Really lush and flavorful tea. I was imagining a more artificial, sour apple taste, but honestly this tea tastes exactly like a ripe apple straight off the tree. Really indulgent, but not overly sweet. And a stunning red color in the cup!
A celebration of the apple! Sweetness like a candied apple, fresh tart-floral notes of crispy crab apples.

Really lush and flavorful tea. I was imagining a more artificial, sour apple taste, but honestly this tea tastes exactly like a ripe apple straight off the tree. Really indulgent, but not overly sweet. And a stunning red color in the cup!
The aroma is not appealing (although it *is* sour apple, so what would you expect), and the taste is not for the faint of heart. It has a strong, full taste, though, and warrants purchase to at least sample.
It's... okay. Not as tart as I was hoping. The hibiscus is almost too much, and I think it would be better with something else. It almost seems more floral than apple-y.
Don't smell it in the bag. Oh goodness, it'll hurt your nose. But once it's in your mug, it's pretty good! It's got a bit of a tart bite to it in a really good way. Next time I think I'll add some spices to it but for now, all I put in was sugar and I like it just fine.
Not too sour, but has a nice tart quality a bit like a granny smith apple. Would definitely recommend.
I love this tea! I like tea that I can either put lemon or cream in and this is in the first camp. It's beautiful, tart, and refreshing. Does not taste like a Jolly Rancher (which is good).
Got a free sample of this with a huge group order, and I liked it a lot, although I do wish it had been even more sour, as I love the tartness of sour apple. It's also wonderful added into a cup of chai for that apple pie flavour.
I found my first brew to be too light in flavor but my second try was much better. Took the advice about adding a little cinnamon and it was great!
I like how the sour wasn't too overwhelming in the overall taste of the tea. I enjoyed the apple taste in combination with the hint of 'sour.' Great tea!
simultaneously tart and sweet, a really great cup of tea. lovely hot with a little bit of added sweetness, or iced
I was a little disappointed with this tea because it wasn't very sour, and I would have liked more apple bits. It mixes well with other teas though.
Sour apple is definitely one I'll continue to get over and over. The first cup I had I accidentally added too much sugar and it tasted like Sour Apple Jolly Ranchers.
Definitely better as an iced tea, hot it feels like I'm drinking warm juice, but cold its absolutely amazing.
Smells great in the bag but brews bitter with an odor that is not good.
When you add the sugar crystals to this tea its tastes like hot apple cider or ice cold apple juice.
A good herbal tea. It taste exactly as the name describes it.
A very interesting and delicious tea. It is sour, do not expect anything else from it. It has a nice crisp aroma, and smells wonderful dry.
I was attracted to the word 'sour' in the title, and it is. But this tea just wasn't anything special to me.
The first thing I do when I receive a new tea is smell it in the bag. In this case, it made my eyes water with a strong apple cider vinegar smell. However, I'm glad I still gave it a chance, because it brews a delightful, tangy, sour, natural tasting cup of tea.
This is a Wonderful tea! The tartness of the apple really shines through, not artificial tasting at all.
this tea is delicious! definitely one of my favorites from adagio so far. if you like a sour apple flavor, you really can't go wrong with this tea.
Sour Apple is a delightful tea. I got this as a free sample with another order an couldn't be more pleased with my choice. Before I got into Adagio, I would drink Celestial Seasonings tea whenever I had wanted tea and one of my favorites of there's was the Red Zinger tea and this Sour Apple tea is very similar in style to it RZ. I plan to buy more of this tea when I run out along with trying it iced. All in all, wonderful Adagio product.
For those of you looking for a tea with hibiscus, that isn't as sour as pure hibiscus tea, this is it! Great taste with the rosehips and apple.
Good apple tea. Not sure how it compares to the regular apple tea on here, but certanly worth giving it a go. It didn't really have any sour aspects, though.
This tasted wonderful, just like apples with a hint of sourness. Add a pinch of sugar and it is just perfect.
This is fantastic. It smells like a Sour Patch Kid or a Warhead candy. And the taste is actually wonderfully sour. It's a deep red from the hibiscus, and it's good both hot and iced.
I preferred the apple flavored black tea. The apple flavor was good, but it seemed like it was missing something.
Pleasantly sour appley smell, just a bit too strong in taste.
Pretty great tea! I added a little sugar, because the apple flavor wasn't super apparent when the tea was still hot, but if it were left to cool, it may not need the sugar?
I normally don't like fruity teas, and nothing ever with 'sour' in the name, but this tea is SO wonderful! I even mix it with honeybush vanilla for just the right amount of natural sweetness!
No surprises here. Tasty. Pink with hibiscus, tart like fall apples. Definite fall flavor. Probably a great element for blending.
This tea was truly just alright. I drank it with a bit of sugar and some lemon and I couldn't really pick up a definite taste. It's just rose hips and apple as far as I can tell. An alright cup, but not my favorite herbal.
Absolutely loved it. Wonderful balance of flavors. Would buy again.
I'm reviewing this based on having bought it before, as this particular free sample has not yet arrived. But oh, this and Wild Strawberry need to be on my shelves ASAP--As Soon As Paid. Both make wonderful iced tea, particularly, but are equally delicious warm.
When I buy flavored tea--black tea that's been flavored--I'lll sometimes buy black tea flavored with apple and mix half and half with the sour apple for a much more intense and thirst-quenching taste. I'll buy black tea flavored with strawberry and do the same half-and-half mix with the wild strawberry--and of all teas and mixtures I've ever tried, that particular one, 1 part black tea flavored with strawberry and 1 part wild strawberry tea, brewed and then iced, is the absolute most delicious drink I have ever had in my life. Don't you dare put sugar in it--though I tried it once with a Miracle Berry tablet and quite literally nearly wept it was so wonderful.
Fantastic! I love the way the tart apple and sour rose hips go together. No sweetener needed with this tea.
I can't wait to try it iced!
I am absolutely in love with this herbal tea. I've been using it the past two days for my sore throat and it's been working wonders. There's a very nice balance between tart and sweet so I don't feel the need to use a sweetener. When I had my brother smell the tea he said it reminded him of sour apple bubble yum.
This tastes good, its not overpowering but you can still have a good flavor.
I was initially put off by the scent of this tea in the packet - it had a very strong apple cider vinegar note. After brewing, I found it to be refreshingly tart with a nice sweetness for balance.
A great apple flavor and as usual, I like it iced. Real hot in Texas
This tea was a lot more mild than I had expected it to be. I thought there would be a little more 'sour zip' to it. Once I got over my expectations, I found that the flavor was really quite pleasant. It is mild and not overpowering, but still flavorful. A great herbal tea.
I may have steeped it too long, but I found that it was much to sour/bitter. I'll try again though and maybe add a bit of sugar next time.
This tea kind of smelled like feet when I first opened the sample container. Thankfully, the resulting brew is more appealing to the palette than its scent. I also enjoyed the results when I used this blend to flavor plain green tea.
Not a lot of flavor brewed on its own, but I love adding it to other teas for the cider scent and extra sweetness.
This tea, while not so sour, is a pretty good herbal tea. Personally, I like to combine sour apple with other fruity herbal (blood orange, strawberry, etc.) to make some interesting blends.
I think I just have to face the fact that fruity herbals with hibiscus just aren't for me. The hibiscus always tends to overpower the other flavors, as it does here. Might be better iced.
This tea tastes exactly like a Jolly Rancher Sour Apple candy. Very good if you like tart/sweet herbal teas.
if you love tangy, tart teas, you will adore this one. smells like apple jolly ranchers and has just the right amount of bite.
upon ordering this tea I expected a little more apple flavor. However, it is basically just a regular berry tea with some apple pieces
Didn't like this one, too sour and overwhelming. I haven't had a lot of luck with the herbals from adagio.
I love their Sour Apple (Herbal tea), exactly what I had expected for this tea. With a little bit sugar, you can get a full-bodied apple flavor with very good rose fragrance and hibiscus sourness.
