This may be my favorite tea! I loved the blending of these different flavors.
Traditional yerba mate elegantly balances the spirit of chai spices with the essence of tropical fruit undertones.

This may be my favorite tea! I loved the blending of these different flavors.
Excellent breakfast tea. All the flavors blend together great. Perfect touch of chai. Just wish it had more caffeine!
Very nice combination of different flavors I really enjoyed this one.
I love this tea blended with the White Ayurvedic Chai. It was one of my all-time favorite blends from Teavana, and I'm just happy I can have it again.
Easily my favorite, has a nice spicy taste that sticks around for a bit.
When mixed with the Raja it is in fact very similar to the Teavana blend. I would argue that it is MORE delicious. The flavor is richer and fuller
I like the complexity, but turns out I just don’t like the warmer profile.
This tea is incredibly balanced. Nothing is fighting the other. The spices blend together so well, and it's rounded out by a slight fruity sweetness. It's good on it's own, but would also be could with milk and/or honey.
I love that it's got a good spice and a bit of fruit. I don't like completely fruity teas so this was perfect.
This actually made both a really nice hot tea and a fantastic iced tea. I enjoyed the way it tasted quite a bit! It wasn't too spiced, had nice cinnamon undertones, and was very refreshing! I would definitely recommend it!
For iced tea, I use 6 tbsp of loose tea per gallon. I reuse empty gallon-sized pickle jars by adding the loose tea and 2/3C sugar to the jar, then pouring in hot water until the jar is about half full. Let it sit until the jar is only a little warm to the touch, then strain into a gallon jug. Add cold water until the jug is almost full, with about 1 inch remaining unfilled from the top. I promise you, the resulting iced tea is both addicting and delicious!
Comparing to the original, it’s pretty much the same. This one I found to be spicier, and less of a sweet taste and fragrance.
I've never tasted a tea with so many ingredients, nor a tea where so many ingredients blend together so well! Typically, quantity decreases quality, but this is certainly not the case for Samurai Mate. Cinnamon and ginger sizzle on the tip of the tongue, followed by a flood of smooth lemongrass mingled with green roobios. Fruity mango, papaya, and pineapple round out the feel-good, energizing sip with a sweet tang. So glad I took a chance on this tea! Don't miss it.
I love the flavor of this tea. It’s fresh and strong, but doesn’t leave a harsh aftertaste.
Very mellow blend, considering what's in it. Only a hint of spiciness on the back-end.
This one isn't bad. At first the conflicting flavors turned me off, but it really grew on my over time. This has a very spicy taste to it.
Where to begin? This tea has so much going on. First I noticed notes of almond, followed by essence of tropical fruits and then robust spices, which linger long after the last sip. Yum!
I was extremely surprised when I opened the package! I expected it to smell more earthy and, well, more like mate, only to get a whiff of sweet and then a slam of spice. A co-worker asked, 'Will it taste like it smelled?' I can now definitively say yes, yes it does! Does it make me feel like a samurai? Mmm, no. Am I ready to do battle with my day? A lot more than I was a couple of sips ago!
Love this tea as well as all my others I have tried !
I love this tea! This was a replacement for the Teavana brand and did not disappoint. I pair it with the White Ayurvedic Chai and it is very tasty.
I love mixing this with my raja oolong. chai. It is delicious by itself as well
A very nice tea, I really enjoyed it!! Maybe a little to much ginger
The aroma of this tea is just amazing, I love smelling it in my cup for a great wake up call in the morning. I even have a cup if I am feeling sluggish in the afternoon and it does the trick perfectly. I have not been overly disappointed with any tea yet. Deserves every single one of the 5 stars!
Great spicy flavor and it's amazing when you blend it with Ayurvedic White Chai.
This tea isn't bad, but it personally didn't impress me too much.
Delicious morning wake up tea, I mix with white Ayurvedic and a spoon of honey, mmmm
Love the name! Love the flavor! Enjoy this while delving into a new book.
I buy this to make the Teavanna blend I miss so much. (:
This is a comforting tea for me. Always have a cup in the morning when I’m overwhelmed with the amount of email came in from work. Lol
We combine this with the Raja Oolong Chai to do an old Teavana favorite. It is just as good and a favorite of ours. I've already reordered some more. We combine them 1:1 and only steep for 5 min. My wife doesn't like it too strong. YMMV.
Great fruity spiced flavor. This is by far a great choice for morning wake up.
Tasty, warm, zingy...love it! I usually enjoy with a little sweetener. This is a morning favorite.
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I love the way it smells and it's not bad per say, just not what I was expecting.
My husband had never had yerba mate, so I was happy to share this with him. I really like the flavor; it feels refreshing. He liked it as well, and thought it tasted differently than anything he'd had before.
Bought this to replace my Teavana Samurai Chai Mate tea. Almost an exact match in flavor. Will definitely buy again.
A kick in the mouth in a good way! So much flavor packed into one tea. Definitely recommend
Probably one of my favorite teas, we continually order it.
A delicious mate-based chai with bonus fruity notes.
I love the tea, there is just something about the smell I’m not sure about when comparing it to when teavana had samurai mate. I mixed it with raja oolong chai and overall it’s very good together. A little bit too fruity but next time I will use a bit less of the samurai mate and more if the raja chai. Great tea!
This one is interesting. It's got a lot going on with a strong citrus note with a good amount of underlying sweetness from all of the fruit. There's also a slight spiciness to it but it's definitely fruit forward. Overall something I wouldn't drink everyday but it's a good chance of pace from what I usually drink.
LOVE this stuff when mixed with the raja Oolong, it is one of my favorite blends.
I got a sample size to try it, and I absolutely LOVE it! Such a great taste. I will definitely be ordering a larger size now!
Sweet and fresh tasting, very good. Similar to Teavana's samurai chai, but a bit more 'mate,' & slightly sweeter.
I absolutely loved the Maharaja Chai Oolong & Samurai Chai Mate from Teevana. It was suggested by Adagio that I mix this with the Raja Oolong Chai & it's a VERY close match! So happy to have tried this. Thanks for the suggestion Adagio! :)
Great, cinnamon nose. Flavor is somewhat disappointing. I expected more from it.
This tea is so smooth but with amazing rich flavor. I mix it with the OolongI literally drink this tea every single day and is my go to drink (other than water).
Mellow and nice for a winter afternoon this tea a real favorite
Not buying again. The combination doesn't work for me.
I enjoy this tea. It’s has a mild ‘spice’ taste to it that isn’t overwhelming
Wasn't sure what to expect but this tea is absolutely delicious! It has so much flavor to it!
Teavana's Samurai Chai Mate has been my longstanding favorite for several years, and this is a very, very, very close (if not exact) replica. Very happy!
