything else!

★★★★☆

I like it but I'm taking a break from it due to a medical problem. Update: medical problem has nothing to do with the tea. I am back drinking it on occasion and I still really like it!

★★★★★

This is really good. Its the first time I've tried matcha, now in a huge fan.

★★★★★

Love this grassy blend of Matcha. Perfect for making a matcha 'latte' to rival the local coffee shop's.

★★★★☆

The health benefits outweigh the taste. You can feel it after drinking it regularly for a week.

★★★★☆

This was my first time every trying matcha. It s different that s for sure. It s strong, refreshing, and smooth at the same time. I think it would be good in a smoothy.

Adagio's Matcha doesn't disappoint. I have made it as a late and as a tea and both are phenomenal.

★★★★★

I have been looking for a green tea that is healthy and enjoyable . I do not have to look any further.

★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by this matcha. The color and quality were good and it is a good value for the price. I highly recommend it for a daily drinking matcha.

★★★★★

I bought this as a treat for myself. It has a smooth mouth feel, with just a touch of astringency. It's best prepared with a matcha whisk and bowl, as that's how to achieve the proper froth on top. If you don't want to splurge on the extra equipment, I recommend at least buying the whisk, and using a bowl you may already own.

★★★★★

Delicious Matcha! I use a handheld milk frother to mix the powder into some almond milk. It tastes delicious on its own with just milk - hot or cold! I do sometimes like adding honey to add a little bit of sweetness to it. Overall, I really recommend this!

★★★★☆

Very interesting type of tea. I like it mostly because it is so different.

★★★☆☆

Meh. Okay for smoothies but not really ceremonial grade.

Adagio's matcha is very good. I've had a few different (basic) brands before and theirs is nicer than the norm. Other brands fall apart if not drank fast and form more of a residue -- not this. It made a really delicious cup!

★★★★★

Love it. Great taste. Has that grassy flavor it should have. It is also at a great cost.

It was a little tricky figuring out the proper measurements and steeping temp but the experimentation paid off. It gives me more of a kick in the morning than any coffee I've had.

I tend to use this particular matcha in baking, but it makes a very good brewed tea as well. It's got a nice earthy flavor that mixes in with the naturally grassy flavors to make a cup that genuinely reminds me of warm spring days in the sun.

★★★★★

Excelente te! Un sabor y color muy bueno, es increíble la energía que me da cada día.

I have been putting a teaspoon in my breakfast smoothie every day for the past three years and have never felt healthier. I have tried different brands when traveling and found myself with an empty tin. I keep coming back to Adagio because it is the smoothest and most delicious.

★★★★★

My entire family loves this tea. It is wonderful to drink on it's own, but you can also make delicious desserts with it like matcha cake and homemade matcha ice cream!

★★★★★

Delicate, bright, comforting and quite the treat! I will definitely be purchasing again, and the sample is a great deal.

★★★★☆

The matcha tastes great! Honestly have nothing bad to say about it. As long as you have a bamboo matcha whisk it blends really nicely.

★★★★★

I order this for my mother every time she runs out. We initially had matcha on a tip to Japan and Adagio matcha is a very close match!

★★★★☆

Good! I'm not 100% sure I'm making this right, but this has got a great earthy, green flavor to it with just this HINT of sweetness.

★★★★★

First Sip -- Hmm, I don't know about this.
Second sip -- actually, this is quite tasty.
Third sip -- Yep. I'm ordering more of this. Right now.

I've tried matcha once before, but it was a cheap one and the taste was less than pleasing. THIS matcha though. Oh, yes. It's a thick, frothy green tea delight.

Also, the energy boost is intense. I'm used to the caffeine boost from green and black teas, and this knocks that out of the park. I can easily use this as a pre-workout drink and, indeed, will be doing that in lieu of alternative pre-workout powders.

★★★★☆

Matcha is a lot of fun to make, its more interactive than a cup of coffee or something. Good value for a matcha. Will buy again

I'm still learning how to make this into a good tea.

★★★★★

This matcha has a really nice fragrance and flavor, lightly sweet and a bit vegetal. The powder is very fine and has a nice silky texture, and the color is a beautiful, vibrant green. Awesome matcha!

★★★★★

This is the best tasting matcha I've found! I'm willing to pay a bit more for this adagio matcha even though I've found cheaper options because it's really good. Even so it's not super expensive (for matcha). I drink this nearly every day!

★★★☆☆

I've had some really good matcha and some terrible matcha, just was in between. I fairly good bright green with a nice taste.

★★★★★

I did a tea tasting for the first time with Matcha and enjoyed it so much I had to purchase my own set.

★★★★★

I love this for making both hot and iced matcha lattes using almond milk and honey. Have reordered and will order again.

Great quality for the price, tastes great plain, in a latte, as ice cream, etc. I honestly use it as a spice sometimes.

Very fine powder and excellent taste! This is a tea where less is more, and using a reduced temperature water makes all the difference in the world to avoid bitterness.
