This is a coffee replacement for me. Tastes especially good with sugar. Although I find myself drinking more often without the sugar - have to save on the calories somehow. :D
Argentine Yerba Mate with lively, tangy, herbaceous notes. Faint hints of tobacco and grass. Contains caffeine.

This is the first Yerba Mate I have ever tried. The flavor was so, so, but the energy buzz is awesome. A good way to start your day. It didn't make me feel jumpy like a cup of coffee.
it has an...earthy spicy taste and a great caffeine kick!
I've never had this before and got it on a whim, didn't particularly enjoy it.
If you like the Earthiness of straight yerba mate, you will like this one. I made it in the morning and felt ready for the day. Made the same 2 tsps. 4 times over, and each steep provided more and more lightly sweet earthy flavor
I love mate! This is a nice grade, but make sure to get the proper gourd and straw to drink it.
Can't say I'm a fan. It literally tasted like I was drinking the flavor of my Grandma's pipe tobacco. Its a intense wake-up if you need it, but not a tea for me.
the yerba mate was wonderful with a subtle earthy and smokey flavor that can be mixed well, while providing a real energizing kick as well. great in the mornings or combined with chamomile or another tea to give it a kick.
Always good and love the tiny kick of spice you get from this tea.
Fantastic tea! Gives a great energy boost, like coffee without the jitters
Classic yerba mate. Great rich and earthy flavor.
Much better than some other yerba mates i have tried.
This tea is amazing! I'm so glad I replaced my energy drink addiction with this. It gives me a lot of energy and doesn't have a symptom of causing me to crash!
Very fine grained, also it has caffeine which was a surprise to me.
I have never had yerba mate before, but I was surprised that I liked it so much. It's earthy and herbaceous. It took me a few sips to get into it. Once I did, I found it extremely pleasant. It would also be a wonderful canvas for other flavors and blends.
Very good taste, I was expecting it to be very bitter, but it wasn't it had a nice earthy flavor to it.
Coming from an Argentine family, mate has been a staple in my life since I was born. My mother sampled this mate and said it was 'ok', not very flavorful compared to her normal brand. It also had very small leaves so it wasn't great for the bombilla
A good go to tea, if you want to try something different from green, black, etc. that still has caffeine.
This tea tastes the way the forest smells on a damp autumn day. It's not bad, but not something I could drink a lot of, or drink very often. I found it got bitter as the tea cooled. Contrary to the description, it DID make me jittery.
Fresh flavor, and gives me a wonderful boost of energy. One of my go-to teas for the morning.
I wanted to love it, really I did, but there was just something about the flavor of this tea that disappointed me. I can't put my finger on it, but it's there. even when I'm not very fond of a flavor, I power through and drink what I made just because I made it, and I hate to waste. But I couldn't keep going, and ended up emptying my teapot and making something else instead. Maybe I should have added sugar, I don't know, but overall, it's not my favorite, and while I know not everyone loves all teas, it makes me sad not to be able to give everything a glowing review.
As someone who prefers dark teas, I'm more partial to the mocha nut mate or toasted mate, but this yerba mate is a nice change of pace. It's grassier than black tea, but drier and more hay-like than the lush greens. I've tried the citrus mate before too, and that one was much sharper and full of lemon flavor. This one has really fantastic subtle citrus notes all wrapped up in toasted, nutty warmth. The caffeine boost is a nice touch too.
A good introduction to yerba mate, I'm glad I got the chance to try a small sample bag. The taste can be a little grassy, so I broke my normal rule and added some honey to sweeten it. Great alternative to coffee though, since I don't drink the black stuff and my black teas just weren't cutting it in the mornings.
So so. I'm finding I'm not a mate person myself . caffeine is great though.
A strong and earthy tasting mate. I like this one quite a bit and the caffeine content is as strong as the 'do not drink before bed' warning suggests.
I love this tea! It's so much easier ordering here than from Argentina where I used to order it from. All the caffeine without the jitters.
Love this and can't get enough! After sampling it, I just bought the 16oz bag and plan to consume it regularly. It's a nice alternative to tea and coffee.
This was decent-- nice a grassy. Worth a try, but I personally prefer the toasted mates.
Very fresh and 'green' tasting, good replacement for coffee. Small pieces make a little difficult to steep, but it's worth it.
This wasn't bad, but it just wasn't pleasing to my particular tastes. However, I ended up giving this to a friend and they absolutely loved it.
I've never tried yerba mate before, so I'm excited to try this!
This was my first yerba mate so maybe I'm just not a yerba mate person, but I didn't like the taste on its own. It's good with sugar or mixed with another tea.
This particular yerba mate was very smooth, woody, and sweet! I especially enjoy a cup every once a while to take a break from traditional black and green teas.
This is one that I don't normally drink on its own but I mix it with other blends when I want an extra little kick.
I love the boost of energy that comes with this tea! I usually add steamed milk and a bit of honey and enjoy it as a latte, but it's also tasty on its own.
Granted the taste is not a typical american desire, but this mixes well with most teas and a subtle sweatner. ( this tea has caffein and good health benifits)
This tea is great alone, or mixed with other teas (dewy cherry is my favorite companion). It's true, you are alert, but not jittery, after a cup of this tea!
Love the energy. Hate the taste. It's not a fun woodsy taste. I'm not a fan. BUT, I do like it when added to fresh mint and green tea. After you mask the funky flavor, it's great.
Nice earthy flavor that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. It is not one of my favorites, but I do enjoy a nice cup when the time is right
I bought this to share with a friend and she liked it. It's pleasant and smoky, reminding me of green tea except for the aftertaste. In terms of brewing, just make sure you have fine enough of a filter.
the first few cups of this i loved it, it was like a green tea, but slowly i fell out of love with it
High quality, classic mate. Very solid aroma and flavour. Earthy, almost woody, and clean, almost astringent.
It has a very earthy aroma and helps me feel energized.
A simple tea, very down to earth. A cup before going to bed really helps mellow me out and sleep better.
VERY Earthy flavor and aroma. Wouldn't turn it down if it was all I had...and it actually fits with a couple blends I created and will most likely use it as a small percentage in a couple blends.
Great coffee replacement for the caffeine content.
This tea is earthy but not pungent. I'm not sure if I'm doing something odd, but I'm not getting the strong flavors (good or bad) others mention. It's satisfactory, not something I'd seek but I wouldn't decline if offered.
A bit of a weird flavor IMO. Definitely has a kick but too strange of a flavor for me personally.
a great aroma and color to this mate tea and the taste leaves you satisfied.
It was bitter, but after I added sugar it was great. It gave me lots of energy too, without the jitters.
