This is my first mate tea i have ever tried. I'm in love with it.
This is tied with the gingerbread tea as my favorite flavor. It has wonderful aroma and goes amazing with a little cream and sugar. Perfect on cold rainy afternoons.
I love this stuff. If you are on the fence and reading this review, just get a sample and try it out! I'm trying to stop drinking a ton of coffee, and believe it or not, this is a fantastic coffee replacement! Maybe it's the flavors of hazelnut and chocolate, but this tastes like a watery latte when I add milk-- which is bad for a latte, but great for a latte replacement! I don't even need to add sugar or milk to enjoy this beverage. Mmm. <3

This mate is yummy on all accounts. Signature mate flavor with a lovely mocha note that makes it extra fun. It has a bold flavor but still extremely smooth. Even when over steeped at too hot of a temp (there have been many times where I have accidentally left my kettle at 212 degrees, and then proceeded to steep for 5-10 minutes). Honestly, I feel like it is tasty whatever way you make it--proper temp/time or hotter temp/longer time. I would note I do use a bit more than the recommended amount because I am a fan of rich, dark tea since I like to add a splash of milk. That can be adjusted to personal preference. Also, it is lovely chilled with some milk--almost like an iced coffee.
THIS TEA NOT ONLY SMELLS AMAZING BUT TASTES LIKE DESSERT. Honestly, this is a great coffee alternative. I'm in love.

Great Flavor. Nice to have in the morning when looking for a coffee like taste. Mixes well with chocolate black tea and caramel black tea. Personally like using the temp of 180F.
This tea is a perfect blend of warm and subtle nuttiness and sweet chocolate. The mate plays nicely with the flavors, and nothing seems to overpower the others. It's a really great and delicious blend, perfect for those times when you have a sweet tooth that can't be satisfied.
I really like this mate when I need more of a pick me up than my typical green tea.
While I like the flavor overall, I wish it tasted as much like hazelnut as it smelled. On a plus side, I can't stomach caffeine and was able to drink this.

Adding cream to this makes it a perfect alternative to coffee with just a hint of mocha to go with it. The only downside is I love it so much that I drink it up way too quickly.
I really liked my first cup of this BUT by the time I was on my final cup, I was glad I only had a sample of it.
I've mostly tried fruity blends of mate, and this is going to take some getting used to for me. It's good. Full-bodied, nutty flavor that rises with the steam from a freshly brewed cup ... I've never been a coffee drinker (which is why I started drinking mate to begin with) but I can see why this could be the 'new coffee' for some people.
I must not really like mate. I was okay with the citrus mate iced in the summer, but didn't like the flavor of this at all.
I am in love with this tea. It seems to me a nice balance between a tea and a coffee. It is toasty and great with a little bit of sugar.
This was really nice, it had a kind of smoky chocolate flavor that I really enjoyed. I added a splash of chocolate cashew milk and it was perfect!
A decent substitute for morning coffee. I never find the chocolate flavor in these chocolate teas to be all that strong, but it's pretty good in this one. Very nice hazelnut aroma, too.
I grew up drinking mate and this blend is delicious new way to enjoy one of my favorite teas.
I think I love the way this smells more than anything else, but the terribly sad expression on my fiance's face when we ran out says most everything else about this tea. Needless to say we got more immediately.

For years I normally drank mocha latte's from Starbucks and elsewhere, and have moved onto teas to save money and calories! This is a good substitute for that, though obviously very different. Nice flavor and aroma.

Powerful tea! To me it smells a little like pipe tobacco, but I enjoy that! It has a nutty, earthy taste, even slightly bitter. I added a touch of cream and honey to balance it, did not hurt it. Gives you a perk of needed energy and is warming.
I should have known better when I read the description in that this contains hazelnut and I am not a huge hazelnut fan. The flavor and aroma of the hazelnut was too much for me personally.

This is my most favorite mate. It works so well to mix with other herbal or rooibos teas, especially blueberry.

I have several GI issues and this tea did not sit well with me at all. Pity, because it certainly tastes like a wonderful alternative to coffee (the reason why I bought it). I actually felt sick to the point of vomiting, but my boyfriend really enjoyed this tea. He is a coffee addict and said that he immediately felt a caffeine boost from this in a way similar to his morning coffee. Normally he does not find black teas strong enough, so this mate is the ticket for him! I prepared it according to the instructions.

I didn't expect to like this as much as I did, but it was really great. It is the middle ground between tea and coffee, but is less bitter. I enjoyed it both with and without milk, and will probably buy it again.

This tea was just not for me. I bought it to try something new, and it just happened that I didn't like it. It was nothing about the tea itself, it was just me and my preference.
A very good tea. The mate tea always manages to seep through my tea ball, and I had to strain with a cheese cloth before drinking. Had strong flavors on both accounts, and is one of my favorite mate teas. Will buy this one again.

Goo kick-in-the-pants,great mocha flavor. Comes out fine in a Keurig machine. I use two heaping teaspoons for a 6 oz travel mug.
It really does taste like cocoa pebbles. If you're not a yerba mate fan, give this one a try anyway. It will impress you, and it will be a great alternative to hot cocoa.
