Surprising at the flavor - still really good though...
Traditional yerba mate elegantly balances the spirit of chai spices with the essence of tropical fruit undertones.

Surprising at the flavor - still really good though...
This one may have a bit too much going on. I didn't really taste any fruit, just the spices, and they were nice, but there was a bitterness that we noticed. As with the other mates we've had, we will reduce the temperature and try again to see if we can ease that bittterness.
Stirring my loose leaf's while steeping has significantly improved my results! Samurai Mate is a very good caffeinated chai alternative - HOT (from the spice) with a hint of tangy bitterness. Excellent with a little dark hot cocoa mix and a bit of cream to cool it down. Update: This one is easily one of my favorites. SO good!
Amazing flavor. A great herbal tea to sit and warm the bones.
Beautiful golden color, with note of aroma of spices,
One of my favorites from my sample pouches. Definitely ordering again .
I enjoyed this one. It has a very comforting flavor.
Coming from teavana and this was my favorite I was so happy to see adagio have this. I love it with milk and sugar
So it says 5 min seep but I forgot to set timer and next thing you know it had been 10 mins. The tea flavor was the perfect strength the cinnamon was too much for my liking not sure if it's is because the longer seep ir just the tea.
It was so good. The flavors blended well with the matè
I wish my whole room smelled like this tea - it's so delicious. Highly recommend adding milk, it is a warm boost.
This is one of my ride and die teas. I have been getting this tea for a while and I love it
This is my go-to favorite tea on Adagio, and many I have shared it with hold the same opinion! Super mild, but light sweet spiciness... can't get enough of it.
Very flavorful, the ginger had a very subtle spice that didn’t overpower the fruitiness of the mango pieces. I’d definitely buy this kind again, this was an excellent choice trying this brand for the first time.
This was a lighter flavor than anticipated but definitely a lovely cup.
I make a 1:1 blend of Raja Oolong Chai & Samurai Mate every day to wake me up and it's incredible. They longer you steep it, the better it is and it's even delicious when cold!
This herbal is so darn good! I’m so glad I tried it!
This is the best tea I've ever tasted, the flavor contrast well with one another, this tea also tastes great unsweetened
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this tea, but it was surprisingly good. If you love cinnamon, you will enjoy this tea.
Really good flavor; reminds me of the cinnamon hard candies my mom loves.
It has such a nice smooth spice to it! Definately has that chai ness to it, and the earthy flavor of mate. Glad I went back to grab some more of this!
Great Tea, smooth flavor with hints of fruit and smoke. I did a quick steep at the appropriate temp to really draw out all of the flavor
Really liked the samurai mate! Refreshing, bright, and complex flavor - will definitely be ordering this one again.
I honestly was not sure what this tea was gonna taste like—It looks like there’s a lot going on with the ingredients!
But I was very pleastly surprised! You get the natural sweetness from the cinnamon, Rooibos, and Aniseed, without any of these flavors being overly strong. It actually reminds me of Christmas, so I will absolutely be putting it into a Christmas blend!
I think this has definitely been my least favorite tea I have tried. For me, the mixture of flavors is just very strange. Maybe I am not big on the anise. A pass for me.
I mixed this with Raja Oolong Chai and Masala Chai and its AMAZING! I was trying to find a similar match to a teavana blend that I loved so much. This is pretty close!
I’ve always loved this tea for how spicy it is and how it pairs with vanilla when made with milk. Definitely try this!
Wow! Tastes almost like a white monster zero. tastes wonderful, not a flavour I would expect from a herbal tea. Very high caffeine. My brother and I put our nose to the bag to see what it would smell like and could feel a jolt from just breathing in the freshly opened bag. Very strange experience haha
A little heavy on the almond for my taste, but it does mix VERY well with the Raja oolong chai, definitely becomes 5/5 when blended 1:1.
A smooth yerba mate chai. Very good taste. Hints of tropical fruit. Some notes of cinnamon and cardamom. A good caffeine boost.
What a surprising blend! I wasn’t sure what to expect but I keep coming back for another cup. I’ve enjoyed this hot, but when I recently neglected my cup I was happy to find it’s also delicious cool.
When I'm not drinking a dirty chai latte, I'm usually drinking samurai mate. It sweetens well with honey, comes with a nice caffeine kick, and tastes like summer thanks to the fruity notes combined with the chai spices! I personally like mine on the stronger side, so I steep for 7 minutes and use a bit more tea to water: about one and a half teaspoons per cup instead of just one 'heaping' teaspoon per one cup of water.
This also cold-brews well!
Samurai Mate is a great tasting tea! First time to try it.
All I can say is wow this is now one of my favorite teas. It's really spicy but it's got a great flavor and aroma. I'm usually a big fan of dark teas and this one is now a staple in my mix.
One of my all time favorites! I added a little of the Kona Pineapple tea blend to give it a little more sweet. Definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys a little spice with smooth and sweet hints.
I mix this with Masala Chai and Raja Oolong Chai (as well as the rock sugar) as a replacement for the former Samurai/Maharaja chai. All together they have a great spice and flavor, but I double the scoops because I like my teas *strong*. My coworkers love the aroma it gives off as well which is a great plus :)
Spiced and sweet scents floated throughout the room while taste was warm.
This was a really nice one! I think it's a favorite
I decided to give this tea another chance and adjust my steep time when combined with the Samurai Mate tea and I'm pleased. I miss the Teavana blend, but Adagio did good.
I have never brewed this one alone--beware although herbal it does pack a caffeine kick. Very nice brewed 50/50 with the Raja Oolong (like the old Teavana blend). Smells great.
Good hot, warm or iced with or without sugar or milk.
The complex favors of Samuria Mate just dance in your mouth. I brew a cup when I need to lift my spirits.
Really good. This tea is taking the spot usually reserved for a chai. It is one of the best teas I’ve ever had
This tea mixes very well with the Maharaja Chai, it is very similar to the Teavana tea that was so popular. I really enjoy this tea.
I love this tea mixed with 1/1 with raja oolong chai makes a delicious blend. My everyday go to!
Spicy, uplifting, and tastes amazing with honey. It's really cozy, and a nice alternative when I need a change from my morning coffee. It's hands-down my favorite tea on the site and really uplifts my day when I have it.
Mixed with an long make a great breakfast tea, enough caffeine to get the morning started
This is another of my favorite teas. This has enough caffeine that it energizes me. I have MS. I have such fatigue(I’m in secondary progressive) that I have gotten to where I was sleeping 10-12 hours a day--half of that from 10-5 on and off. I'm already on a medicine that is maxed out.
I had given up tea loose leaf and caffeine for nearly ten years.
I finally told my husband I was just going to order two or three samples because I missed my loose leaf do much
The most amazing thing happened. It helped my fatigue.
My sleep quality increased. My wake time leveled out. I am able to get up and move around and actually svke to clean some.
This tea is the perfect fit. It's a bit fruity with a sweet warm smoothness. I ass some Pyure stevia, and I drink all of my teas iced. Fill my tumbler and in an hour it's empty. I don't drain my tumbler like that but my teas. So good.
I let it go four or five minutes, getting it stronger. I have to be careful, because too long will ruin the taste. I have actually reused tge leaves for a second brewing and it still held up
Very good on it's own or mixed with the Masala Chai
Be bod and ty it with milk - it's not bad as latte!
I love mate and I enjoy most things chai-spiced, so this was an easy win for me. It has a bit too much roobios for my taste, but its still a very good blend. Minimal sweetener needed and makes a delicious afternoon iced drink. Low to moderate caffeine for me, although I do have a high tolerance.
