Almost a copy of Teavana's version. Slightly off, lighter.

This is one of my staple teas, I always have some on hand. I mix it with the Raja oolong chai for a perfect blend of the Samaurai Chai that Teavana had before they went down. It's definitely my favorite chai blend!

Great flavor. Recommend mixing with raja oolong chai

Mixed this half and half with Masala Chai and it is great.

I found this tea rather unpleasant. It was my first experience with yerba mate, so maybe I m not a fan of the base, but I thought it was too busy overall.

I got this in a sample and thought it would just be the weirdest thing. I was right, but in a good way. It's spicy and fruity, but neither flavor over powers the other. It's such a good balance that it becomes some new flavor I cannot name. Even as it cools off it keeps changing into such neat flavors. I highly reccomend this tea if you're looking for something different.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It is almost too fruity for my tastes but it makes a good iced tea.

Decided to cold brew and it’s such a refreshing beverage!

i wish the mate was a bit stronger, but it is a lovely , strong morning chai.

I highly recommend this blend. The sweet and spiced flavors go so well together.

Incredibly tasty and not over-powering. Perfect little pick up for the later morning/early afternoon.

Nice and gingery! A pleasant warming beverage, whether hot or cold-brewed — but remember that herbal doesn’t mean caffeine-free, so maybe not a great drink for right before bed. *coughcough*

This is a tea that I find my self going to a lot. I love the blend of flavors and the smell of the ingredients is simply delightful. I will be forever buying this one.

I'm not familiar with the Teavana flavor so I can't compare there, but I will say that this is absolutely delicious. Sweet with a little bit of heat from the cinnamon. I add some brown sugar to it as well.

This was an ok tea. It was a little too woodsy for me.

My go to tea, have been drinking this for years, always comes fresh.

This one has a very interesting flavor profile. Love the tropical, yet earthy flavor along with the flavor of the mate. Also great over ice!

it smells positively divine but doesn't taste quite as good. the flavor is a bit more delicate than I anticipated but it's delicious nonetheless. it leaves a nice cinnamony chai taste in your mouth after every sip c:

★★★★☆

Very nice, smooth blend in my opinion. The spice could be overwhelming, but the nice sweet fruit notes really help round it out. In my opinion it is just the right mix of "tropical" and spice, making it a good tea for year round.
My one complaint is that the fruit aspect of it tastes very "tropical" almost like what you would expect from a punch out soda labeled as such. It's not a bad thing, but if things that taste "tropical" aren't for you chances are this tea, despite the spice, won't do it for you.
However, if you want a tea blend that is more mild than a chai, but still loaded with spice, this is a great one to go for.

If you enjoy green tea this is very nice spicy tea.

This was a very good mate chai. I did not notice the 'undertones' from the description, but I still enjoyed it very much.

I really liked it! My first time to try yerba mate and it definitely won't be my last. The blend was pleasant, complex, rich, fruity, earthy & organic, in all the best possible ways. Felt like a gentle hug on a cool day

Loved it!!! Tastes great with a little bit of cream

★★★★☆

This blend has the perfect spicy aroma! When drinking, it’s not as spicy as it smelled, but that’s ok. It’s not my favorite spiced tea, but it’s a really good herbal variation. It’s very smooth with just a bit of dryness. I could definitely sniff the packet all day. Haha!

While I liked the flavor, there’s an aftertaste that doesn’t work for me.

Interesting blend, I overbrewed it a little so I got a lot of cinnamon but the chai paired well w mate

This is the first time I have tried a warm/spicy tea from Adagio. It’s really good! The smell is more powerful compared to the taste, but I can easily drink it without any sweetener. I also added a drop of Thieves oil from YL. It was a great immune support addition!

Adding this to my wishlist immediately--really good! It's light but flavorful and so well balanced. Someone else likened it to Atomic Fireballs and that's pretty accurate.

This is a tasty, full-bodied blend. It tasted like a cinnamon-based chai. I was able to get more than one steep out of the leaves.

I got this tea in the June CommuniTEA box and wasn't jazzed about trying it based on the ingredients list. But, wow, it absolutely blew my hair back! It's a full-bodied, well balanced fruity/spicy blend with a wonderful cinnamon aftertaste. It has more of an autumnal or even Christmasy flavor, but I happily drank it down in June, and I'm considering buying this one. I don't know if I've ever had a tea quite like this one before!

This tea is very good. I didn’t get a lot of the fruit since the cinnamon is a bit overpower.

So delightful! It’s subtle but has a nice spice flavor to it. I liked it iced and hot!

The dried tea gives off a wonderful aroma, reminiscent of a spiced fruit cake. Brewed, the cinnamon flavor is very strong with a fruity finish. This is an excellent tea to enjoy on a rainy morning!

I do not like cinnamon flavored tea, so I did not like this one at all (a bag of this tea was in my CommuniTea June box)

I had had the samurai mate before in the mixed portions sampler, so I already knew before I got it in today's communiTEA that I like it quite a bit. There's a lot of ingredients, but the tropical fruit flavors and the chai spices actually work really well together in this blend. Consulting the ingredient list again, I notice that there is green rooibos in this tea. After having sampled the green rooibos by itself, I know that I particularly like it, so I think that could be the base note that's holding the spice and fruit notes together. It's an enjoayble cup of the day!

While I didn't really catch the tropical fruit in this, the cinnamon taste is very good indeed - it leaves a nice warm glow that complements and enhances the mate very well!

This tea was a surprise. Not being a fan of mate blends, I was prepared to really dislike this tea. It is not something I would purchase but as the tea cooled the cinnamon took over and then receded. A roller coaster of cinnamon romping with the other spices. I don’t use honey, sugar or cream/milk. If you do these might compliment this blend well.

I recieved a sample packet of this tea that Adagio kindly provided me in a box for a week long 'CommuniTEA' trial. This is the third sample of the week. First, I have to say that I am not much of a fan of herbal tea, and yesterday's sample tea didn't do much to change my mind on that. After sampling 'Samurai Mate', however, I feel I may have to reconsider. I'm not sure if it's because this is a mate blend (I don't believe I have tried Yerba Mate in a tea before this), or what, but I really do love this blend. Its light and spicy, but the spiciness isnt too strong. This is a perfect morning tea - it warmed me all over and woke me right up and I love the flavor with and with out added honey (and maybe even a bit of lemon?). The flavor isn't so bold it's overwhelming, but it does have a bit of a kick that really helps you start your day. I don't know if I would try this iced, but it's great hot. The spiciness might also help if youre feeling under the weather (reminds me of the times I've gotten 'hot and sour soup' to help clear up congestion and the soreness of my throat while I was sick). I'll admit that I was a bit worried about trying another herbal tea (especially so soon after yesterday's sample), but I am so glad that I did! I will most likely be purchasing some of this in the future.

Really not my thing, I don't care for the spice and fruit combo. The cinnamon is also very overpowering.

Solid tea, not particularly stand out, but a great loose leaf
