this is by far my favorite tea from Adagio. I tried it initially because I love coffee but can no longer drink it. It is amazing with creamer and sugar. I like it even better than coffee because of the earth undertones and smoky aftertaste.
Our Brazilian toasted mate with its mellow chicory notes enhanced with the indulgent flavors of chocolate and hazelnut. Contains caffeine.

This tea had a surprising flavor that I loved. Seldom drink caffeinated tea, but this is really good.
This smells like a nutty coffee in the pouch, and about 10x better in the cup. I loooOOOoooved the taste of this and I will definitely be buying again! I accidentally let my cup aside for too long and it chilled, but even cold this tea was perfection. A solid 5 outta 5!!!
This is really tasty. I don't normally go for flavored brews, but this blend is well rounded and each flavor compliments the other. It is a good intro to mate.
Oh mocha nut mate, where have you been all of my life?? This is a great tea. I ordered a sample, then a 3-ounce bag. I'm already out and ready to order again.
Pretty good and could replace this bad boy with my coffee.
As someone who loves chocolate and hates nuts, I was hoping for more mocha and less nut. It turned out to be a tad too nutty for me, and the small mate leaves gave it a grainy texture I didn't enjoy.
This smells like toasted marshmellows, a bit like caramel, and dark chocolate, almost like s'mores over a campfire. It tastes really good, with a strange toasted flavor, with underlying dark chocolate. This is a great tea plain, without any added sweetener. It's sweet on its own, but not too sweet.
Super great strong flavor!! Almost like coffee!!
This would be a great tea for any coffee lovers and a wonderful morning cuppa!!
This has a bit of a coffee taste due to the mocha nut but still tastes much more like tea. I can no longer drink coffee and thought this may be pretty close, but it's not nearly as strong tasting as coffee, but the taste is somewhat similar
I love the flavor of the mocha nut mate. It is a great chocolate flavor without being sickeningly sweet. My only complaint is that the mate is almost ground up making it impossible to use with most of my tea infusers.
This is delicious! Got it as a free sample and will totally be ordering more. It's rich and nutty and tastes decadent with a little cream added to it.
If you want some dank ass shit, you've come to the right place. This niggaz bouta replace my bitch ass morning coffee, fo real. When i first herd about this tea i waz like niggawaaatchutalkinbout, but naw the combination of both rich earthy FLAVA and deez coco nutz blew my mothafuckin brains right out of my mothafuckin cranial cavity. 10/10 bitch.
it was described as a morning coffee-type... but it just didn't agree with me at all. 1st time i couldn't finish it, 2nd time i dumped it. i'd just assume drink any black tea.
This one is great got a sample and am ready to keep it on auto ship.
Great stuff. If you want something with a more gentle mocha sort of flavor, something you can sip for a while as you wake up, this stuff is great.
Mocha nut mate was one of the first teas I tried from adagio teas. To this day it is my favorite herbal.
This stuff smells and tastes amazing. It's a really good alternative to a cup of coffee in the morning, it really perks you up.
This tea is absolutely delicious. The mate tea I used to love is no longer available in my grocery store. I also like spice tea so I decided to give this a try it is better.
Chocolatey and yummy, this tea is good with breakfast or dessert.
And with the second chocolate tea tried, I have learned for sure that I do not like chocolate in my tea, even with mate!
I am not a fan of this tea, it requires so much sugar for me.
Wonderful flavor and a very helpful amount of caffeine. This is going to stay in my pantry!
Love this one. It's nutty and chocolate-y, but not *really* chocolate. It's a cocoa-y vibe. Good mixed with MANY things too!
A nice smooth, rich flavored tea, great for a dessert substitute.
This is a herbal tea, so we enjoy it in the evening. Similar color and taste to coffee, rich flavor.
gives you the extra energy and boost that you're looking for
First time trying 'mate tea' and I love it! You get a nice natural flavor, and it personally reminds me of nettle. Plus, nettle reminds me of a green tea by itself that doesn't ever get bitter. If your one of those folks that likes nettle or non bitter green tea, you will love this. Its a perfect desert tea that you don't need cream and sugar with, but it would make it more deserty if you want it. A in my tea-opinion. lol :)
Unfortunately this tea was a mess to prepare. I used the personaliTEA pot that I purchased from Adagio many years ago but the tea leaves were so small that it went right through the infuser leaving me with tea filled with small tea leaves. I had to strain it with a coffee filter to catch all of the small tea leaves. As far as the flavor it was ok (not my favorite) but still drinkable. I don't think I will purchase this one again in the future.
I was very nervous about this tea but it was amazing. The taste is a light chocolate and hazelnut. It makes a great dessert tea or something to wake up to. Highly recommend
One of my favorite teas from adagio. Can't go wrong with a good chocolatey, nutty tea!!! delightful to the very last drop.
This is yummy! Even my husband says it smells like dessert. I will buy this one again.
If you're familiar with Teavana's My Morning Mate, then this tea is its twin. Smells good, but you have to have a particular kind of steeper for this one because it is super fine.
The flavor is wonderful. Nutty and chocolatey. I would drink this every day but the caffeine content is a bit strong for me.
Really, really love this tea. It's perfect for cold rainy or snowy days. The scent is absolutely heavenly and the tea has a nice (but still subtle) chocolatey flavor. One of my favorites!
I was surprised how much I really liked it - enough to buy a bigger bag. The chocolate chips in it really push it over the edge for me.
One of my friends favorite kind of tea, not what you would expect but very good.
Great tasting 'desert' tea. The only problem I found was that it was too fine for my infuser, but that was solved by brewing it in my french press instead.
I love this tea. I had to give up coffee completely for health reasons, and this really helped me through the cold turkey period. It's smooth and nutty and really good.
Really nice tea! The hints of chocolate chips really sent it over the edge
Nice tea...I use it when I need a coffee break...I like the old taste of it
I'm taking time off from coffee and needed something with a lot of flavor. This stuff fits the bill! Great cocoa flavor - and great mixed with butter if you're into that kind of thing!
I really like the flavor and fragrance of this tea. It is not as rich in mocha as I would like but I still enjoy it.
This is great when you love the smell of coffee but not necessarily the taste. You can inhale the essence of the coffee with a lightness that you get from tea.
Bought this one as a gift for my mom, and she loves it!
Ooh, I love this tea! Nutty and rich, toasty with a slight tinge of chocolate. And I can definitely see how this would be a great substitute for coffee, because it's scratching the same itch for me. Going on my 'order more ASAP' list.
I'm new to mate, but fell in love with this mocha nut. I was first put off by the included chocolate, but it really does round out a nutty, creamy flavor. My coffee-drinking husband likes it, too.
I like the chocolate flavor, but in my opinion there wasn't enough of it. It was cool seeing the tiny chocolate chips in there though. :) The 'chicory flavor' in the description is a kind of bitter tang that reminds me of coffee (not in a good way) and sticks around far too long after each swallow. And when steeped multiple times, the flavor seems to become less complex and interesting and have more of the bitter chicory flavor. So I think my main use for this tea will be with lots of milk and sugar when I need to warm up and don't mind a little bite of bitterness.
The best frothy full bodied morning wake up call around. All the flavors meld seamlessly. I followed the recommended brewing time/temp. I'm really starting to crave this in the morning with just a little bit of sugar. Don't be scared of the chocolate pieces in this, they don't over power the mocha or hazelnut taste at all to me. This cup of tea has turned a few coffee lovers in my life into tea consider-ers.
Nutty, yummy, warm goodness! This is defiantly a favorite!
