★★☆☆☆

When I opened the sachet, I immediately smell ginger, which is softened by orange and a little bit by the peach. At taste, it's ginger with a little fruity touch (peaches). I also taste the pepper which tends to want to take up more space in the mouth. Subsequently, I notice that the peach is rather aftertaste. The strawberries are also there, but it's discreet. Finally, ginger and pepper dominate. But the more I drink it, the more red and black pepper come to cut the taste of this blend. Finally, it's not my favorite tea. This tea really got me. I drank half a cup before pulling up the communitea page. The ginger in this cup is obvious but not so strong that you cant taste the tea itself.

Ginger with soft citrus and a hint of the peppercorn. Its really good, a step up from delightful because of the ginger punch. I immediately thought of ginger ale soda.

This tea is more like quadruple ginger, or infinity ginger! This tea isn’t bad, but if the only ingredient was ginger I’d believe it. Yet it has green rooibos, red and black peppercorn (maybe I can taste that addition), and various fruits and flowers. If you love ginger, you will likely love this tea. Personally I like it to complement other flavors instead of being the predominant flavor. I didn’t add sugar or milk, brewed at least 5 minutes at 212 F.

This one was awful. The peppercorn was over powering despite removing what I could see. The ginger was strong but where were all the fruit flavors as indicated on package? The ginger stays in the back of your mouth long after you stop drinking it which in this case is not a good thing.

Ginger is the flavor of the day. Other ingredients are listed, but they do not contribute to the flavor of this tea.

Very gingery! I do like ginger so I do like this tea. Obviously strongly ginger forward with fruit undertones and a zing at the end from the ginger and the peppercorn.

My review is based on my CommuniTEA packet today. The nose is peachy-ginger. When I take a sip I get a quick flash of tropical fruit and ginger, followed by peppery bite that lingers a little on the palate with maybe a slight ginger finish. Based on the contents of my packet, for me the name is a misleading. There are several Adagio teas much stronger with ginger flavor.

Delicious, but I love ginger. Must love ginger to enjoy this tea.

Ginger is not normally my favorite, but this is a gentle ginger overlaid with orange. The peppercorn comes out as the tea cools. Altogether, a very pleasant blend.

One whiff of this tea and it was overwhelming. However, when brewed the tea was definitely gingery with a bite from the black peppercorns but I liked the flavor of the tea!

This tea was worse than sucking on a ginger root for my sinuses. I've helped put out ginger root in the produce department as my nail snagged on it and later bit my nail and it tasted sweeter than this tea

Opening my CommuniTEA packet this morning smelled like cracking open a bottle of ginger ale and I was SO here for it. I was a little disappointed that the taste was more peppery but it didn't taste terrible. On the plus side, it soothed the sore throat my sinus infection was causing so bonus points for that.

This was a delicious ginger tea with hints of fruit. It is very strong but if you like a good cup of ginger tea I think you will enjoy this.

Wow I love ginger and this is a lot even for me. Together with the peppercorn it is very close to being too much. I still enjoyed it though.

Blech. This is not for me. I like ginger. I often enjoy it in my teas. Today’s tea however has too much of something in it. The bite of the tea (maybe peppercorns) overwhelms every other flavour. Not a repeat tea for me.

I can taste the ginger but the peppercorn give a bite to the back of your throat. Not my cup of tea.

I opened my communiTEA packet this morning and smelled ginger!

When hot, the tea woke me up. Strong ginger and peppercorn zings were noted.

When hot, I was still awake. Strong ginger and peppercorn zings remained.

At the end, my skin started melting from my face. Good stuff... far outf!!! (6 mins @ 212ºF, 1/4 tsp sugar)

I did lemon to set a balance

Without cream, this tea is too spicy and would be a 2 or 3 star. Once cream is added, this is definitely much better and I love it.

Not for me. Too much ginger and the smell is overpowering.

This tea smells bright and fruity with strong ginger notes, like ginger ale with strawberries and peaches. It steeps into a cloudy bright yellow tea after 5 minutes at 212°F. The underlying flavor is quite mild with just a little fruitiness, but there is a ton of peppery spice and warm ginger that kind of overwhelms anything else. After adding 1/4 teaspoon of sugar I actually enjoyed it much more as it enhanced the peach flavor especially, and that with the ginger was a nice blend. I don’t think this is one that I would want to drink every day, but could see it being a nice pick-me-up if I’m not feeling well.

This is both soothing and packs a punch. Strong ginger flavor and peppercorns add even more kick to the backend. I loved this one and will buy it again.

Ginger lovers will dig this one. The ginger tastes authentic, not watered down or too much flavoring. The strawberry and other fruit notes take a backseat to the ginger, and none of it is too overpowering. I brewed at the suggested 212°, and after, I tossed the ginger into my pot of chicken soup I’ve got on boil. Because why not, haha.

This tea produces a result similar to those times I've lazily mixed a teaspoon of ginger powder into a cup of hot water: cloudy, spicy, nothing to write home about. I mostly taste ginger, with a bit of peppercorn in the background; all fruity flavors and green rooibos are lost on me (or maybe absent from my Communitea packet?). The tea does pack a moderate ginger punch, which invigorates, clears the sinuses, and leaves a warming taste on the palate, but this isn't going to keep me awake at night, and I would go for about double this strength if I was sick and needing a boost. It would take a full teaspoon of honey and some lemon to take the edge off the spice, if one were inclined. I'm sure this would satisfy the ginger lover, but, I would argue, so would a teaspoon of powder from the spice cabinet.

Wow, this smells just like a citrus ginger-ale while brewing but there is a lot more peppery flavor on the back end. It almost takes over. I had 7 red peppercorns in my CommuniTEA packet so I am wondering if that may be more than was intended by the blender. I am not familiar with green rooibos so I am not sure how that is affecting the flavor. Either way I am enjoying this cup of tea. I added 1/2 tsp of sweetener and a splash of half and half to see if that would tone down the spice. It does somewhat. I think if I were to order this I would pick out ~ 1/2 of the peppercorns to tone it down and balance it a little more.

I like this tea. There is definitely a kick to this tea. I added quite a bit of sugar for this one, and once I did I the fruit flavor presented itself.

This tea is great if you really like ginger and peppercorn, which I do, but not in my tea and not often. Perhaps this would be good with a sushi meal as that's my favorite time to have ginger.

Looove!! If you like Ginger Beer or Candy this is the tea for you. Husband and I both really liked it. The warmth, smell and taste of ginger without being as spicy as ginger candy. Will be getting the big bag with our next order!

This is delicious, the perfect kind of spicy I like in a ginger tea. The other major flavor I got was lemongrass, although that isn't listed as an ingredient. Nice change of pace from just plain ginger tea.

I'm surprised I like this tea because I'm not a huge fan of ginger. I got the sample size for when my stomach isn't feeling great but bought the bigger size because I really enjoyed it! It has the ginger bite without being too overpowering. If you really like ginger, you might find it underwhelming, but I think it's just spicy enough to give the tea an extra punch of flavor.

I had no idea what to expect with this one in terms of flavor, as the scent was very complex. Tasting it, I was very pleasantly surprised at the strong ginger and depth of flavor from the orange and strawberry. I need strong flavors, so this was perfect! It was wonderful with just honey, and also good with a little milk. Also, the red peppercorns look like pretty winter berries!

This is definitely a ginger tea, but I don’t know if it lives up to the expectations of double ginger. You can smell the ginger as soon as you open the bag. It’s slightly spicy and warming. It’s perfect for when you’re feeling under the weather. It’s also perfect alongside a molasses cookie.

My girlfriend is in love with acid, spicy ginger and she can hardly handle this tea at longer brew times. It is a very warming tea and delicious if you love a tea that bites back. Often we've found that 'extra' ginger wasn't really gingery, but this tea definitely is.

What an interesting and bright tea! I m not at all a fan of spicy things so I was a bit wary, but this is just the right level of spice to stimulate the taste buds! To me, it s the tea equivalent of sparkling water. Love it!

A lovely fruit and ginger tea, with enough naturally sweet notes to stand up well without sugar.

I suggest experimenting with the steep time if you don t like your first cup. It took me a few tries to find my sweet spot. For me 5 min gives a weak and watery tea, while 7 min is too long and the ginger is just too aggressive. But 6 min gets me a flavorful cup, without going overboard.
