This tea really surprised me! It’s a very heavy cinnamon smell and main flavor, but there’s a distant taste of fruit at the end of a sip. Very nice sweetened. A perfect autumn tea.
Traditional yerba mate elegantly balances the spirit of chai spices with the essence of tropical fruit undertones.

This tea really surprised me! It’s a very heavy cinnamon smell and main flavor, but there’s a distant taste of fruit at the end of a sip. Very nice sweetened. A perfect autumn tea.
This is the other tea my oldest son loves. I buy it for him every Christmas, Easter and Birthday.
The taste and smell on this are other-wordly. I immediately got overwhelmed by the smell when I opened the bag (in a good way). The taste is not overwhelming though, but at the same time I still get all the notes that I got in the smell.
One of my favorite Adagio teas. Wakes me right up with its warming flavors!
A perfect replacement for Teavana's Samurai Chai. Goes well in many mixes. Super flavorfull.
This is a descent tea. I think others appreciate it more then I do.
Perfect replacement for Teavana samurai chai mate! I blend it 1:1 with raja oolong for an amazing cup.
This is my go-to morning tea. The Mate supplies a boost for the day and the blend of traditional chai and fruit is perfect all year round. The aroma and taste are hearty and new drinkers should be ready for it.
Nice pick-me-up in the middle of the day without a huge caffeine hit
Mixed with Masala Chai, this is an absolute treat and is caffeinated!
Bought this to try and recreate my favorite tea from back when Teavanna was around which was a combination of the Maharaja Oolong and the Samurai Mate Chai. Upon looking at the ingredients i notice that this is extremely close to the Teavanna minus 1 minor change. but still an amazing tea and i will most definitely buy again.
This is interesting. The smell is a bit overpowering, but the flavor is nice.
I love this tea more than I thought I would. It is so good. Highly recommend.
I use this with the raja chai and it is a better combo than the samurai chai blend from Teavana. It smells amazing and is a great morning ritial.
Very strong. Good caffeine. Too much cinnamon.
(1) The aroma is FANTASTIC. Similar to the old Teavana 'Samurai Chai Mate' but this one smells sweeter and fruitier than the old Teavana tea.
(2) Tastes more or less like it smells (which is a HUGE plus for me, I HATE it when a tea tastes nothing like it smells)
(3) Unlike the Teavana tea this is similar to, this one isn't QUITE as overpowered by cinnamon as theirs, but the cinnamon is still VERY strong. I would recommending cutting this tea 1:1 with a weaker roobis / oolong fruit tea to tamp down on the strong cinnamon flavor.
Overall, this is really good though if you are looking for a fruity/cinnamony caffeinated tea.
The flavor is almost exactly as I remember it from Teavana's blend, herbal and spicy with a bite that walks right up to the line of being unpleasant without crossing it. An excellent evening pick-me-up. One advantage this blend has over the Teavana version is a slight increase in pineapple content, which renders it very drinkable with no additional sweetener.
I ordered a free sample of this tea and I ended up buying 3 oz of it because I liked it so much. This will be on rotation going forward. It's so pleasant! It's light, yet full of flavor!
I cried when Teavana closed their stores. All of my boys bought out their stores for me so I could have their tea. This blend with Raja Oolong Chai is very close to the blend I had at Teavana without breaking the bank. I mix equal amount of Raja Oolong Chai with Samurai Mate for a nice spicy blend.
I really enjoy this mate--it's spicy and complex, and it resteeps well.
This tea is excellent, with just the right amount of spice! With a little sweetener, it tastes similar to a mulled cider. Love this tea on a cool day!
Love the chai flavor but not big on the tropical fruitiness. Still a great tea.
Teavana used to have a flavor like Samurai Mate. They did something to it and it always tasted off for some reason. Adagio's Samurai Mate is so much better ! It makes you feel so cozy when mixed with Raja Oolong Chai. This is also a delicious combination cold!
I used to drink this tea a decade ago and I’m so happy to have found it again. It mixes well with chai, but just as delicious on its own
Big fan of this tea. Samurai Chai Mate from Teavana was the tea that started me on hot tea, and it has been missed. This tea scratches that itch, and it's available iced, too.
Excellent tea! Does really well by itself, also does well with the Cinnamon Black Tea.
I think if you are a fan of spicy flavors in teas, this will suit you well! I like it but don't love it because I have to be in the mood for it unlike some of my everyday flavors that I'm always ready for. The spicy flavors in it are a little too overwhelming for me on some days (especially early in the morning), but if you are into that, this might be for you.
I like mate, and I enjoy spices very much, but my partner loves mate and this is one of his favorite blends. For me this satisfies any chai type craving I have, and I want a satisfying cup without the camellia sinensis leaf.
This tea tastes like what you'd expect. It's pretty enjoyable. The fruit doesn't over power it.
This is a delightfully unique blend of fruity and spicy flavors! Perfect any time of year. Be warned though, since it has Mate, this herbal blend DOES contain caffeine.
So good! smell brings back good memories ! Came fast!
A super easy drinking mate. I actually get relatively little mate flavour and wish there was a little more, but the spices are present in the back of the throat and pretty pleasant. Surprisingly sweet, which balances well with the spiciness. Not my first choice for a morning tea, but probably a good voice for an afternoon pick-me-up.
I enjoy this iced for an energy boost. The spiciness really makes for an interesting glass.
Fantastic mix of mate and fruit. It is slightly more fruity than Teavana, but I think it enhances the flavor. Makes for a great blend with a 1:1:1/2 ratio of samurai, masala chai, and raja oolong chai
One of my favorites! I love mixing it with the raja oolong chai and a little bit of the rock sugar.
This tea is very strong. It’s not an everyday tea (in my opinion), but it hits the spot when you need a little extra oomph.
Excellent both on its own and mixed with the White Ayurvedic Chai, which people use as a replacement for the former Teavana mix. I d say this actually improves on it. I m a little surprised at the steep temperature for mate - but flavor seemed fine.
Honestly purchased this based off of the comparison to the tea of the same name formerly from Teavana. Looking at the ingredients, I was worried it would be fruitier than I was looking for. I was right to be concerned. Not bad, but definitely too fruity to be 'my cup of tea'
For me it's cinnomony, and I really love the blends together
Strong, bold, maybe not for me,but definitely worth sampling!
This tea give me such a feeling of calm and well being. New favorite.
Enjoyed the tea very much. Good pick me up in the afternoon when I'm tired.
This was a favorite of mine at teavana and this blend is even better than theirs for a much better deal! I drink it every morning and it wakes me up without over caffeinating and starts the day with sweet cinnamon and spices. Easily my favorite blend!
It has a cough drop smell and a cough medicine feel. I bet it is good for a sore throat.
I love this tea! I tried it because I loved the Teavana Samurai Chai Mate + Maharaja Chai Ooolong blend. This is just perfect!
This also tastes identical to the Teavana samurai chai mate! My favorite so far
This is great when it's mixed with something else. In my case, I mixed it with Raja Oolong Chai and it was so good! I didn't care for it by itself but it really gives an extra pop to chai teas.
I really like the mix of spice and fruit for this one. So far I’ve only had it cold/iced, but I think It would be a fun hot drink also.
This is one of the teas I've been looking for. I regret it took me so long to just google the teavana blend I was missing which lead me to this. I'm going to copy this to my review on the Samurai Mate because these two blend together wonderfully and I'm pretty addicted to it.
So mix the White Chai 1:1 with Samurai Mate and steep it according to the Mate instructions. You get a wonderful spicy slightly fruity and bright tea. My favorite thing is how the flavor changes with subsequent steeps. One the second steep the cinnamon flavor really pops out. And on the third I get a lot more lemongrass flavor. Give it a try!
Another great Adagio tea. The lemon flavor with the cinnamon pairs nicely. It is a very refreshing and energizing tea.
Pretty solid tea, but I never find myself deciding to drink it over the other teas in my collection.
