I love mixing it with the White Ayurvedic chai for the perfect blend of sweet and spicy.
Traditional yerba mate elegantly balances the spirit of chai spices with the essence of tropical fruit undertones.

I love mixing it with the White Ayurvedic chai for the perfect blend of sweet and spicy.
If you like chai tea, you should reLly try this one, it’s amazing!
I used to always get the Samurai Chai Mate from Teavanna. This my all-time favorite tea, for its sweet, cinnamony, and refreshing taste. After trying a sampler from Adagio Teas, I would still say that the ingredients steeped extremely well together!
not quite like the Teavana Samurai Mate but it does come close
Smooth and well balanced. Good as iced tea also. I will order again.
This tea has some big chunks, so be sure you have a decent sized infuser.
I have little experience with this kind of tea, but I was pleasantly surprised by the blend. Would buy again.
Very good tea. There is a lot of what I think is a vanilla tone which I personally don't care for.
This is a zesty, peppery mate - it definitely gives the energy hit but doesn't give me the same jitters that coffee does. I don't find myself drawn to the tea cupboard just because I'm longing for a cup of mate (they way I would for a pu erh or rooibos), but if I'm finding myself really dragging in the morning, I'll reach for this.
I make a blend using white Ayurvedic chai. And a little Rock sugar. Can sip this all day long and i do
I'm not sure what the the original this tea is supposed to be based on, however I LOVE this blend. It's so good. The tea has a wonderfully smooth and sweet taste! The aroma almost reminds me of a cherry chewing gum I used to love. I'm not normally a fan of mate but this has changed my mind.
I expect the samurai mate from adagio teas have the same flavor of the teavana. But no the tea from adagio taste awful the flavor is horrible I regret to been made this purchase hopefully they refund my money, if don't it's ok.
What a perfect blend of flavors. Unlike the black teas, I can have this on an empty stomach without upset. There's enough stimulation I can't have near bedtime, which is sad because it is a calming flavor.
A surprising and really pleasant blend of flavors!
Not exactly like the original it was based off of, but still a decent tea!
Phenomenally tasty. I liked the old Teavana one but I always thought it was too chopped up for me. But this one has much fuller leaves and pieces, so it seems to bring out the flavors more.
I mixed with white ayeurvedic and it was flawless
I didn't expect this tea to taste so sweet-- I expected it to be more spicy and chaotic with its ingredients. But the parts amount to a refined and energizing cup that's great for mornings, if you want to skip black tea.
This tea is pretty good. It almost smells like maraschino cherries before you brew it but tastes nothing like that.
The leaves smelled a little off putting, and I really wasn't sure this one was going to taste any good. The tea itself actually tasted fine, but the ginger kind of overpowered the other flavors for me.
Wow! This is amazing. Fruity, spicy and a bit of a kick with caffeine. Nice way to wake up in the morning.
This is probably the best thing I have ever tasted! By far superior to all other teas!!! It's soft, yet flavorful. This is my favorite and I highly recommend it!
Love the smell and flavor of this tea. It's kind of fruity and smooth. Not spicy
Tasty and energizing - we made this iced at the cafe and enjoyed it
This is some good stuff! The spice and fruit goes suprisingly well together. I used this to give myself a kick during a terrible cold.
I had high expectations for this tea, but it fell flat in my opinion. The aurora is outstanding, but when you drink it the natural almond flavor over powers the other flavors. It did not taste balanced to me.
Great tea! I like blend this tea with Raja Oolong Chai for the best combination blend. ^_^
Very good as a hot tea. Works well as a loose tea in my perfect cup of tea maker
Love this iced, steeped overnight. Lovely blend of spices and fruit.
My absolute favorite by Adagio Teas! The spices and yerba mate are well rounded and complement each other. Nothing else should be added to this tea, on its own it is incredibly satisfying, uplifting, warming and energizing. I drink it on saturday mornings to give me the kick I need to complete all house chores fast and efficiently.
Nice light flavor add more tea for a stronger cup of tea
I mix it with White Ayurvedic White. It's wonderful!
To say that I’m not a huge fan of “spiced” teas, this one is pret-ty perfectly balanced. I certainly drank the whole sample! The energy I got from it wasn’t too overbearing, either. Now if only Adagio would make more with just fruit flavors...
If you enjoy Teavana then you will for sure like this tea! It has the chai profile but with an extra fruity flavor mixed in. I love to add a tsp if cinnamon black tea when I want extra spice.
Samurai Mate is NOT a sunbstitute for Samurai Chai Matè. It is MUCH sweeter and blending it with the raja oolong chai WILL NOT replicate the Maharaja Chai Oolong / Samura Chai Matè blend. It’s a waste of money :(
Absolutely perfect blended with the Raja Oolong Chai. I wish I never heard of Teavana and came straight to Adagio. It is SO MUCH BETTER. It was scary reading similar reviews on here. 'Better is not the same' is what I was thinking. However it is the same, the exact same flavors but much more powerful.
A whole bunch of us compared the Teavana Maharaja Samurai Chai blend with Adagio's Samurai Mate/Raja Oolong Chai blend. The most pivotal comment made really encapsulated what I felt:
Co-worker Sipping Adagio: 'I always put sugar or honey in my tea, this Adagio stuff doesn't even need that.
Co-worker Sipping Teavana: '*grimace* this one absolutely needs sugar'
All of us had half drunk cups of Teavana at the end of the day but the Adagio was sucked dry less than 15 minutes later.
This is a unique tea. Its floral and fruity notes pair well with the spicy chai taste. A great tea for the mid-morning slump.
This is actually tasty, but the lemongrass seems a bit out of place. That said, it has been fun to explore mate teas. Yay for sample bags.
I wanted to like this one, I really did...but there s just too strong of a spice bite that makes me think black pepper the whole time I m drinking it.
I brewed a little longer and used a little more as at first it was a little weak for me. After adding a touch more tea than called for it really flavored up.
My husband really likes this tea. Not quite my favorite, but I didn't buy it for me!
Although this does not taste much like the Teavana Samurai Mate, which is how I found it, it is now one of my favorite teas. It has a strong berry overtone but without being too sweet. I would recommend this to anyone that typically likes herbal teas but that wants something a bit stronger. Also to anyone that likes regular tea but wants to try something a little more light a different from the standard black or green tea.
I really like the idea of this tea however the papaya flavoring just really takes over here and is a bit too much for me
My partner loves this tea. We often drink this in late morning to keep us going throughout the day. Delicious, complex flavor!
Tried this as it was close to the teavana tea of the same name. I like this one better. It has more of a cinnamon kick that teavanas did.
This has a sweet and spicey taste to it and has become one of my favorite teas. The only thing is it has a slightly weird after taste I can't quite describe that seems to be worse when I sweeten it.
This is an obvious attempt to copy the Teavana Samurai Chai Maté...and the flavor is just not as good. I had high hopes, but the flavor falls flat. Not enough spice!
I like this tea a lot in combination with raja oolong tea and white Ayurvedic chai.
So good! I actually liked this better than the more well known versions. It s actually really good as a latte.
tasty when mixed with Chai oolong or Fiery cinnamon tea
