Very chocolate and so good! I mixed it with Almond milk and loved it!
Only the finest, young, shade-grown gyokuro tea leaves are used to create matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed and the leaves, now called tencha, are carefully ground in granite mills until they become the precious powder.

Very chocolate and so good! I mixed it with Almond milk and loved it!
Beautiful color and great aroma. Still figuring out portions as the directions on the package say one teaspoon 'per cup' - I assumed this to mean 8oz of water but I have seen others say it is meant more for a 4oz cup. Either way I love the taste of this match a. The chocolate flavor comes out quite nicely with a little bit of sugar.
If you like matcha you may like this. The first cup I had I really enjoyed it, but the second time I had it I decided it was not for me. I really wanted to love it and just didn't.
this stuff is one of my favorite indulge teas. It tastes like an earthy hot chocolate basically. I recommend it.
I liked this. I have tried it hot and cold, Its pretty good.
Good balanced flavor. Really enjoy this over standard matcha. Great substitute for coffee in lattes.
The flavour combo is good, but not dominantly chocolate like i though it would be. A wonderful unique taste.
Absolutely love this tea. Always a fan of matcha but really like the chocolate flavor.
This is the best matcha tea I’ve had. The chocolate is subtle but it pairs so well with the matcha flavor. I’m planning on ordering the larger size after I use up my sample.
Since the price point is a little cheap for matcha I was very weary, but this wasn't bad. Flavor is definitely more culinary grade than ceremonial grade which is why the cheaper price but that's ok! Chocolate flavor is mild (but stronger on the nose). Not too many grassy notes, sadly, but an enjoyable matcha regardless. I recommend 75°C water to 1gram (1/2-1 tsp) of matcha to start out with and play with preference from there. This is probably better suited for those into making sweet matcha lattes rather than a single shot because of the mild flavor but still good for either purposes.
I didn't really taste the chocolate in this, despite trying a few different strengths.
I’ve been hooked on chocolate matcha for a while. I was happy to find a new source.
Of the flavored Matchas I've tried from Adagio this one is probably my least favorite. It's still great, but the flavor isn't as strong. If I was in a blind taste test I would not guess this was chocolate. Big fan of the Blueberry, Peach, and Raspberry Matcha though.
I feel like I don’t really taste the chocolate flavor, and the matcha is not that strong tasting either. Maybe I’m not using enough.
Good product with rich flavor! I use this product every single night!
Just tasted like matcha. No chocolate flavor. But the Hot chocolate matcha tasted like seaweed. I don’t understand. :/
I love chocolate and buying the Chocolate was a good choice for me.
I like this matcha but the chocolate flavour is mild, use extra for stronger taste. I like having it as an iced latte mixed with almond or soy milk.i appreciate the fact it’s unsweetened.
I was super excited to try this, and it's good tea. But it doesn't have any chocolate flavor. The color was its regular matcha green and the flavor was regular matcha. I like the tea, but was really hoping for that chocolate flavor. Not sure if it was packaged wrong or maybe they didn't add enough of the chocolate.
My favorite flavored Matcha. Not over powered by chocolate but adds a delicious hint of chocolate with frothed milk.
At first i wasn't sure about this tea because i had to prepare it. Once u get the hang of it, the tea is delicious. It has a touch of chocolate, which i love ! I make a latte by adding almond vanilla soy milk. Tastes awesome!
I got this as a gift for my mom and she loved it so much!
My #1 favorite product on this entire site. I've lost count of how many times I've repurchased this one because I love it so much, especially on early mornings when I really would rather stay home all day than go to work.
After falling in love with the Match Blueberry, I wanted to venture out into other flavors I love. The reviews for this tea left me believing there would be a nice chocolately flavor to this matcha, but I'm just not finding it. I don't get the overwhelming grassy taste, but I also get no chocolate, no matter how much tea I use. Pretty disappointed in this one.
The flavor of matcha and chocolate go together great! I drink this iced.
Exactly as expected. I liked the little tin. I think I can use this for baking as well as drinking.
I love match chocolate. It has great health benefits.
Pretty good-not much of a chocolate flavor - however I used in batching hard ice cream as I use the regular matcha for this as well-
I like starting my day with matcha. The chocolate matcha doesn't really taste like chocolate to me, but there is an aroma of chocolate. I really like it.
My husband loved this! I graded it 4 stars because it is expensive.
My daughter needs to get up and get to school . Love saver !
Love this stuff! You can drink or alone or add it to your morning coffee for an extra kick! I add it to my Cafe mocha and I love it!
Yum! I love drinking matcha iced and this is such a nice chocolate version
Love adagio Matcha. A nice aroma and great taste.
My favorite matcha flavor. Subtle sweetness from the chocolate.
Can t really taste the chocolate in this matcha.
I got this just because I wanted to try it and I could not be happier. I cheat and don't use the traditional method of making matcha. I use a nespresso milk frother to heat it up and mix it at the same time and it makes the perfect cup of matcha tea. The chocolate flavor isn't overwhelming, but it's present enough to add a hint.
It smells more chocolaty than it tastes, but it is still a very delicious matcha. Makes a great latte.
This review is from my daughter. I would have rated it as good because I typically prefer milk chocolate to dark chocolate. However, my daughter prefers dark chocolate and she loved it. It does look and taste like matcha and a small amount of sweetener (she chose honey) pulls out the chocolate taste more.
The chocolate flavour is surprisingly strong. This matcha was high quality and very fresh when it arrived. Very creamy, and a gentle sweetness. Plenty of earthiness, which I like :)
This stuff smelled SO good and chocolatey, I really got my hopes up. Especially after trying the peach and being so pleasantly surprised. I have to say that once I mixed it up, it seems to have lost much of the chocolate. It didn t taste much different than a regular, plain matcha (to me). That being said, it wasn t a terrible matcha, but I expected some chocolate!
This is a pretty good matcha. I wish it had more chocolate favor though. You can barely taste it.
Delicious as an iced latte. Tastes like a matcha infused chocolate bar. No bitterness. This is my favourite flavoured matcha so far!
Chocolate flavor is very muted. Still great quality matcha. Flavor is best with vanilla unsweetened almond milk iced. Did not care for it hot
still the same matcha with a bit of chocolate-y goodness. not as chocolate infused as i would have liked, but it smells good and has a smooth flavor
Delicious. Love it in a frappuchino with vanilla alternative milks.
My new favorite! This is a great way to not only ward off the after-lunch sleepiness, but to help me avoid the office candy jar in the afternoon. :-) Great with a tiny bit of sweetener
I don’t like the flavor of matcha, but if I drink it when I get a cold I swear I feel better the next day. The chocolate is subtle but does make it a bit easier for me to get it down.
How can you go wrong with chocolate and matcha!!!..
Love the subtle hint of chocolate, it goes surprisingly well with matcha! I whisk my matcha while slowly pouring in the hot water, it's a nice treat!
