Pretty good, though if you use a lighter milk or cream the bitter coffee bean taste really comes to the front. Great if you like that flavor, but if you don't, this is best with half-n-half which seems to keep it a little more neutral.
Delicious, it had a really nice, smooth taste, with strong chocolate undertones. I really, really liked this tea. I knew I liked mate but the chocolate and nutty flavors really made it for me. I know some people in the store said it was a good alternative for coffee lovers, I can understand why, it has that kind of bold cocoa-like taste that some coffees and mochas have.

I think this one tastes a little like chocolate with a bit of sugar and milk. My partner disagrees and says it's more like drinking tree bark. Discriminating tastes, I guess?

This is good, but a little flat. The hazelnut is a bit too forward for my taste. I ve started adding a bit of peppermint tea to it, which had really elevated it.
I tried Mate because I watch 'Mozart in the Jungle' and Rodrigo De Souza is a fan (he drinks it from a gourd!!).. While this blend has additional flavors, the tea itself is outstanding and really packs a caffeine punch. It's perfect on a cold morning with sweetener and a breakfast roll. I am a new fan of Mate...now I will be trying the traditional Yerba Mate.
I do like the flavor of this tea, wonderfully nutty and slightly chocolate-y. It's a bit fine so some of it came through the infuser, but not too big of a deal.
Mocha isn't usually my jam, but I found myself constantly reaching for this after I got a sample. This isn't a sweet tea, but I like it like that. There's a great smoky quality to the flavor, plus the caffeine kick of mate is always welcomed. Great tea!

This tea is so good. The smell alone is mouth watering. It s nutty, chocolaty, and when sweetened is reminiscent of brown sugar. Great any way you prepare it. Also, it is a very finely ground tea, which could be problematic for some.
This was such a delightful surprise! This has a very nice sweet flavor yet is bold enough to replace my morning cup of coffee. Would definitely recommend!

I'm not the biggest fan of mate, this tea has made me realize (never tried it before) but it does have a nice kick of caffeine and the flavor is pleasant, a little nuttier than I'd like but the mocha is a good addition.

First, let me just say that when you open this bag of tea leaves, the aroma is absolutely heavenly. That being said, I brewed my first cup at the recommended temperature of 150 degrees F and steeped it for 5 minutes. I was immensely disappointed. There was hardly any flavor to the tea! The smell of these tea leaves was so enticing that I had to try again. For my next cup, I tried using a higher temperature to coax more flavor out of the leaves (212 degrees F). It worked fairly well, but it still left me wanting more.
I finished the sample in a few days. Reminiscent of Teavana's Javana Mate.
Perfect for someone new to mate - the mocha and chocolate flavors are super light, but definitely discernible - and it pairs so well with that strong mate flavor.
I bought this for a friend whose husband is obsessed with coffee. According to her, they both loved it! She says that it tastes just like hazelnut coffee. Now I need to buy myself some...
The roasted mate makes a good substitute for coffee and the hazelnut comes through strong. The chocolate part of the 'mocha' shows up more in a sweetness than a distinct chocolate flavor. Great with a little milk.
As others have said, this is very finely ground; use a fine strainer or paper if available.
Adding this one to my favorite list. I like to put a scoop of caramel flavored tea in this one.
Not my favorite flavor, but not a bad tea, especially mixed with others.

This tea is a great morning pick me up! After trying the Yerba mate sampler, the mocha but was by far the standout for me. A little sweet with a warm nuttiness.

I tried this as part of one of Cara McGee's Hobbit blends (Tea for Travelers--go check it out). By itself, it's just as good. :) Only thing is that sometimes, with mate teas, I get a smidge bit annoyed with the tiny leaves that stick to the brim of the cup. Does anybody know how to fix that?\

This is the first 'coffee replacement' tea that I prefer over coffee! (And that's saying something for someone who has a coffee cup in her hand all day every day at work!) My New Year's resolution is to drink more tea and less coffee. This is one of the packs I'll be taking to the office with me.

I absolutely adore this tea! I found it when I came across the coffee lover s sample, and boy is that fitting. It definitely reminds me of a mocha latte flavor-with a dash of milk added to it!
I love this tea. The chocolate undertones combined with the mate make it an excellent morning or afternoon tea. The caffeine level is great. I can brew 2 good cups and a 3rd weak one.
Really like this tea. It's pretty high in caffeine, but the flavor is really delicious. Warm and nutty and perfect for a cold rainy day when you need something a bit extra.
From all the teas I tried so far, this is closest to coffee. It is mild with a nutty aroma and a hint of coffee. You need to use a bit more than black tea to get the full flavor. For me, 2 teaspoons on a large cup worked well. I also like it with a bit of cream.
Overall a good taste. Would have liked a stronger 'mocha' flavor, but still good
