Yum, yum, yummity yum yum! Whoo boy, this is good. Normally I'm not a mate fan, but this changed my mind! The smoky notes with the hazelnut and chocolate are phenomenal! The flavor lingers on your tongue in a pleasant way. It's warm and hearty and perfect for your morning cup. I would sip this one again and again!

I wet the tea in the cup with 2 tablespoons of water while my water heated, then steeped with 158 degree water for 4 minutes.
This mate tea smells deep and woodsy. The taste is complex with dominating notes of chocolate with a hint of sweetness. There is a hint of mint at the finish. As it cooled the chocolate became more pronounced. I have never had mate or chicory and so I have nothing for comparison.
This tea was perfect with no additives. Not a bit of bitterness. It has a much better chocolate flavor than any other tea I have tried, and I’ve tried many chocolate teas. I could definitely see this in my regular rotation.

As a self-professed chai lover, I really enjoyed this hazelnut forward tea! I enjoyed my cup as a latte with a sprinkle of unsweetened cocoa powder and the contents of my cup disappeared quickly. Would definitely drink this one again!

The smell of hazelnut was strong when I opened my CommuniTea packet. I was hoping that the additional teas would tone down the hazelnut, but alas. I didn't taste anything except hazelnut which I truly can't stand. If you love hazelnut, I mean REALLY love hazelnut, then you'll probably love it.

Whoa! I was not expecting this kind of flavor from a cup of tea. I've had mate before, but not this blend. Reminds me more of coffee/chicory than any tea I've had. Luckily, I love coffee. This would be delicious with some cream, but I sadly don't have any at the office this morning.

The flavor was good but not as chocolate flavored as I hoped. It's a smooth tea.

As a two cup coffee drinker, this was a great replacement for today. I didn't have to put goodies (sugar and creamer) in it. It looks as dark as black coffee. Tea leaves smelled good. And there is definitely a nut taste to it. I just might buy this stuff during the summer.

What a fabulous treat! The toasty rich mate blends so well with the dark chocolate and hazelnut. Taking care to awaken the mate, then steeping at a gentler temp of 160°, you will be rewarded greatly! Add a touch of cream and sugar and the angels will sing!

Very yummy! The hazelnut and cocoa blend nicely together for a smooth taste.

Has a nice hazelnut aroma. Tastes nutty and smooth. Didn't taste any chocolate flavors. Flavor was overwhelmed by the mate, which tasted earthy and almost musty.

The smell of this tea was my favorite part, chocolaty nutty goodness. Mate always tastes like cotton to me for some reason, and brewing this tea at 150F made that cotton taste way too prominent compared to other flavors. Next, I tried burning the leaves by steeping in boiling water instead, and found a pleasant mocha taste, more chocolate nutty, less cotton. It sips like a light coffee flavor without any bitterness. As someone who doesn't like coffee and doesn't need a caffeine zing in the morning, I would definitely prefer this mix without the mate. But as a mate tea, it's one of the more palatable ones I've tried so far.

Ilove this tea! A subtle coffee and chocolate flavor. Perfect afternoon replacement for coffee.

This is an amazing tea. It's a perfect blend of buttery mocha nut, and reminds me of a tiramisu tea Teavana once had. I add it with various fruit flavors and it really goes well as a mixer or on it's own. My husband LOVES it and replaced coffee for him.

This is a very unique tea. I got it for my husband who loves both hazelnut and mocha with his coffee but I had to try it. It was OK but probably wouldn't bother buying it again.

★★★★☆

Doesn't have that nut taste I was after really, but was a good cup of tea! I am unfamiliar with mates, so that may be a factor

★★★★★

I'd never tried mate so I wasn't really sure what to expect from this. It's amazing!! I'm just starting to get into tea since learning that I have a mild sensitivity to coffee. I've never been a tea drinker, so I didn't think I would find any that I enjoyed until I stumbled on Adagio. This tea may be my new favorite!

Ok with some cream and agave but too coffee like for me

I love this tea. I steep with cold water for 4 minutes, then add the hot water and steep for another 10, with a cover on to keep the steam in

This tea is like I am eating a full bar of chocolate!!! Very rich!!

★★★★★

I brew this for fifteen minutes...might not be the correct way to do it, but it pulls out the most mocha flavor!

More nutty than chocolate, but it has that full bodied warmth that makes it a great comfort tea.

★★★★★

Finally a decent replacement for Mate Vana from Teavana. I mix 2T. of Moca Nut Mate and 2T. of Rooibos Chai. Super fun!

One of the first Adagio teas I had ever had and liked it, subtle coffee-like flavors. The very high caffeine component is too much for me though. I've never been one to feel much from caffeine but I had 3 cups of this once and I was vibrating. I usually make at least 3 cups of tea at a time usually so I can't enjoy this one as much for that reason. If you are a caffeine junky though, this is the tea for you.

★★★☆☆

Very light flavor. Didn't taste much of anything to be honest. Not for me since I like strong flavors.

Great tea time jump start my day. Full of flavor and aroma.

Comfort in a cup. Only needs a little sweetener- I use artificial because I live with diabetics, but I'd recommend your tea sugar!

Years ago I used to enjoy a roasted mate that had a chocolate flavor to it from Teavana (MateVana). When they stopped selling it I hunted for something similar, but could never find the right mix. Recently I decided to give Mocha Nut Mate a try and ordered a sample. While not 100%, I believe this tea is very close to tasting like matevana! Now, I enjoy my mornings with a cup of Mocha Nut Mate blended equally with Adagio’s Rooibos Caramel tea. For me it’s a perfect pairing! I also like my tea strong, and since I can’t “burn” either of these teas, I use boiling water and steep this blend for about 12 minutes. I find the flavor rich, tasty, and just sweet enough.

One of my favorite things about adagio tea is opening the packet and inhaling the aromas within. It's like aromatherapy. This smells exactly like hazelnut coffee to me.

This is the closest tea flavor will probably get to coffee. It's still tea, but I find with a dash of milk and brown sugar, it's a lot like how I usually make coffee. Even then, I love this plain too! It's like lighter coffee minus the bitterness.

I find tea caffiene doesnt affect my anxiety like coffee caffiene does, which motivated me to try this. I'd wanted a substitute because I had to switch to decaf coffee for mental health. Planning to double the amount of leaves I use next batch to see what that's like.

Resteep doesnt seem to carry the mocha hazelnut flavors but I liked it. I am however, a chronic over-steeper because I love strong flavors, so that's probably why.

Oh another plus is this doesnt have to be brewed as hot as other teas so quicker cooldown before drinking!

Overall, it's very very delicious, and I'm satisfied with the purchase.

I am addicted. This tastes like a treat, it's nutty, chocolatey and all in this perfect mild way. Nothing is overpowering and I can't get enough.

Deep nutty smooth Smokey-esk flavor - will order again!

This one had a wonderful, toasty hazelnut flavor that made it feel like I was drinking a nice, hot cup of Nutella tea. Loved the smell and taste.

It is really light but tastes great with honey. The chocolate flavor could have been stronger but it is also nice the way it is.

This tea has a nutty bold flavor to it. I was surprised that I actually really enjoy this tea a lot! I enjoy drinking it on days I feel I need a strong flavored tea. It does have an aftertaste, but it doesn’t bother me.

This one was just okay for me. The hazelnut flavor is a little overpouring. I did taste a hint of mocha. I usually don't sweeten my tea but I put 1 sugar rock in to counteract the earthy taste. This might be better for tea drinkers who like to use cream. I'm more of a purist.

I like this tea. It's not super memorable to me, though.

★★★★★

Read the brewing instructions! If the temp is too high, the tea will taste burnt. This is a nice substitute for coffee in the mornings-- I sometimes add some chicory coffee powder to it to make it bolder.

★★★★☆

I have been purchasing several types of tea with chocolate flavors and tones. I have enjoyed every single one Mocha Nut Mate, Chocolate Truffle, the Scorpio Tea and Honeybush Chocolate and all I can say is that they are uniquely different and all very flavorful. You can get herbal, black and Mate teas with chocolate and other blends. Get samples so you can find the one you like best.

Wasn't bad, but mixed it with almond oolong to make it better.

Yum! It has a toasty cocoa taste and is one of my faves. I fix it with sugar and oat milk and has a very creamy taste.

★★★★★

A family favorite in my house! Great for coffee lovers too.

★★★★☆

This is my go-to tea during the workday. I have a single cup of coffee in the mornings, and then a cup or two of this to hold me over until lunch. No sweetener, just a splash of oatmilk creamer, and I'm good to go. The mocha flavor is very suble, but the fragrance is lovely, and the taste is smooth.

I'm really enjoying this tea! It's the perfect pickmeup for cold winter days, when all you want to do is stay in bed but you need something sweet and caffeinated to motivate you to work from home.

A very nice, earthy flavor. The chocolate and mate balance together nicely and this could easily replace a morning coffee both in terms of caffeine level and flavor.

I always have to have this in stock. It's a bit chocolate and has a nutty finish. It smells delightful, but gets bitter if over-steeped on accident! A good afternoon pick-me-up!
