This tea is wonderful. I, unfortunately, had to give up coffee for health reasons a few months ago, but drinking the Mocha Nut Mate tastes as though you are drinking a cup of coffee. It is a delicious change!
This one is so good! It tastes straight up like hot chocolate and is super aromatic.
If you like chocolate tea, this might be for you. I'm not always a fan and this mate was a little too chocolate-y for my taste. The undertone of nut was good though.

This tea is great in blends that I’ve tried but it’s just okay by itself. I’ve heard before that chicory can be a substitute for coffee and I believe them; this tea with a “chicory-like flavor”reminds me too much of coffee. That’s great if you like coffee but not for people who don’t.
More nut flavor than it is chocolate, which is what I was more looking for in a mocha flavored blend. I'm not a fan of coffee at all either unless it's a chocolatey and sweet mocha, so this one isn't very high on my list of favorites since it's severely lacking on the notes that I wanted. If you actually like the taste of coffee then perhaps you'll have better luck with this than I did.

The fragrance prior to steeping was both nutty and like coffee. My electric kettle only heats to 212 degrees, so after reading other reviews, I tried mixing the tea first with cool water so as not to shock it. I tried several times, but could not get the tea to taste like anything other than a very weak hazelnut coffee. This may be operator (me) fault, but I did not like this tea. I can drink it but it is kind of blah.
Wow. I already loved roasted mate but I could drink this every day! I brew my mate at a lower temperature and this holds up well, is sweet and yummy.

My absolute favorite! I found this tea while searching for a blend to replace Teavana's 'Mate Vana' and it's a nice approximation. The other was a tiny bit prettier (had blue flowers in) but this satisfies a coffee addict's palate just as well.
Very nutty and toasty! At first I tried without sugar. It was alright, but with sugar it’s so decadent! I think it would be good with milk too.

Pretty good tea! It has a nutty, lightly chocolatey taste to it. The nutty flavour though is very different than adagio's hazelnut or chestnut teas, so just be aware of that. Another thing this tea's flavour reminds me of is barley tea. So if you're a fan of that, it wouldn't hurt to try this one out.
I really enjoy this tea. The toasted Mate pairs beautifully with the dark chocolate and the hazelnut flavors. I am always a little leery of flavored teas, since they often taste very artificial, but Adagio's flavors never taste fake to me. I love the level of clean, positive energy I get from Mate and drink it most mornings. It's nice to have fun flavor options to go with it.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who helped me out recently. She likes a nice cup of caffeinated tea in the afternoons. She's enjoyed this.
This a smooth, savory blend that is great for starting the morning! The toasted mate and hazelnut were stronger and lent a more savory flavor than I was expecting. Even though mocha is in the name, the chocolate isn't a frontline star. It's definitely more of a smoothing ingredient that ties the others together. Even though it was different than I expected, I was very satisfied with this blend!
I found this in the coffee lovers bundle, and used it as a crutch to get over my coffee addiction. It worked really well! It tastes great and smells good, too.

It s like an unsweetened hot chocolate, which I really enjoy because I have been losing my sweet tooth recently. I never realized that Mate should be steeped at a lower temperature, not boiling.

I remembered this being better, honestly, and bought a huge bag of it, thinking I'd drink it daily. I think my taste buds have changed...it tastes a little more artificial than I remembered. That said, this is still a great tea and worth a try if you're a chocolate lover!
This is my first mate so I have nothing to compare to that way. It has a really light chocolatey nutty flavor and the coffee drinker in me appreciates that. Since it is so relatively light, I don't think it could be viewed as a replacement per se, but it's delicious and satisfying in its own way. I like with a touch of sweetener. I think if brewed stronger, it would be fun to add a touch of milk too.
An excellent way to start my mornings! I don't get as much chocolate as I do nut from the aroma, but it's still really nice. Better warm than cold.
