Love this spearmint! It's bold, but smooth and very, very minty. The aroma will definitely brighten your spirits!
Refreshingly clear, soothing aroma. Slightly smoother, more grounded than peppermint, gentle to the palate.

Love this spearmint! It's bold, but smooth and very, very minty. The aroma will definitely brighten your spirits!
A fresh minty aroma emanated out of today's CommuniTEA packet. This zero caffeine spearmint tea steeped at 212°F for 5 minutes to produce a fresh light golden brown colored tisane.
The spearmint tea is refreshingly minty without too much bite or menthols. This one is much more mild than the peppermint tea, and seemed to have less of a peppered dried leafy flavor too. There was a nice herbal quality to it as it cooled. When lukewarm, it tasted a bit too herbal, and lost some of its' charm. However, when chilled in the fridge it bounced back and became a refreshing and thirst quenching sip.
For the most part, this tea is a very good example of a plain spearmint tisane. Fresh and bright, not too powerfully minty and not many off flavors except when lukewarm.
Spearmint is probably my favorite of the mints, for candy and gum. I am not 100% sure how I like it as a tea yet. I think I like peppermint tea more. That said, I enjoyed this tea and I feel it was actually easier on my stomach. It is not as strong as peppermint so I need to let it steep a little longer than I usually would.
Of all the mints, spearmint is my favorite. It's sweeter and more mellow than peppermint. I compared my CommuniTEA sample against spearmint from another tea company and found that Adagio's tea leaves were larger and smelled fresher. I steeped 1 teaspoon tea in 8 oz of water at 212°F x 5 minutes and enjoyed without any sweetener. I like to keep this tea on hand to add to other blends because it doesn't overpower other flavors.
A staple for a reason, a reminder of the winters end with the thought of springtime to the forefront of our minds as we partake int he richness of this tea.
A favoured sensation that spills forth throughout the senses and fills the mind at ease. A wonderful calming effect and nighttime drink.
Recommended for hot days and for nights that you just need to relax.
Opening my CommuniTEA packet allows the heavenly fragrance of spearmint to escape and fill my senses. This is a wonderful tea that can both wake me up in the morning or relax me in the evening. While I generally prefer peppermint over spearmint it is still a brisk cuppa that I enjoy. 212 F x 8 min.
I rarely give herbals five stars, and mint flavored things aren't my favorite. With that being said, this tea is wonderful! It definitely does remind me of spearmint gum, but that's not a bad thing at all in my opinion! Love it ! ♥️ I'd certainly have this again!
What a cruel joke for April 1st anything mint is so gross!
Lovely spearmint! One of my favorite flavors <3 And its not too overpowering! Some spearmint teas knock you over, this one is SO nice
Very good mint tea. Slightly sweet, no need for sugar.
I don’t usually like spearmint in tea so I was very surprised how much I liked this on its own. This is a mild mint but still holds its own. I liked it both hot and cold, plain or with a touch of honey. If peppermint is too strong for you then this will be perfect.
My CommuniTEA pouch greeted me with a trip down memory lane today. Growing up, one of my mother's first remedies for an upset stomach was Wrigley's Spearmint gum, and this tea smells exactly like it. I know, I shouldn't be surprised. Flashbacks aside, I enjoyed this tea; it showcased a more savory side to mint tea. I'm more familiar with peppermint tea, which I find more naturally sweet. I felt compelled to add sugar to bring out the sweetness and only found it after the tea cooled. Although it was quite a different mint experience than I'm used to, it was a pleasant one.
A really nice brew. I've been drinking a lot of peppermint and mint b
Pleasant cup to be a night cap. Not as demanding attention as peppermint tea, just a nice soothing and mild mint.
Simple, delicious and full of flavor. Great hot or cold. I had it both ways with some sweetener. Would be wonderful mixed with other types of tea.
This tea smelled incredible when I opened the package. Spearmint is my favorite mint. The tea has lovely mild mint taste that's not overpowering. I enjoyed it with a bit of sugar.
I always thought I preferred peppermint over spearmint. I enjoyed it more than I thought. The mint was mellow and a perfect cup to wind down at the end of the day.
It’s spearmint. Smells like spearmint, tastes like spearmint. I prefer it in a blend rather than on its own, but it was interesting to taste pure.
Steeped 212F 8min
Love a mint tea, and spearmint is so unique. Slightly sweet, very minty, and pleasant to wind down the day with a cup in hand. I do almost wish it was mintier!

I generally prefer spearmint over peppermint in gum, and always found it strange that mint teas always seemed to use peppermint. Glad to see a spearmint tea for once!
Very fresh and minty. Really enjoyed today’s communitea.
Good quality spearmint tea. Really enjoyed the warm minty flavor.
Add a bit of sugar and it tastes exactly like doublemint gum.
Very minty, like gum, but in a good way. Leaves a refreshing feeling.
I was not really in the mood to have this as a tea so I decided to try something a little different with this. I brewed it with boiling water (with a lot less water) and let it sit for 15 minutes to get good and concentrated. Then I added white sugar and kept stirring it so it dissolved, until I had a very, very sweet spearmint simple syrup!
I then squeezed the juice of a lime, and added club soda, then added my syrup, and voila! A fauxhito (faux= false mojito, but I did not add any rum. The spearmint made a lovely version, and this drink would be lovely on a hot summers day- too bad we had snow outside! Oh well, this was a nice change, and I think this will be in my cart for summertime drinking- next time I'll add some rum, but this tea is quite versatile, and will be a welcome addition to my tea cupboard!
WOW! The scent and the taste of this tea exceeded my expectations by far. I loved this tea! Adagio's spearmint tastes so fresh and soothing. I was feeling a little under the weather (stress headache and tension/throat from teaching in a mask all day). When I tried this in my CommuniTEA packet it helped so much. My sinus's cleared up and it immediately relaxed my tense neck and head. No need for any sweetener with the freshness of the spearmint. I have this in my cart to order. This is one I want to keep on hand.
This is a very enjoyable tea. Fresh and comforting, perfect for a chilly afternoon
When it comes to the minty teas, my preferred is peppermint, but I found the spearmint to be pleasant and comforting. Sweetened with a bit of sugar, it was the perfect after dinner cup to relax with!
I definitely prefer peppermint tea, but as far as spearmint goes, I can tell that this is a really high quality tea! Has a fresh and cool spearmint taste without being bitter. Smells and tastes a bit like trident gum for me, but if you like spearmint I think this is a great choice.
Smells great and tastes great too. Strong but not an overpowering spearmint flavor. Recommended for people who like their mint teas!
Another surprise from my communitea journey. My whole life I've never liked spearmint tea, I only liked peppermint, and that was that.
Well.
I gave it a go this morning and was quite impressed! 5 stars!
This is a wonderful minty tea and has a strong but not overpowering flavor the way I brewed it. Toward the end of the cup it was a bit bitter as I forgot to rinse the leaves before brewing. It rebrews well in overall flavor but loses the minty flavor faster. It becomes a much softer and enjoyable tea to me the second brew. It is very good for a minty tea, but minty teas are not my favorite so I don't believe I will be purchasing this in the future.
I'm gonna be honest, this tea reminded me of the perscription-strength toothpaste I'm having to use because of gum recession and it's just BLEGH!
This spearmint tea was delicious. I sweetened mine up a bit to enhance the minty flavor. I found the perfect amount of minty cooling sensation in my cup. I drank it late afternoon, when I got home from work and it left me feeling peppy and refreshed. This brew would also be perfect to ease a tummy ache or nausea. It would also lend itself nicely to blending with other herbs and teas, but it stands alone, loud and proud (but not too loud)
Nice and refreshing start to the morning. Made both my lungs and tummy happy.
I'm reviewing this as a part of Communitea and I promised myself I'm going to try every tea and hopefully find some new favorites. However, I'm just not a mint tea fan. I prefer to chew mint than to sip. As far as spearmint tea goes, this one is perfectly pleasant. I actually prefer this to peppermint, which I keep around as a stomach soother. Not for me, but if you're a spearmint fan you'll probably really enjoy this. Minty fresh!
Love the fresh taste and smooth minty sweetness of this tea! Great anytime!
I was slightly disappointed that adagio didn't do an April fool's day joke with this, but I'm not disappointed with the tea itself 😂
Love a good spearmint tea! Perfect for tummy troubles.
Spearmint just as advertised! Distinctly different than peppermint with a more earthy tone. Very refreshing.
One of my favorite teas! I received a portion of this tea as part of the CommuniTEA box. Usually individual portions can be unbalanced in their blend, however as this tea is only spearmint, that isn't an issue. On with the review proper.
Opening the packet of tea revealed a highly scented tea full of pepperminty goodness. The leaves were fairly ordinary, and really? It's spearmint, there's not much depth to it. I steeped this tea for about 10 minutes (I originally intended only about 5-7 minutes, but lost track of time) with 212 degree F water. It created a yellow-green tea that smelled strongly of spearmint, and a nice, warm taste with a clean mintiness. Adding a touch of sugar helps to settle the mintiness and round the tea as a whole out.
Overall, this is a pleasant tea that's sharp and pleasant. While the tea itself may not have much taste, the scent is pleasant, and it's just overall a nice tea to settle down with, especially towards the end of the day when you ant some tea, but don't want the caffeine.
Oh yes, starting April of right with this delicious cup of tea.
I find this tea to be very refreshing. I steeped it at 200F for 5min and it had enough of a strong flavor.
The aroma from my communiTea packet wasn't as strong as I thought it might be this morning. I'm guessing that spearmint is not quite as strong as peppermint in that arena. Old dog seemed more interested in things this morning which was entertaining, as she hasn't shown a ton of interest in our new morning routines of late, but today she was interested.
I went with a slightly cooler steep of 205° for 7min this morning. I enjoyed the warm mint flavor, though was surprised it wasn't as 'minty' as I expected. I was expecting a more pronounced flavor than it was - much like the peppermint flavors from earlier last month. I'm not saddened by this in the least, as the more mellow and smooth taste was appreciated this morning by me (and after some research a little taste test for Abby as well once I knew it was safe for her too - she seemed intrigued but preferred the bacon offered later). I'm not sure its one I would like often on it's own but more often mixed with something else, and I would definitely need a pick me up for work later. I also found I preferred it once it had cooled down a bit, so would almost like to try it at cooler temps.
Received in communitea pack for April. I'm not personally a fan of mint teas because they taste like gum to me, but gave to my mom who enjoyed it, so we're splitting the difference and going with 3 stars.
Minty and herby, without being bitter. I drank it hot, but I'm sure it would be delicious iced, as well! The sharpness of spearmint is sometimes not what I'm looking for, but this one is well balanced and delicious.
That's alotty mintiness. If you love spearmint this is definitely for you. Otherwise it's just spearmint which is a little much. Not bad just not for me.
Started out surprised by the earthy flavor but a few sips in and I was loving it! Nice, minty finish that lightly lingers. Lovely.
This tea is great to drink before a date for fresh breath, but I before it iced and blended with other teas in the summer time with a steeping time of 7-8 minutes. Slightly over seven, but under eight minutes at a higher temperature.
I actually did not care for this spearmint tea. I found it overly woody and herbal, rather than minty.
