★★★★★

Delicious, sweet (but not too sweet) tea with a rich flavor. This was perfect with honey, but would be wonderful alone, also.

★★★☆☆

Meh. Not as flavorful as I would have liked and maybe a little too nutty for me

Enjoyed the chocolate flavor of the tea to the very end of the cup. Only next time I’d add some cream and stevia. Great. 💗💗💗💗💗

★★★★☆

This remined me strongly of graham crackers. It had an amazing aroma and aftertaste, but the actual body of the tea lacked boldness. I think it would be perfect for a night time slow sipper, but, sadly, the caffeine content rules that out.

★★★☆☆

I was excited to try this tea after reading the list of ingredients, but I did not like its taste, even though I can't explain why.

★★★☆☆

This was not my favorite tea. It had a coco flavor. I originally tried it with out sugar, but I found the flavor a little bland. Unfortunately adding sugar made it too sweet.

★★☆☆☆

My sister would call this tea, 'Memories of Coffee'. It had a mocha flavor, but it was definitely a watered down coffee flavor. I like my coffee strong, so the watery flavor was a little off putting and I couldn't finish the cup. It has a natural sweetness to it, so I drank it without sugar.

★★★☆☆

I thought this tea was just ok. To me it kinda tasted like watered down flavored coffee

★★★★★

What a wonderful morning tea. The scent was wonderful and the kick of caffeine was just what I needed this morning. A second steep was possible and I added some rock sugar I got as a sample. Fabulous.

First time doing CommuniTEA and this was a great start. Very fragrant and had a smooth nutty flavor. Was hoping for a bit more impact after a 5 min brew but would drink again.

★★★★★

Nutty and delicious! A must have tea for the fall and winter season.

★★★★☆

The hazelnut flavor really steals the show. This tastes like a great morning cup, especially if you are a coffee drinker. I lightly sweetened and it was just right.

★★★★★

This tea is super tasty and rich, perfect with milk and sweetener!

★★★★★

I love mates and this one is a delicious Hazelnut with a hint of chocolate!

★★★★★

Rather yummy tea. Plain it’s a nice cup of nutty flavor and with the addition of a little sugar the chocolate comes forward.

★★★★★

I’m giving this 5 stars because it isn’t bad for a toasted mate. I’m not really into toasted mates though. I think it would be a good choice for coffee drinkers trying to get into tea because the toasted flavor is similar to the toasted flavor in coffee.

Enjoyed the nuttiness with a hint of chocolate. An excellent tea for a cool fall afternoon.

This was a fantastic mate! The flavors lingered after each sip and it was a perfect afternoon treat.

★★★★☆

It’s hard to be impartial about mate, I was a coffee drinker long before I got into tea and this is coffee-like enough that I’m always going to compare it to coffee. That said, I liked this a lot more than I liked the toasted mate, as the chocolate hazelnut flavors really punch up the roasty coffee vibe. I added cream to this but I wish I hadn’t, it tasted much better and more flavorful when I had it black!

★★★★☆

It's exactly what it says on the package. It's mocha, with notes of coffee and chocolate, and very nutty. Pretty strong on the nuttiness for my tastes, personally, and I wouldn't buy it again, but if you want a mocha nut tea, this will be exactly what it says it is.

★★★★★

Love the chocolaty nuttiness going on here. I added some rock sugar to mine, and it's just great.

This is absolutely wonderful. It tastes just like hazelnut coffee smells. Perfection in a cup. (3 mins @ 150°F)

Smooth, delicious, uplifting, and grounding! This mate is a nice way to start the day. I like mine blended with something with a little extra flavor (the spot sprite blend I made is my fave!) but it’s also tasty by itself.

Not a mate fan, so this tea wasn't for me. I'm not a coffee drinker, so this was too similar for my liking.

★★★★★

I love mate, i like chocolate, i like variety. I loved it, but i do like plain toasted mate better.

★★★★☆

This is as close to coffee as a coffee hater like myself will get. It tastes just like a roasted hazelnut coffee smells. Definitely a morning cup. It benefits greatly from a spoonful of sugar and a splash of almond milk, but it is decent on it’s own as well. If you like the way coffee smells, but not tastes, give this tea a try!

★★★★★

Mocha nut us the perfect description. This is delicious! Plus I love a good bit of caffeine in the morning.

★★★☆☆

I’ll be gluing the open bag for this tea to my nose. The chocolaty aroma is to die for. As for flavor… it’s tasty, but I’m not a huge fan of hazelnut, so I wouldn’t say it’s amazing. It might be better with some cream and sugar. I would drink it again if it was offered to me, but I probably wouldn’t choose it myself. Now if the scent was offered in a candle I’d be all over it!

Not a fan of this tea. It tasted burnt by itself. Adding a little sweetener tones down the burnt taste to mildly toasty, but that's it.

★★★★★

I added this tea to my wishlist after the first sip. The coco and hazelnut mix together nicely with the mate. Perfect morning pick me up!

This seemed weak even at the 5 minute brew time. The flavor was just ok.

I was glad to find this tea in my CommuniTEA box because I've tried it in blends, and have been wanting to try it on its own!  The dry aroma was amazing.  True mocha and toasted hazelnut flavor with the slight carameliness that I tend to notice in a mocha making it sort of dessert-y, against a backdrop of delicious, earthy toasted mate.  This is one of the least adulterated mates I've tried recently (though I went through a phase years ago when I drank plain mate daily, usually from a teabag, occasionally through one of my coworker's traditional gourds), and I definitely tasted notes of chicory, and the slight notes of tobacco, camphor, something sort of minty, and something almost like hay that I couldn't quite name.  I brewed it with more of a heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz cup since some of the reviewers mentioned it didn't seem strong enough, and that worked well.  I also followed Jim R's and Elizabeth R's suggestion to soak the leaves a bit before brewing. I drank 1/3 plain, 1/3 with honey, and 1/3 with honey and vanilla almond milk -- all delish!  P.S. I don't know that this is a real substitute for serious coffee drinkers, but I do find that what they say about mate providing sort of smoothed out benefits of caffeine without any jitteriness or a sudden energy crash is true for anyone interested in those benefits!

What an excellent tea to start the month of Oct. The toasted mate coupled with the chocolate makes for a decadent cup on a cold fall day...definitely will be a favorite!

When I opened the package I was sure a chocolate chip cooking was going to fall out. Not a big fan of chocolate but I could see this tea being great for curbing temptations for sweets.

★★★★☆

Not a tea I would normally drink but was a nice cup to have through the Communitea.

★★★☆☆

Not a fan of hazelnut flavoring (which tastes nothing like hazelnuts to me), so I followed Elizabeth R's advice to pre-soak it in room temp water, pour that off, then add some toasted maté. Hazelnut taste was reduced to a bearable level. Plan on pre-soaking all hazelnut flavored teas sent my way from now on. Thanks, Elizabeth!

The smell of the tea in the bag was amazing and the taste matched to boot. I love hazelnut so this teas was a sure hit for me. I added a splash of cream and sugar to make this into a creamy nutty sip.

To me, this tea reminded me of a good cocoa flavored cup of coffee. Not bad since I enjoy coffee as well as tea. With an addition of cream and sugar, it became almost like a dessert.

This blend reminds me of hazelnut mocha coffee, YUM! The flavor is pretty light certainly not strong enough on its own to satisfy a coffee drinker as a full replacement, though it does have the caffeine. Its wonderful with your prefered sweetener & cream. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA October box.

This has a hazelnut aroma with a pleasant nutty chocolate flavor. However, it is a very leafy tea and I should’ve used a better filter. Very good, though!

This would be my new favorite if I liked the taste of hazelnut. It's not for me personally but if you like hazelnut, this is absolutely for you!

The tea smelled amazing upon opening. I definitly tasted hazlenut, but not mocha. I felt the tea benefited from adding creamer.

I've not had a mate tea before. I don't think this is something I would have bought myself, the thought of chocolate in tea was just a bit odd for me. Gotta say though, I love this. For me, this cup reminds me of the holidays. A cup of hot chocolate and the smell of roasting hazelnuts brings me into a festive frame of mind.

A very pleasant chocolate hazelnut aroma was noted from my CommuniTEA packet this morning. I love mates and this one didn’t disappoint. You need to sip this one for a flavorful sip. First off, I wanted to grab a knife and spread this Nutella-tasting stuff on a piece of toast! Of course, that wasted gonna work. Chocolate flavors carried from start to finish. Multi-layered mate flavors that were noted: mild bitterness, very slight camphor/minty tastes, moderate black pepper zings, and nuttiness. The chocolate and marigold worked with each other to provide a nice smooth mouthfeel. You definitely don’t want to steep this one any higher than 160ºF, as the mate doesn’t like to be shocked. This is a multi-steeper! A second steep was done for 3 minutes, as the mate was already primed and rarin’ to go another round. It was just as flavorful as the first! Kudos to Adagio! (4/3 mins @ 150ºF, 1/8 tsp sugar)

Loved the flavors of this tea. It wasn't overwhelming or synthetic tasting -- it was full bodied and delicious. One of my new go-tos!

I usually stay away from tea that contains hazelnut because it tastes too much like coffee and I am not a coffee drinker, but this had a really nice flavor. A very nutty tea, great with milk.

*Tried with Communitea*
Smelled like hazelnut. Tastes like water; didn’t have flavor. I don’t typically gravitate towards these types of teas because I like simple brew and go. But glad I could try it.
