Great for a zesty morning wake-up when I'm looking for something un-caffeinated!

★★★★★

Not too strong. Ginger flavor is just right. A great cup of comfort.

Lovely ginger tea! You might expect this tea to be very strong ginger, but that is not the case. The other ingredients balance out the ginger perfectly with a slight spice and fruity flavor. I don’t need any sweetener.

Double Ginger is a solid four-stars - good but doesn't knock my socks off. There's plenty of ginger flavor in there, but I expected it to be spicier.

Tasty and especially nice to help digestion after a big meal. Very nice spice.

Spicy, full bodied with a nice ginger zip. A perfect afternoon pick-me-up!

Absolutely love this refreshing ginger tea. When I have a migraine this is my go to tea for nausea and comfort.

I use this to make my traditional Indian chai everyday. It’s a great substitute if you don’t have fresh ginger.

Nice alternative to having to boil the ginger yourself. Mixes well with lemon and peach teas. Great for when you feel that cold coming on.

★★★★★

Spicy and strong, exactly what I was hoping for! I started out brewing it cold, but have been on a water kefir kick lately and have been using teas to flavor the brew during a second fermentation. I really liked this tea for water kefir. Ended up with a lightly carbonated ginger ale/beer flavor.

Holy heck of a punch! I love strong strong ginger — flavor wise and for my tummy. I mixed some plain rose petals into the ginger and I will definitely be re ordering. So good!

Ive made a blend using this and I simply adore it. The strong zing of ginger is more smelled then tasted but the flavor is strong enough to notice!

★★★★★

Incredible tea! Great for calming my stomach, but also just very pleasant to drink in its own right. I love the pepper!

I adore this tea. It has a bold, bright ginger flavor that's just perfect when you're a little under the weather or have an upset stomach--or any time you need an herbal pick me up. I ordered several Adagio blends that included ginger and definitely preferred this over the Lemongrass Ginger and Turmeric Bliss. I'll definitely order Double Ginger again.

★★★★★

Definitely ginger! It has a authentic ginger flavor and scent and a pleasant, warming ginger tingle. Comforting and yummy

A little more one-note than I was expecting, to be honest. Ginger is such a powerful flavor, and it took over pretty much everything, so the other flavors didn't come out.

Nothing beats a good ginger tea, except maybe a good double ginger tea!

I'm usually hit or miss with ginger but this one's a hit!!! I love the spiciness without it being overwhelming, I added honey so that may have been the difference. Very good cup!!!

Wow! This is delicious. The kick of the ginger and peppercorn are balanced so well with the sweetness of the green rooibos and subtle citrus notes. I enjoyed this with a touch of honey. This reminded me of a dark and stormy. It is one of my favorite cocktails made with ginger beer and rum. May have to try this with a nip of rum for a relaxing nightcap. Steeped 212º for 5 mins. Cheers!

This was okay - I'm not a huge ginger fan (although I will eat ginger cookies), but this just didn't ring a bell for me. For those who really enjoy ginger, this would be one to at least consider trying.

CommuniTEA review: This tea was exactly what I was expecting, heavy on the taste and aroma of ginger with a good amount of peppercorn undercurrent. Yummy and warming.

This is a good tea. The other flavors in the blend do a good job of supporting the ginger, which is definitely the star. DOUBLE ginger might be an overstatement... But that was fine by me. This tea made my tummy feel warm and happy.

Very nice ginger blend! I added a bit of cream and sugar, and it mellowed the peppercorn spice.

Ginger. A lot of ginger. I enjoyed the strong flavor and found this to be a cozy, warming tea to drink for today’s cold weather.

Very nice ginger tea. The fruit rounds out the sharpness of the ginger. I appreciate that this is caffeine free but wakes you up.

I love ginger and I love this tea. I didn't get to try it hot as I forgot about it. But warm it was very wonderful.

Great ginger flavor, but I typically am not a huge fan of ginger tea!

The ginger is front and center in this blend, as befits the double ginger name. There's other things added, but they are all secondary notes that support the primary ginger flavor that's somehow more ginger than just brewing with ginger - I've done that too, it's not as strong a taste unless you leave it steep for a long time. But somehow also not as harsh as that long brew of just ginger.

Ginger is something I completely avoid. I don't usually like the flavor or spice of ginger. It's an ingredient I never want to drink or keep around and make sure it's not on any of my flavor profile lists. It's that bad! However, I make it a daily goal to at least try a sip of every CT tea of the day. I really didn't want to like this! I was really overwhelmingly surprised when the first taste wasn't terrible. In fact, it was amazing! The spice and the ginger flavor I usually run far away from had me coming back for more until literally every drop was gone. I steeped it twice and was so happy it had some of the wonderful ginger spice kick left. I immediately added a bag to my cart for my next order. I still can't believe I like a ginger tea and I really can't believe I fell in love with a DOUBLE ginger tea. What is happening to my senses? GiNgeR really?? I must have been struck by one of Cupid's stray arrows. After all, Valentine's day is tomorrow and love is in the air. 5 min @200

What a very nice and spicy tea. Incredible taste that makes you wanting more. The double ginger is amazing, and I will get a big bag of this tea very soon. Lol

Double the ginger, double the fun! Tried this one as part of Communitea and was suprised when I had 8 peppercorns roll out of the packet. Debated removing a few but decided to go for it. The ginger flavor is strong and pepper is present but the slight citrus orange at the end of each sip balances the spice. Loved this tea hot, adored it cold and have a second steep in the fridge for tomorrow. Delish!

2022-02-13 Update: Strong ginger smells burst out of the packet. Lots of red peppercorns were visible in this sample, enough to give quite a kick! A bit stronger than last time, this blend had plenty of spicy zings from the pepper and ginger. Still good, but I'm not sure I'd want it every day.

2021-01-18 CommuniTEA Review: Opening the CommuniTEA packet released the spicy scent of ginger and peppercorns, tingling the nostrils.

Brewing at 212ºF for 5 minutes produced a pale yellow tisane. The spicy and peppery ginger flavor tickles the tongue. This tea would probably help to settle the stomach and aid digestion. Ginger zings and peppercorn spiciness are front and center and pack a punch. So much so that I couldn’t really detect any other flavors. If you like ginger beer made with real ginger, this tea will not disappoint. If you want to tone it down, try dilution or using a higher water to dry ingredient ratio when steeping. I myself am not a huge fan of super strong ginger except on occasion, so this one gets an “ok” rating from me as an everyday drinking tisane. If needed for settling a stomach this could do the trick, and would get a higher rating if considering that aspect and purpose.

i was a bit hesitant with this one, considering how strongly it smelled of ginger. i was worried it would be overpoweringly gingery, but to my surprise it was pretty good! it smelled like a warm ginger ale and im sure drinking it would help any upset stomachs just the same. i did prefer it slighly sweetened!

I love ginger! So this tea was great! Not a fan of strawberries at ALL, but thankfully there are a ton of other flavors to cover it up!

I am acquirering a taste for ginger however I didn’t like the burn it left me with. I think now it was the peppercorns, there was quite a few in my packett.

there are nice undertones in this tea, but they are a little hard to find under the spicy notes of the ginger and the peppercorns. If you have every had ginger beer you will understand what I mean by this tea has a ginger burn to it. Tasty, but not a favorite.

Double ginger is a good name for this super ginger-y blend. It’s definitely got a kick and the peppercorns add complexity to the flavor. This would be a great tea if you were feeling under the weather.

This blend is perfect for the ginger lovers out there. The spice is kicked up a notch with the addition of pepper. This one is sure to settle tummies, calm colds, and awaken the senses. Sip, sip away!

Today's CommuniTea packet is double ginger with ginger, green rooibos, red and black peppercorn, orange, marigolds, strawberries, and ginger, peach, strawberry and orange flavors. I remembered to use a finum mesh because of the rooibos and it made such a difference! My first taste was disappointing, not the full-flavored experience I was expecting. I let it cool another minute and once I got over it not tasting like what I expected it to be, I found it very enjoyable. Maybe medium spicy, rather than in-your-face as billed. This could be worth having on hand to putter with, but it’s not available for blending. 12 ounces of 209-degree water for five minutes.

I thought I over steeped this today but it was perfect. I love how well the ginger and peppercorn go together. The green rooibos and all that fruit adds a touch of sweetness. For being “double” ginger, I didn’t feel it was too strong on the ginger at all. I wish I had tried this one sooner, it is delicious and will be added to my cart for my next order. 205° for 10 minutes.
