This was my favorite out of the Mate sampler I previously purchased, so I got a larger bag. For me, this is a perfect coffee dupe. I add a little bit of the beet sugar crystals and some almond milk creamer and I am a happy lady!

My first mate. It feels like a dessert, which was pretty decadent for breakfast! I dressed it with heavy cream and 1/2 tsp of powdered erythritol. Based on other reviews I tried brewing the blend a second time and it was almost indistinguishable. Neat!

My second yerbe mate sample and I love this. I was so surprised at the overall flavor, because based in what I had read, I was expecting something moe grass like in flavor. Definitely will be trying the other blends and purchasing this again. I drank it with oat milk and used the suggestions of others to steep a few minutes in cool water first
Love this tea. Rich, balanced, mellow-almost coffee ish. Great in the afternoon when you want (ok, maybe need) coffee, but it's too late in the day for coffee. Too early for caffeine free. Good choice for mid caffeine, rich balanced flavor, a bit of a pick me up but not so much you won't be able to sleep at night.
Not something I ll keep ordering but a solid chocolate tea!

This created a very strong smelling tea, but lacked a lot of flavor. I let it steep for additional time, but it didn t change it.

This blend is very true to its description. It has a toasty, creamy hazelnut flavor with a hint of chocolate. It works wonderfully as a tea latte. Be careful, because it will turn very bitter if oversteeped.
This is my first mate. I was expecting a stronger flavor based on how it smells (ie, AMAZING). It's definitely still there, and it's really nice and light, but it's not immediate like you would expect.

I was definitely surprised with this one! I only found out about this tea through CommuniTEA and I'm happy I gave it a try. Just as others have mentioned, it mimics the taste of a hazelnut latte and it tastes so good!

This is one of my favorite teas to have first thing in the morning, I love this tea and it reminds me of a tea I used to have back in the day with Teavana, only this one is better! Most definitely a 5 star for me! I will most definitely be ordering this one again!
I got this to mix with Golden Monkey, and it works well that way. I haven’t tried it by itself yet, but I’m confident it would be good that way also. It has a nice hazelnut flavor. The site listed it as a match for Teavanna’s “Javavana Mate.” It’s somewhat similar, but it has more of a nutty flavor. (Javavana was more of a coffee/cocoa flavor.) I will probably be ordering this again, but I would like to see an actual coffee-infused mate.
Really great combination of flavors. The cocoa and nut notes aren't overpowering, and combine nicely with the Mate base. The overall sensation is light but sweet, lovely with a bit of sweetener and some milk. Will purchase again.
I liked this mate. It was rich and somewhat coffee-like, nutty and not too sweet.
Surprisingly delightful! Mate teas were new to me (thank you, CommuniTea!) but this has been my favorite one so far, with a toasty, chocolatey flavor and a strong caffeine kick. Definitely be careful to brew it cool! Mates are very easy to burn and can become quite bitter.

The toastiness of this tea is what really makes it. The flavors are really well balanced and I've been using this as my tea choice whenever I have a morning where I need some decadent comfort.
One note on brewing: I agree with other reviewers - soaking the tea before brewing makes a significant difference.

This isn't really my kind of thing, and although I wouldn't purchase it to drink again, I thought the nuttiness worked well with the toasted mate.
