I always enjoy a good cup of lemongrass and this one definitely hit the spot. I added a couple cbd honey lavender gummies in and they melted nicely to add a touch of sweetness and some lavender flavor.
Native of Southeast Asia, with delicate Meyer lemon flavor, a hint of sweet ginger and uplifting floral aroma.

Enjoyable, herbal tea. Great light, bright lemony flavor with no sugar needed.
Very pleasant tea. I do prefer it in blends, but it's pretty wonderful alone as well
I'm missing the slightly floral flavor you get with lemongrass. This just tastes like lemon to me.
Lemon grass on it's own is pretty good, but I definitely prefer it mixed into other herbal blends that adagio has to offer. I drank it 'as is' and believe it could likely be useful for cooking, etc. Brewed at 212°F for 8 minutes.
Sweet and smooth, like a lemon drop candy. This tea made for a delightful afternoon sip! Steeped at 212⁰F for 7 minutes.
I note a mild scent of citrus when I both open the CommuniTEA packet and brew it at 212 F x 7 min. I added 1/4 tsp of Monkfruit sweetener. This is the first time I have lemon grass by itself instead of in a blend. I actually note more of a lime than a lemon taste as I sip. I thoroughly enjoy this and may end up keeping this in my cupboard.
Lemon is one of my favorite scents and tastes, so I love lemongrass tea. Nice, light lemon-like taste. I always find it refreshing and relaxing!
Today’s communiTea is one of my favorites, simply lemongrass. I love, love, love so crisp and relaxing. Must confess, Lemongrass is a constant staple in my tea drawer. I enjoy it straight up or paired with ginger, and spearmint for a calming cuppa tea.

212 degrees for 10 minutes, but could also be enjoyed after 5 minutes of steeping. Herbal tea that looks like straw and can have a light straw taste as well, but usually leans toward a sort of refreshing, but sweet lemon drop flavor. Today, my sample also hinted at a surprising Fruity Pebbles sweetness! While lemongrass blends well with many teas, I do not recommend adding it to cereal.
This was a good lightly lemon tea. I don't usually sweeten my tea but it I added some honey to the tea which enhanced the flavor. I imagine I could add a bunch of different fruits and other things to this tea and it would pair nicely with it. Although, it really didn't need anything added to it.
Today's CommuniTEA packet is simply: Lemongrass. Lemony aromas are awaiting inside the packet. Steeping as an herbal blend for 7 minutes at 212ºF made a very light yellow tisane.
The aroma of limonene and some sweet grassy scents are infused into the brew and released as it's steaming hot. The flavor is light and lemony, with a bit of natural semi-sweetness. It's very smooth and not bitter at all, with a slightly cooling almost minty finish. Relaxing and pleasantly warming for a freezing cold day! Adagio's lemongrass tea looks very fresh compared to some others, so this one gets an extra point for that.

As a solo act, Lemongrass leaves a lot to be desired. When playing as part of a combo, or better yet, a symphony, lemongrass can add notes of delightful harmony, but alone this diva just plays too sharp for me!
I love lemongrass in blends but by itself it's delightful. It's a soft clean tea with a pleasant lemon flavor. I like it with a little sugar. It's not an overwhelming lemon.
Mildly lemony, mildly grassy. Mild is the operative. I wasn't sure this had changed the color of the water at all, but it was decent.
Wasn't sure what to think about this one as it is exactly what it says it is... lemongrass. No extras, nothing else present. Was pleased with the light lemony flavor, although next time I might brew it a bit longer. I typically like a more robust flavored tea, but this was a great afternoon pick-me-up on a blustery winter day.
I was surprised by how lemony this lemongrass tea tasted. It seemed fresher and more flavorful than similar teas I've tried.
I treasure Adagio's Lemongrass Ginger so I was excited to try lemongrass on its own. It definitely looks like an infuser full of hay, but that citrus smell is so enticing! I steeped for the full 10 minutes for a nice strong flavor.
It tastes lemony (duh!) but not overpoweringly so, with a natural sweetness. Each sip is smooth and refreshing. It doesn't need anything added, but a bit of honey would make the perfect pick-me-up for a sick day.
I knew lemongrass was great in blends, now I know it's delicious all by itself!
This tea was lemony and delicious. I drank it with a bit of honey.
11-17-20--Mellow and relaxing. I loved the lemon taste. The description of -soft mouthfeel- is spot on! Very interesting in a good way...going on my wishlist.
2-16-21--I enjoy having this on hand to blend with.
I enjoyed this very much. It smells wonderful and it would be delicious iced too. I added a touch of sugar to pop the fruity flavor.
I love lemongrass. I have learned that through the communiTEA this is one of my favorite herbals. This is my first time having it by its self I have usually have had it with a blend or other items. But I enjoy it just as much on its own. A little sugar and it is like drinking a lemon drop.
Lemongrass is a ray of sunshine in a cup!.
I received this sample as part of the CommuniTEA box. However, it's an unblended tea! No unbalanced blends for today, so let's get onto the review without worrying about that coloring my opinion.
Upon opening the packet, the tea is clearly cut lemongrass, with pieces ranging from about a quarter to a half-inch long and nicely dried. The smell of the lemongrass is strong and clearly lemon-y. I wasn't sure whether I'd like it or not, as I usually despise lemon in my tea, but I've enjoyed the lemongrass flavor I had earlier in the month, so I'm looking forward to see how I like just lemongrass.
I steeped the leaves for 10 minutes at 212 degree water, though the color didn't change much from 5 minutes to 10 minutes. Still, I know that I have a difficulty tasting herbal teas when I don't brew them very strong, so I opted for the full 10 minutes. The tea is a yellow tone, with a hint of green, and it smells overwhelmingly of lemon drops, one of my favorite candies and so has me quite excited.
The taste is the pure taste of lemon. There's no tartness to accompany it, and just a nice, well-rounded lemon. Honestly? It's amazing. I love it. I added a touch of sugar, since I know that sugar tends to brighten flavors, and I wanted to see how that would react. Immediately, the sugar pulls out the lemon even more strongly, creating the exact flavor of lemondrops, without any of the accompanying tartness that has me hating lemons in my tea usually.
I love this tea, and I'm honestly shocked I never thought to try it before. This is an amazing tea, and one that I could imagine would be amazing to have year-round. I'll have to buy some, and I want to try it iced eventually, to see if that will make it taste even more of lemonade than it already does. A family favorite tea, absolutely.
fascinating herbal flavor and has potential to use in cooking as well
Really love this tea, it is simple with a lovely lemon flavor that isn't bitter.
I don’t mind lemongrass in blends, but it’s not my favorite on its own. Looks like dried grass from a field and has an extremely mild flavor. Not bad by any stretch but not strong enough to really satisfy.
I expected not to like this tea. This is a pleasant surprise.
I am pleasantly surprised how delightful lemongrass is on its own! It is a bright, cheery cup of sweet, lemon deliciousness!
What a great surprise. Straight Lemongrass was amazing. Naturally sweet enough that no added sweetener was needed.
Delicious! I love lemongrass. It’s a nice accent flavor but also makes a wonderful tea.
Smooth and refreshing lemon aroma and flavor, this tea would be great hot or iced. No sweetener is necessary, just sit back and enjoy and let it soothe all your troubles. No caffeine so you can have a cup anytime.
I’ve always found lemongrass to be a bit of hit and miss in blends; by itself I give it a solid meh. It definitely feels like it’s missing something and needs a bit more oomph.
I prefer lemongrass in blends, but this is a surprisingly nice drink on its own! Bright and lemony with an almost buttery aftertaste.
Smells like lemon pledge, taste a lot better. But I think lemongrass is better as a side ingredient then being on its own.
I have never enjoyed lemongrass on it's own before. It has always been in a blend. This was a wonderful cup of lemony goodness. I was surprised it was so good! I stepped for 10 mins.
I love lemon tea so knew this was going to be a little ray of sunshine on a cold snowy day! Pleasant sip!
I adore lemongrass, although I've never had it before in a tisane. It brews lovely into a sweet lemony drink. I drank my sample straight, but I think it would be super tasty (perfect when under the weather) with some honey added to it.
Lemongrass tea is lovely and subtle on its own, but I usually keep it on hand for a citrusy addition to other teas. Tastes especially delicious with ginger if you are trying to eliminate caffeine.
Reviewing along with the CommuniTEA: I agree with many of the reviews. Nice herbaceous, lemon flavors on the nose and while sipping hot steeped cup for 5 minutes at 212° F. Great soothing and comforting cup.
For me, lemongrass is an ingredient to be used in other teas or in cooking. For my tea I am looking for a more full bodied flavor. This is not bad, but it was is also definitely not tea.
I like lemongrass blended with other teas, but have never had it on its own. I figured it would be boring and flat, but I was wrong. It was actually a nice sip, lemony and smooth. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 5 min @ 212F)
What a refreshing tisane, with a lemon aroma that fills the room. Tastes of sweet lemon, without any sweetener. Very smooth and tasty, not at all bitter or savory tasting.
Lemongrass may be my new unblended favorite. The lemon flavor was like a mild lemonade. The smell was so refreshing.
10 thumbs up for my favorite, lemongrass! I love it!
Flavor is mellow and mild. Smooth flavor. Prefer this in other blends, but nice to know what it tastes like on its own.
I love this tea, but as others have said, it really shines as a blend. Perfect with lavender.
I really love this herbal tea. Love the lemon flavor with a bit of sweetener
This tea is great medicinally. That's it. I will NOT drink this tea outside using it to get my sinuses clear and to get my stomach to stop hurting. Not happening. I'll use other tea (like a nice light oolong)
I already owned a bag of this, but had forgotten about it, so I was happy to see the reminder today! Lovely little grassy pieces with their cheerful sweet lemony scent. I brewed it up to get a beautiful yellowish tea. MMM, the taste is lovely, sweet lemon with no acidity you get from the citrus, just a lovely sweetness, creamy and soft. I have always loved teas that have lemongrass , but almost never enjoy it on it's own- so glad to have curled up with this cup today and be reminded why I love this taste so much.
I was excited to get this in my CommuniTEA packet this morning. I have a sample of it, but I've never actually ventured to try it hot and on its own. Normally, I drink it iced (love it!) or if I want to do it hot, I mix it with berry-flavored black teas, but this is actually really great. When I first opened the packet, I got the lemony/grassy smell and after steeping the leaves, I felt like I was being thrown back into my childhood because that lemon smell immediately made me think of Trix cereal.
This is a delicious tea in blends and iced, but I have to admit that I don't love it hot, if only because the flavor is a little more mild than I'd like for a lemon-flavored tea. I steeped it at 212 for 9.5 minutes. Maybe it was my choice of steeping time.
