Perfect cup exactly what Yerba Mate should taste like!
Not a fan by itself but mixed with other flavors this is a great addition.
I got this as a gift for my sister. She wanted it plain, so that she could make her own blends and mix in other fruity herbals. This did the trick for her- she said it was good!
This tea is...interesting. My taste buds feel rather 'meh' about the flavor, but there is nothing wrong the with quality of this tea. It's good to have around for the caffeine kick.
This was my first time trying mate, and I m blown away. The brew is a lovely light green color and it tastes amazing! Sweet, grassy, and herby in all the right ways. Some of the best tea I ve had from Adagio.
Mellow stimulation. Smooth flavor. No bitterness even if steeped at boiling. My new 'green tea'
This brought me back to my Brazilian roots! From the smell to the flavor...I couldn't wait to share this with my family!!!
Lots of energy, of course! This is one of my favorite yerba mate teas.
I use this when my brain is tired. Helps me to testify in court in the late afternoon. The taste is not really my style though. Going to try some of the other mates.
This is a great blend to add your favorite herbal
My first Mate experience! It was very pleasant, brewed as directed, and tasted a bit like green tea.
A really high quality yerba mate, looks very crisp and clean even right out of the bag
I got this for my roommate who loves it. Its replaced coffee for her, but for me its just OK. She loves it though and drinks it daily.
I first sampled Mate while in Argentina, and have purchased it for more than a decade afterwards. I'm not sure why this one was a miss for me, but it just didn't taste like what I've had before, or maybe I just prefer Tulsi nowadays...
My husband is very pleased with this tea. He will use this instead of coffee in the morning for his morning caffeine dose.
Really earthy and a great Yerbe Mate. Really great if you do Bulletproof tea.
Got the teabags to use at work. Tastes great and feels good!
tip: make this tea and mix with fruit juice (we used a raspberry lemonade) and have it cold! so refreshing, much better than a cup of coffee on hot days
I bought this for my brother's wife who said it was an excellent yerba mate and would recommend I pick some up too --- a real glowing review!
I m not the biggest fan but I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it! His favorite tea by far. Very earthy and grassy tasting. I m giving it 5 stars because he enjoys it so much.
Wonderful tea! A good pick me up when you need some energy.
I bought this because my husband wanted to try it. He liked it. It s not my favorite.
Revitalizing and zingy! Great for any time of day.
Fantastic taste and a nice kick for my morning. I brew it in a mate gourd and it tastes just it should.
This is my first time trying mate. I like it, but I found it to be a bit plain tasting. Simple is good, but not what I like in the mornings when I'm trying to wake up. I think I'll try some of adagio's mate blends next.
I LOVE the mocha nut mate, so I really wanted to check out the yerba mate as well. I was...underwhelmed. The yerba is much more subtle--almost tastes like just drinking hot water with a very tiny bit of something herbal (and this is after I used twice as much tea as I usually do). It's not bad, but it's not terribly impressive, either.
This tea is good with a little sugar added. No weird aftertaste.
This is interesting. It was my first time trying yerba mate, and I really enjoy it! It has a sort of toasty flavor and tastes quite a bit like green tea. It actually really reminds me of genmai cha in a way! I ve been drinking this the past couple mornings, and I could see myself drinking it regularly. It s an unusual flavor, but good.
This tea reminds me of a high quality, smooth black tea. It s not harsh or bitter but has more of a grassy taste, which I love. The caffeine content is high, but it doesn t affect me like most caffeine does.
My husband just loves this pure, unflavored mate! Perfection.
Best natural energy i have found!! Works nearly instantly for a quick pick me up jolt. Very unique taste. I enjoy cold
I'm not a huge fan of the flavor or Yerba Mate by itself, I think I'm still acquiring the taste, but it adds a nice flavor when mixed with other teas and the caffeine content is great. The one tricky thing to keep an eye on is the fact that it steeps at a lower temperature, so mixing it sometimes doesn't extract all the flavor from the other teas because the temperature is a little lower. This Yerba Mate is a great value and I always keep some on hand to put a little pep in my step.
Fresh, green tasting Yerba mate. Add lemon and honey for the perfect brew.
Yerba mate isn't a taste that everyone loves right away, but I enjoy it. This tea is pretty high-caffeine, but it doesn't have as strong a negative effect on me as coffee does. The flavor is pretty distinct and plant-like, and I thought it came across much clearer and fresher here than in store-bought yerba mate that I've gotten in the past.
A fantastic caffeine boost without the bitterness of coffee or an energy drink.
This mate is well-balanced and provides a 'clean' feeling energy. The taste is subtle and earthy.
My friend went to Argentina and had the real deal, this should make a nice gift for him.
Very good tea. I like the flavor and it's perfect to blend with herbal teas to add a bit of caffiine without losing flavor
This has become a daily must for me. I stopped drinking coffee because it triggered heartburn, but unfortunately missed the caffeine that coffee provided and regular tea just didn't do the trick for me. This is the solution for me. I love mixing it with other teas, as it's mild enough to not overpower them, but still provide the caffeine I need.
I had higher hopes for this tea, but unfortunately I was disappointed. First time trying a mate tea so I don't have anything to compare to, but this one just tastes like a cheap, bitter green tea to me. Also it didn't have as much caffeine as I was hoping.
Yerba Mate is unfortunately not for me. I feel like a squeeze of lemon may make it a bit more palatable but otherwise it was undrinkable.
Love this tea. Hands down the best way to get a long lasting, not jittery caffeine boost :)
this was my first try of this tea. it was recommended by a coworker that i turned on to this site. i can definitely see why he likes it, but i am not a fan of this one for a certain reason. i am not a smoker and this tea tastes like a green tea with a tobacco aftertaste. it is for that reason i don't like this one. my friend smokes cigars and he loves it so there is that. i got a smokey and almost straw or hay like scent when i opened it. i wasn't able to finish the cup but i will say the green tea flavor in it was nice. it reminded me of a ginseng kinda thing. the tobacco aftertaste lingered and was too much for me to really enjoy it. some flavors aren't for everybody so i will be skipping the other yerba teas. but if you don't mind that aspect definitely give it a try for yourself
My first time trying yerba mate, and I love it! It tastes faintly like tobacco, which is a smell I personally really like (before it's smoked) and has a good buzz.
This Yerba Mate tastes great! It tastes so yummy with coconut sugar. It gave me so much energy! Can t wait to drink more!
Wow. Wow! I just love this. This is a high quality mate, almost entirely made from the leaf and not the twigs or branches. It's my favorite now for the morning and afternoon. I find it more gentle on my stomach than either tea or coffee. I brew it in either a French press or - strangely enough - in an AeroPress using the inverted method. I brew 2 teaspoons per 10 oz mug. If I'm really needing a kick, I put in a full tablespoon. I tend to drink it with either almond milk or 1/2 & 1/2. Some yerba mate can get bitter, but I've found that this particular one is fine as long as I brew it at a low enough temperature. And, yes, it has a lot of caffeine, but as many people say, the feeling of the caffeine is different - more mellow and less jittery.
I m totally addicted to Mate! Having family from Argentina who drink this everyday, I now understand why!
To me, mate is a little bland by itself. However, it is a wonderful pick me up when blended with a fruity herbal tea. Love!
I really like Yerba Mate. I tastes like green tea but lighter and grassier. The extra caffeine makes it a good morning tea too! I can't wait to try the Toasted Mate; I think I'll like that even better.
great herbal flavor. I would recommend. I dont feel the rush but that is why I like it. I drink this after my first cup of morning tea. I would like to know why this is brewed at such a cold temp for short time. Most herbals are hot and long.
