Very pleased with this tea. Helps with chocolate cravings. Will definitely buy again.
Our Brazilian toasted mate with its mellow chicory notes enhanced with the indulgent flavors of chocolate and hazelnut. Contains caffeine.

Very pleased with this tea. Helps with chocolate cravings. Will definitely buy again.
This has been a welcome replacement to coffee for me. I recommend this to anyone who is trying to make the same swap. The flavor stands well on it's own but you are welcome to put a little of your favorite coffee creamer in it too.
Nice mate but did not brew very strong. Was hoping for more of a mocha flavor but didn't get it.
So far this is my favorite tea. It is slightly sweet and similar to coffee with a milder taste.
the mocha part of this makes this mate very tasty. I like drinking a tea that is healthy and that tastes so good.
I can taste all the nuttiness in this tea ^^ though I'm sad my activitiea bottle can not hold the tea in the infused so ill have to find another way to steep this tea. Still a good tea nonetheless though.
I love this chocolaty tea. There's nothing like settling down after dinner with this tea and a tablespoon of honey for a dessert. Best evening tea ever.
I'd been drinking a popular mate from another brand and wanted to find an adagio replacement. While it's not the same, Mocha Nut Mate has taken over the other's place in my favorites!
I got a sample of this for my wife to try, and we both love it. With just a bit of honey as a sweetener, it really reminds me of nutella, with its chocolate and hazelnut flavors. A very nice 'desert' tea after dinner.
I brewed at 160 rather than the recommended 150, because the lowest setting on my electric kettle is 160. Doesn't seem to have had any negative effect.
I was expecting a little more from this. I am going to try using more tea next time, but based on regular instructions this is just OK.
This is one of my favourites. I can't have coffee (nor do I like it either frankly), so higher caffeine is nice to have without the shakes/stomach pain I get from coffee. The chocolate and hazelnut are such a great addition, so if you are a fan of the toasted mate I would definitely recommend trying this one. I just bought the sample this time, but I think I will be buying the 16oz bag from now on.
OMG what a pleasant surprise! I really like Yerba mate teas, but this Mocha Nut is amazing! It smells wonderful! Chocolate city! And the chicory-like undertones are a favorite of mine! I drank it straight, but I bet adding a little cream to this would make it like a dessert drink! A - I recommend this one to all Mate fans!
Sometimes I really don't crave a big cup of coffee in the morning, but I want something bold and flavorful to wake up. This tea hits the spot. I really like the nutty flavor, and as will all of the Adagio teas I've tried, there is no strange or bitter aftertaste. I'm not a tea connoisseur, so the brewing aspect is always intimidating to me. I don't think I can mess up a cup of this tea!
A new favorite! A great replacement for coffee and great as a treat. Just enough caffeine for me. I also really love it mixed with a bit of chocolate chai. A very warm and inviting tea. I am definitely buying the big bag next time!
This tasted like chocolate and hazelnut! It was really good!
What a delightful surprise I got when I tried this as a sample. Wonderful flavor that carries a warmth to help me get through these cold mornings.
I love this tea for something 'coffee like' but isn't coffee. Has a bit of a nutella flavor too.
Not sure whether or not I like this... the smell is wonderful, but I haven't figured out how I like this prepared. It also makes me feel very jittery so it isn't an afternoon tea.
This is the only 'tea' I've ever had that is a reasonable alternative to coffee. Black teas are great, but they still very much have the underlying taste of the tea leaf. This particular mate is toasty in the way that coffee is, and it has a smooth hazelnut flavor. It smells great, tastes great, and is a hearty cuppa in the morning.
Did not enjoy this tea at all. It tasted artificial
This is a great take on a mate. It has the earthy undertones that you are used to with a typical mate, but also has the notes of chocolate and nut.
This is my go to tea in the morning. My day starts better when I have a great cup of mocha nut mate.
I went looking for a mate that might replace a certain mate I get from another store. This wasn't it. The 'toasted' flavor seemed closer to 'burnt'. I might try blending his with something else in the future, but by itself, it didn't quite work for me.
YUM! This tea has a very strong nutty, chocolately taste that is delicious with a touch of sugar and some creamer. It has an after-taste that is reminiscent of, but not nearly as strong as, coffee. The after-taste is very chocolatey. I brew mine at a higher temperature than is suggested to make the taste stronger to compensate for adding creamer. The caffeine content definitely wakes me up, but it doesn't make me jittery like some black teas tend to do. Coffee lovers should give this tea a try.
I'm a die hard black tea drinker so maybe mate is just 'not my cup of tea'? Very smooth, the flavors were very subtle but there's a taste I can't identify ... that must be the mate! This is ok, I'll stick with Adagio's amazing black teas from now on.
This is my favorite Adagio tea. I use coconut cream in it and it's sheer heaven!
Will like to get some more of this to really try it, taste was good and smooth.
This is now my every day tea and can not be with out it.
Taste is comparable to coffee, though not as strong. I enjoyed my first few sips, but I accidentally left the tea steeping in a filter while I was drinking it, so the last few sips didn't taste as good. I would recommend steeping about 5 minutes or so.
You really can taste the chocolate and nutty flavors of this tea. Adding just a little stevia really brings out the flavor. Like having chocolate mousse with a hazelnut topping, but without all of the calories!
Rich, with a satisfying beany heaviness -- good with or without milk.
Actually bought this as a gift for my daughter. She likes mattes. I will try it though.
Came out with kind of a weird aftertaste but I think this is because I brewed it at too high a temperature. Make sure to follow the advised 150.
different than what i would usually drink but good. for those who like a nuttier tea, would recommend
I really, really wanted to try this tea, so I did a thing I never thought I'd do: I bought teabags. Let me say that I'm certainly not sorry that I did so, because as far as unblended teas go, this is a pretty darn good one. I don't care for coffee but I don't mind a very, very small mocha-y taste if it fits, and that's what I got from this tea. Other than that, the chocolate and hazelnut and what I'm assuming is a mate taste takes the forefront. Be careful not to brew it too long or hot or else it becomes bitter. (I actually like it when it does that, then I put in some sweetener, but do be aware that it does that)
I bought this blend in teabags. Tossed one in my 16oz insulated travel cup and filled it with boiled water. After a decent steep, I removed the bag. The aroma is mindful of a coffee drink. it has a distinct scent of mocha, but it comes off more cleanly like a breakfast tea. I may change to this as my first morning drink...
This tea is a fantastic way to wake up in the morning. Chocolatey and nutty, it goes great with a splash of milk (and sugar, if you'd like).
This was pretty good - no particular flavor really stood out to me though.
Update: I've bought this tea in large quantity 3 times now. It's a favorite of mine for early mornings at the hospital.
Although I'm not usually a fan of hazelnut, this tea is delicious. The smell is amazing. One of my friends who hates tea in all forms actually enjoyed it.
Love this one, and will be buying more soon! Very nice chocolate flavor, and good energy from the caffeine in the mate!
I was looking for something to take the place of the insanely overpriced tea from Teavana. This is the perfect blend to satisfy my morning craving for a cup of coffee without the jitters from too much caffeine.
I tried this tea at my son-in-laws, it is really full-bodied. As a former coffee drinker, this tea would stand up to most coffees out there. My son-in-law prefers this to coffee.
Love this tea! It's great in the morning - while it is NOT coffee, I love Mate - and having the toasted 'arabica' notes to it helps to ease the transition for anyone trying to go for less acids in their diet.
Great caffinated tea. Smells wonderful and tastes nutty. Love it.
If you're a coffee person, this tea is definitely for you. that's the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars. Definitely has that mocha, nutty, chocolate-y flavor that coffee drinkers are used to. Be sure to definitely steep it at the 150 degree mark. It gets really undrinkably bitter otherwise.
This tea was very good. It's got a strong, smoky-ish type taste to it. It reminds me of how cigars smell. I was very surprised by that as I was expecting a more chocolatey taste
Hoping for more of a rich, dark chocolate flavor. Hazelnut kind of mellows out the chocolateness of the tea.
This is my favorite morning tea. It is an herbal tea but has caffeine. Gives me the boost I need in the morning!
I love coffee so this is a great option - mocha tea taste.
This is great as a Latte. Just heat some milk in a froth-maker, or the microwave and add to a cup of brewed tea. So good.
This tea seems like the closest you will get to drinking coffee in tea form as you can get. Good for days when I want something a little heavier like coffee.
