I'm usually not a big fan of mate teas, but I like this one a lot! I liked the sample I bought, so now I'm buying more.
Our Brazilian toasted mate with its mellow chicory notes enhanced with the indulgent flavors of chocolate and hazelnut. Contains caffeine.

I'm usually not a big fan of mate teas, but I like this one a lot! I liked the sample I bought, so now I'm buying more.
Oh my god. I just LOVE this tea! It's very addicting to me and I could keep drinking and drinking it! But I am a mocha lover!
Not my kind of tea. Not really fond of the mate tea. However, someone else may car for the taste. Very different flavor from any other tea I have tried.
A favorite from the mate bunch. Smoky, sort of haunted by a chocolatey ghost, delicious and comforting. A go-to for when I want something a step up from coffee!
It has an aroma that encompasses everything promised with a flavor to match. No surprises here
I love this tea. It's nutty, rich, and has a great earthy, chocolate scent that has completely permeated my tea drawer. And even with as strong as it is, it's hard to oversteep it. The only thing is that I can't use a strainer with it
Still cannot figure this one out. I enjoy it, but you do have to be in the mood for a cup of this - it at times is rough on the taste buds. It does have a great mocha flavor which works pretty well with the leathery flavor of mate.
I liked this one but the textures of the mate teas are different here than what Im used to. Still taste good though.
This became a smash hit at our office because it blends so well with other darker, morning teas, and it's cost-efficient.
I love the toasty yet slight touch of chocolate smell when this brews. The taste, however, isn't as powerful as the smell which kind of sets you up to expect more when it falls short a little. Nonetheless, I'm not completely shut off by this tea, its great to sip on during those cold rainy days.
Love, love, love it! Hazelnut is hit-or-miss, and in this, it's right on. Great on its own, or with a little coconut or soy creamer and natural sweetener (stevia, agave, xylitol, sucanat, etc.)
Very nutty and a great cuppa! Definately an aquired taste though
Great flavor for an early morning tea which contains caffiene. Better than flavored coffee. The nutty flavor tastes great!
I love mates, and this one is no exception! Great nutty flavor, perfect with a dash of milk!
I don't like this as much by itself as when I blend it with honeybush orange and almond rooibos. Then it is like a delicious cup of flavored coffee, without the jitteriness I always get from the caffeine in coffee.
One of my favorite teas along with the spiced mate. I would place this tea in a category between a cup of coffee and hot chocolate. Great smell too.
My friend passed this tea on to me because she didn't like the taste of a brownie in a cup. And I said I would love a brownie in a cup! It is exactly that. So delicious!!!
This gets bitter real easy. But if you get the steep correct, it's pretty good. I've had more complex mate brews though. I'm not sure I'd buy again. Add some milk and a little sugar.
Weird flavor, does not taste like it sounds. Not really mocha and not really nutty. Had high hopes.
I think I like this tea, but it takes a lot of effort to make me love it. You have to steep at a low temp so it doesn't turn bitter, which is fine, but then I have to heat it up in the microwave because I just can't drink my tea lukewarm. And it's very nutty, which you might expect from the name of it, but still. It's chocolaty, too, but I'm not a huge chocolate fan. I added a tablespoon of dark chocolate hot chocolate mix this morning and it tastes like dark chocolate walnut brownies. I imagine there are a lot of people who would jump for a brownie in a cup, so this is the tea for them. Unfortunately, I think it isn't for me.
This is a great tea to drink as a coffe replacement. I put a small amount of sugar in just to tone down the nuttiness a little. It would be nice if a mocha mate was offered.
The absolute best... I drink this tea all day, hot or cold you can't go wrong with this one!!
This has officially replaced coffee for me. This is a great morning pick-me-up.
i use this everyday, mixed with an espresso shot, and vanilla almond milk. every. day. its slightly nutty and chocolatey.
Mmmmm...
That's pretty much all I have to say whenever I take my first sip of this tea in the morning. I haven't had a lot of experience with mate, but I'm glad this variety has been a part of it. It's like a favorite coffee house drink, without the morning coffee house crowd. The best part of waking up is mocha nut mate in your cup!
Good... mate is still very noticeable. I really wanted a tea to hide the mate flavor because I'm really just in it for the health benefits...
Maybe I'll just need to make a blend MY way..
Enjoyed this tea with chocolate syrup and milk in the morning instead of coffee. Makes for a delicious starbucks alternative.
This is a really good tea that is an alternative to coffee. I put some cream and sugar in mine and almost couldn't tell the difference. This is a lot smoother than coffee though and doesn't upset my stomach.
Wow does mocha nut mate ever smell good and this tea flavor lives up to the hype. A nice strong nutty alternative to coffee.
Who knew there would be a great coffee flavor with this tea.
Not exactly what I was expecting. Strong nutty tones, less mocha than expected. Still a decent tasting tea but nothing special
I liked this tea, it was like a toasted nut flavor, but not over bearing.
Wonderful mocha aroma, unlike green mate, the roasted version is a little bitter, but not as bitter as coffee. with some cream and sugar it can definitely substitute coffee for me.
This tea had a very powerful kick! I think its a good alternative to coffee for non-coffee drinkers if you need a good dose of caffeine. The aroma was delicious and the flavor overwhelming at first, but after my second cup the combination grew on me.
I really enjoyed this tea. It has a definite chocolate flavor, and a smokiness that does resemble coffee enough to really bring out the mocha aspect. I could taste the toastiness of the nut too. I have never had this type before, so I didn't realize that the pieces were so small. I couldn't use my standard diffuser, pieces fell through.
The tea smells great and tastes good, but I'm not sured it's better than my favorite mate -- the spiced mate tea.
First mate tea I have ever tried. Reminds me of coffee with chocolate and hazelnut notes. I am not a coffee drinker and I liked this. I would recommend it.
Amazing chocolate/hazelnut (mostly hazelnut) flavor and aroma! I'd recommend using paper filters though
I've relied on this tea a few times when I have a late night to push through and don't want the heartburn and tweaky quality coffee gives me. The chocolate hazelnut flavor complememnts the mate flavor perfectly. If you're getting one mate, it's this one.
I did not at all care for this tea. The chocolate and nut flavors were overwhelming and not good tasting, in my opinion. I will give it another try and then probably try blending a little bit with plain mate or another tea to see if I can lighten the flavor and make it so that I can drink it.
Tastes just like TeaVana's My Morning Mate, except slightly more diluted. Here I taste chocolate, hazelnut, and fig newtons. For some this will be an excellent coffee substitute, but for many this will be an acquired taste.
This was my first time trying anything like this particular tea. I would say it's aquired taste. Has a nice aroma but has a strange, lingering aftertaste (almost like an artificial sweetner.) The leaf is very fine so some of it comes through the brew basket.
I am simply not a mate person. I can appreciate the strong nutty flavor and the fact that it has plenty of caffeine, but I just don't like it.
This is my favorite morning tea! It has a nice strong flavor comparable to Matevana tea from Teavana (but considerably cheaper). For me, this tea has a slight bitter aftertaste that took some getting used to, but not enough to detract from the overall quality of the tea.
This smelled really good in the bag, but the flavor was a little too strong for me. Maybe with a little milk and sugar the flavor would be smoother, but I didn't really care for this one.
The dry tea smells absolutely wonderful and looks so pretty. I drink it w/a plop of coconut milk in it.
This was my first Mate tea and I really loved it. It was very nutty and smokey with just a hint of chocolate. It also had quite the caffeine kick. It would make a great coffee replacement.
This tea came as a complete surprise. I originally bought a sample for my husband to try and have since fallen in love with it myself. The flavors are rich, the aroma is warm, and I look forward to bringing home more.
I think this tea would be better when blended with another tea.
Tasty. Good alternative to coffee. Nutty with a hint of chocolate.
