Good yerba, it was all leaf and had no stems. Very fine, some of it made it through my bombilla.
Argentine Yerba Mate with lively, tangy, herbaceous notes. Faint hints of tobacco and grass. Contains caffeine.

Good yerba, it was all leaf and had no stems. Very fine, some of it made it through my bombilla.
Very grassy and herby. Doesn't taste like traditional 'tea', but a nice change of pace. Plus, it's supposed to be good for you, so...
Have been hunting for actual Yerba mate tea for my husband that loves the bottled drinks. I'm a little weirded out by the smell (haven't braved trying it) but he LOVES this tea so 5 stars!
The energy boost is real folks! I'm a huge fan and plan to drink this for years to come.
My husband loves this tea. It's smoky and earthy.
I prefer the toasted mate, as I am more of a smoky person than a grassy one, but this is exactly what I need when I need something brassier than my usual dark teas to wake me up.
I love this tea. It's light but flavorful and was still good after a couple brews.
Yerba Mate is not for me. Nothing wrong with it, but I prefer fuller flavors.
This tea has a great flavor and is a great energy booster.
I've bought Yerba Mate in the store many times and I have to say the Adagio order I got is superior. There was almost no 'dust' or sticks and the resulting brew is bright and clear. Yerba mate is a unique taste that might take a bit of getting used to but it's my go-to for a mid day pick me up. Try adding some honey or agave to balance the natural 'grassiness'. I brew a longer cup to boost the flavor.
havent really made a good cup of this yet... says to brew at 180, and i did, but it was way too mild. perhaps a higher temp would be better
I agree that it is an acquired taste. The best way I can describe it is earthy, with a bit of a smoky aftertaste. It does perk you up though, and with a little sweetener, it's a good alternative to coffee.
I've never had a mate tea before, but this was a great one to start with. It's very different, but if you're open to trying something new, it's worth it. I had to start by adding honey & a splash of cream, but now I enjoy it all by itself as well.
Fantastic. Natural thermogenic. Fantastic price. The hay and grass flavor in this Yerba Mate is better on the palate than most I've had. I drink this tea everyday, all day. It's a great, cheap and healthy drink.
It's grassy, but in a tasty way. Definitely gives a good caffeine kick!
This is delicious and super helpful on my quest to drink less soda! It keeps me awake in the morning like nothing else.
A top-notch mate. As promised, grassier than most green teas you might drink. It reminds me a bit of what pu erh is to black teas; yerba mate is the 'earthier' version of green tea.
There are also hints of citrus sweetness to it, which makes the citrus mate another excellent choice--but I prefer the mate with no frills attached. I steep it much closer to green tea temperature, but that's more pragmatism than anything; I have a large mug and I don't want it to get too cool too soon! And it still tastes excellent at 175.
Enjoyed it as a breakfast tea. Light flavor. Would purchase again.
Wonderful flavor. Just be sure your infuser doesn't have larger holes as yerba is very small and flakey. I know that this is caffeinated but can't really tell, this could be because of how much caffeine I have in general though so mileage may vary. Definitely going to be getting this in the future regardless. Also I accidentally steeped it for longer than I usually do, and it made a really beautiful cup of dark green tea. I've never seen it get this dark! It's a sort of forest green, very nice. All in all great tea.
This tea is unlike any other I have had from adagio!
This taste's great. We also mix it with are other teas for a little more caffeine kick!
I like mate. I feel like it gives a good energy boost.
A great mild flavor, unlike any other tea. Very nice iced.
I love using the yerba mate for a less acidic, more caffeinated tea. Sometimes I even add a teaspoon into my regular black teas to give an extra kick.
first mate experience and loved it. really mild pleasant tea
Not as strong as some other Mate's that I've had. But at the price it's worth it. I'll be ordering it again.
This is a good mate tea. i prefer the citrus and mango better though
I have no idea what possessed me to buy the bigger bag of this tea. I was originally going to buy just the sample size because it is so unlike anything I have tried before. After the first pot that I made, I am glad I did accidentally buy the bigger size. My husband and I both love this tea. He usually insists on having honey in his tea, but he drinks this tea black.
Really good Yerba Mate. I prefer mine with cream and honey
This a good tea if you're looking for a nice mellow tea.
This is about as good Yerba Meta. I steep it in a porcelain tea pot which works really well for this tea. Strong earthy taste that sits in your mouth. If you like Yerba Mate, this is a very good option.
Solid, definitely has a caffeine kick which is what I got it for. Could take or leave the taste but that's not the point of this herbal tea for me.
I was surprised by how sweet this ended up being. It's got an interesting flavor - I can't really explain it other than there's a sweet note at the end. It's become my morning tea; it definitely wakes you up.
The flavor is good on this tea. I drink it mostly for the focus yerba mate is known for.
make sure to pack a lot of it in, and use hot water- thats the closest way to drink it sans bombilla (at least, for me)
Yerba mate isn't my top favorite, but this was still a quality pick from Adagio. I think green tea fans would appreciate the gentle herbal flavor of this one.
Good flavor, you'll need tea bags, this will slip through just about any infuser.
This tea helps me wake up and feel energized. Great substitution for coffee.
Personally, I don't get a lot of the smoky flavors that many others wrote about, but it could be that I'm just too new to tea to notice. Regardless, I enjoy it, and the caffeine is nice for busy nights studying.
This tea was decent. It's my first time having yerba mate, so I'm not really sure what to expect from it. It had a nice flavor, but it was a little bitter. Might try fiddling around the temperature and steep time next time I make this.
Great for everyday drinking tea. Nice and warm aroma.
I kind of hate this now. I've tried brewing it different ways and the flavor is just not for me at all. Best of luck!
Almost better than a cup of coffee! Enough to get up and go and go and go and go and...
Yerba Mate is definitely an acquired taste, and I'm not a big fan of it. However, this has got to be the closest to enjoyable that I've ever had. Adagio must have some high quality sources.
Yerba Mate has a really great unique flavor. I like to brew it for at least 4-5 minutes. It's also a great tea to have in the morning and will give you a boost of energy, similar to coffee without its jitters.
Im having a hard time deciding which I like better the yerba mate or the toasted. Both are great with milk and sugar.
This tea was not bad, it was okay. However, I may have prepared it incorrectly. It was my first attempt at mate.
I didn't care for the way that the tea fell through the strainer. It had a smooth flavor, but I had to drink tea leaves because it was cut too small.
It's really good it reminds a little bit of the hojicha, earthy, but not quite as much.
it was different than what i expected. may have prepared it incorrectly
