This was an interesting one that I'm still not one-hundred percent sure how I feel about. I tried it while craving coffee since so many of the reviews mentioned it was a good coffee substitute. It was...almost too...something. Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what, but there was a flavor in it that was just strong enough to distract me from the rest of the tea. I can't say I particularly liked this tea, but I also can't say I didn't.
I am not always a mate fan but this one was another that was good with milk. Tasted chocolatey

Perfect jolt of caffeine for the mornings! Has a slightly chocolatey taste due to the mini chocolate chips in the tea blend. One of my favorite teas from Adagio.
Cannot rave about this enough. I have recommended this to several friends and coworkers. This is an EXCELLENT replacement for coffee for those folks who need the sugar and creamer. It s sweet, it s nutty, it drinks well on its own or with sweetener. The jolt of caffeinated energy arrives within about 20 minutes of the first sip.
I have to say I'm not a huge fan of this one, but my boyfriend is. It smells SO GOOD, but I felt that the flavor didn't match. He felt that the flavors were true to the description. Seeing as we got this so he could have a small cup in the mornings to wake him up, I suppose it's desired effect achieved.
I had never tried a mate tea before and this one was the first that I did. The chocolate and hazelnut does give it a very similar scent to a mocha latte. There was a kind of grassy, woody note that I m assuming came from the tea itself. Not unpleasant at all. Would buy again, maybe to have it instead of coffee on mornings where I m not feeling so great.

Arguably the coffee of teas, with very noticeable chocolate and hazelnut flavors. I love this with a drizzle of honey and a splash of almond milk.
This was a little... earthier than I was expecting, but it s a still a very nice tea and has a wonderful aroma! The dark chocolate notes play well off of the sweeter hazelnut and marigold flowers in my opinion, and I love having it in the morning with a little sugar in place of my usual coffee.
I think the hazelnut is a bit much for my liking here.
This is a pretty satisfying dessert type tea with out being over powering

This tea tasted a little stale. I previously had a Mocha nut mate I LOVED from a local tea store in Alberquerque. This tea has a little off taste and the mocha flavor isn't as strong as it could be.
This is a really flavourful tea. I can taste the chocolate just as much as I can smell it. It has this dark, woody flavour, which really sets this apart from the other chocolate teas I bought. I haven t tried adding sugar yet, but I m sure it ll add to the rich, toasty flavour. I m definitely buying this again soon.
I normally prefer fruity teas, but I really enjoy this mate. With the weather cooling down, it's a nice break from what I normally drink, and has a nutty taste which is complimentary and it overpowering. My boyfriend loves mate, and loved this mate as well. We were back at Adagio within 2 weeks for him to pick up another bag for work! Definitely recommend giving it a try!
Easily my favorite tea from Adagio! This is my go to tea every morning. It gives me a great boost of energy without the hard crash later on plus the chocolate hazelnut flavor is phenomenal especially with some Stevia added. I can t say enough about this phenomenal tea!
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE TEA. HANDS DOWN. This tea not only smells amazing, but the taste is phenomenal. Chocolatey and sweet, in no need of sweetner, but I do enjoy it with a tsp of agave.
Slightly more bitter than I like my roasted mate, and the other flavors tend to fade into the background, but it's a good mate at its core.
Prefect tea for the coffee drinker. If you're looking for a tea alternative to coffee, this is it! Tastes very close to a mocha latte with a little sweetened condensed milk, sweetener, or milk of choice.
Taste reminded me of hotel coffee, very comforting and a great decaf alternative to coffee. Only complaint is that the nut flavor tasted a tiny bit off.

Mocha Nut Mate is my absolute favorite! I drink it every day at work and have more when I get home! I guess you can say I'm addicted to it. My day is not complete unless I have my mocha nut mate!

I absolutely love this mate! Mate is great for people who want the caffeine of coffee without the acidity. This tea is light, but with a bold nut flavor. I use a low temperature with it and am able to get multiple steeps from it.
It tastes like dessert which is honestly all I want in life. I've had some disappointing experiences with chocolate flavors in tea, but this is wonderfully rich.
My husband used to hate tea, this is the first tea I got him to try and he loved it. It's nutty and toasty and there is a hint of chocolate floating around in there. As others have said it scratches the coffee itch quite well. It is a very fine tea though and we always end up with a lot of leftovers bits in the bottom of our cups, so be warned and maybe use a fine strainer if that sort of thing bothers you.
Aside from needing a finer mesh infuser than I have, I have no complaints about this tea. Add a little milk or creamer and a small amount of sugar, and it's the perfect morning tea for me. Smooth, rich, and flavorful. Definitely buying again.
Update: I'd forgotten how much I loved this. Good strong cup that could replace coffee for those looking for an alternative.

Very good flavor. I normally do not like a chocolatey tea, but the way this one is setup works well. It really hints at the chocolate but also has that nutty earthy quality that I enjoy in a tea.

I am not a coffee drinker or even a lover of mocha but Dreyers had a mocha ice cream that I loved and this reminds me of that. The mocha is warm and smooth and this tea is a wonderful treat!
A delicious mix of hazelnut and chocolate. The aroma when I opened the bag was heavenly. I was surprised at the low temp brew, but it makes a nice cup of tea. Burnt chocolate is no good! Sometimes I add almond or coconut milk for a bit of creaminess.

This is, by far, my most favorite tea in the pantry. Smooth, warm, nutty, or in other words, 'Coffee's hipster brother.' It's sold at a wonderful price and I plan on buying more in the not so distant future!
