Perfect after a medium to large meal to balance things out.

★★★☆☆

The flavor was good. There was a bunch of bits in my cup and the tea looked cloudy.

★★★★★

Wonderful strong ginger. I brew this one long and then enjoy it cold.

★★★★★

A gingery punch as advertised! I enjoy this one especially when I overindulge. Usually, ginger teas taste a bit musty for me, and I prefer to just boil so ginger root to avoid that. This tea though isn't as musty as some of the other ones I've tried so it's great for when I'm too lazy to boil ginger for a long time.

★★★★★

Strong ginger flavor, and smells great too. Recommended if you're looking for a sold ginger tea.

*After more time with it, I'm bumping it from 4 stars up to 5 stars.*

yeah it tastes like ginger, 10/10 product very good.

My boyfriend loves this tea, but I actually wish it had a bit of a stronger ginger flavor.

★★★★★

Another tea that I love to steep in milk in the evening and relax with.

★★☆☆☆

I'm reviewing this tea through CommuniTEA today.  I love ginger tea, and often add extra ginger (from Adagio's pantry section) to ginger teas I drink regularly.  The dry tea blend smelled like menthol cough drops, which I don't like, so there was a tip off about whether this tea and I would be MFEO ha.  The menthol cough drop vibe calmed once steeped.  Gingery and peppery, and reminiscent of those gin gins candies which I vaguely remember my grandparents having when I was a kid.  To me, the gingery flavor is extra earthy in this tea, which I think might be the ginger 'flavor' not the ginger pieces.  I could taste something vaguely in the distance that may have been fruit, but didn't really taste definite fruit notes.  This wasn't too gingery or peppery for my tastebuds...  I've had all of these ingredients in teas I loved, except the natural ginger flavor, so maybe it's the 'flavor' or maybe this combo just doesn't work so great for me.  Though, it grew on me a tiny bit as I drank it, especially after I added honey.  For me, this tea *required* honey to be drinkable.   I much prefer the lemongrass ginger, where (for me) honey is optional, and to which I add extra dried ginger.  I wanted to like this but for me, I could see wanting this mainly if I were very congested. This might be a better fit for a gin gins candy lover!

After reading the reviews, I decided to pick out 9 peppercorns from my CommuniTEA sample packet. The two that remained, along with the strong ginger flavor, gave me all the zip that I needed! Despite several other ingredients in this tea, ginger is definitely the predominant flavor. I steeped at 212F for 5 minutes, and sweetened with honey. Made an enjoyable cup.

Part of the January 2021 CommuniTEA box. Sweet, fruity, with a pleasant kick from the ginger and peppercorns. Unusual!

I'm surprised at how much I love this tea! The leaves smell just like ginger ale to me, and the brewed tea is so spicy - it's really delightful! The ginger and other flavors are perfect together. I don't know how green rooibos is different from red rooibos (because red rooibos tastes rancid to me) but I couldn't detect any of that in this tea.
I don't think the kids would enjoy this one, or anyone who doesn't like spicy things. But I really enjoyed it! I don't choose herbals often, but this is one I might reach for if I were choosing an herbal.

This is definitely a spicy ginger tea! The ginger is front and center, with the peppercorns biting at the end of every sip. There’s definitely some other fruity flavors in the back, but the ginger is clearly the strongest. A good caffeine free pick me up tea!

VERY ginger scent upon opening; bright yellow and full of chamomile. I passed this off to my husband to drink, who is leaviing the review, as I do NOT like ginger. He says, 'the ginger overpowers pretty much everything, eradicating the taste of the green rooibos–or anything else. Strawberries? Peach? Orange? No point putting them in here; this is a ginger tea, through and through. If you like ginger, you'll love this. But you should REALLY like ginger before you order it.'

I love ginger, but all I taste is peppercorns with a hint of ginger. I should have picked them out, but I wanted to try the tea as is. Maybe someday I will buy a sample of this to use for cooking.

★★★☆☆

My CommuniTea packet was rife with peppercorns, which I quickly dispatched. There was also plenty of green rooibos. But even with all the additional flavorants, it lived up to it's name, all I could taste was ginger. I won't fault it for what it is, but it's not for me.

This is ginger tea on steroids. I'll buy again, but mostly to clear my sinuses.

Warm ginger goodness with the peppercorns adding an extra flavor punch (in a good way).

This tea makes me want to try more green rooibos, because usually the combination of rooibos or honeybush and fruit (even with other flavors involved) goes really medicinal to me. This, however, was a delightful spicy cup that felt very well-rounded and rich. The ginger was beautifully warming, and peppercorns are one of my favorite additions to a tea.

Not being a fan of ginger or pepper, I was surprised to find myself enjoying this tea! The hint of orange was able to balance out the strong ginger flavor.

I didn't seem to have the strawberry in my Communitea packet today. However I really enjoyed this tea. When hot the ginger was the most prominent although the peppercorn was not to the missed. There was a nice peach flavor in the background. As the tea cooled the peppercorn became more prominent

For me, this tea was a bit weak but quite pleasant. My CommuniTEA packet smelled very strong of peaches with a touch of ginger and orange. I taste the ginger and a slight kick of pepper, even though I only had 2 black peppercorns and not too extreme an amount of red ones in my packet. There was a noticeable fruity, peachy taste in my first steep. Some sips were much more peppery than others. It was nice unsweetened and remained nice as it cooled to warm. I didn’t try resteeping it. Overall this was a good tea but I don’t think I’ll be buying it since many others had too many peppercorns in their sample today and I wouldn’t want more pepper taste than my sample had.

I did like this, and would drink it again... with modifications or when under the weather. In the packet I could smell ginger and fruit. Once brewed I could not discern any fruit whatsoever, and it was very pepper forward with the ginger only making an appearance on the back end. I felt like I was sipping a savory broth, which wasn't bad, just not what I'm looking for while enjoying tea. I do think I would enjoy it as-is while sick, or by picking out all the peppercorns and adding additional dried fruit. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 5 min @212F)

This tea accomplishes what it sets out to do but it’s not my favorite in the least. It’s zesty and strong and the flavor is nice but alas, not my taste.

I didn't think I would like this, but the taste has proved me wrong! It smells like it will melt away your sinuses, but it tastes delightful. I only had 3 peppercorns in my packet, which was more than enough. Not catching the fruit flavors, but overall this is a pleasant cup of tea.

This tea have a very gingery smell. The flavor was also very gingery and did not disappoint. I brewed at 212 for 5 minutes and added a little sugar to bring out the ginger flavor more.

This is a very nice, predominantly ginger cup with a little kick from the peppercorns. Didn't taste any of the fruits. Bet it would be good with honey and or lemon too. Or added to a black tea.

Ginger plus peppercorn is stimulating without caffeine. The underlying fruit flavors mellow and slightly sweeten this tisane. The green rooibos balances the bite of the ginger. Tasted as part of the Communitea.

Wow!...I opened the package, and was instantly greeted by beautiful colors and warm, spicy aromas...Brewed for five minutes, added a tsp of honey, and was instantly transported into a land of warm, sweet spiciness...it’s so energizing, you forget there’s no caffeine. I would definitely love to drink this tea again!

Double Ginger herbal infusion has a strong flavor and a distinct bite. It's decent hot on its own, and lovely with the juice of half a lemon and a splash of honey. 5 min at 212

I usually like ginger but was not a fan of this tea. The peppercorn was overwhelming. I could still taste some ginger, but the other flavors were completely overwhelmed. I tried this as a communiTEA packet; I could see at least 2 red and 1 black peppercorns in my sample.

However, I am rather sensitive to spicy food (I can’t handle spicy peppers at all!) so maybe someone who enjoys spice would be better able to taste the other flavor notes in this tea.

I am not a big fan of ginger teas, but I recommend this one. The flavor is very mild compared to other ones but still has a pleasant ginger zing and a nice aftertaste.

If you are looking for a strong ginger tea this is an excellent choice. Warming ginger with citrus overtones and a zinger of a finish from the peppercorns. Probably not something I would drink often, but is excellent for upset stomachs and when you need a bit of a pick-me-up without the caffeine. Steeped at 212F for 3 minutes.

This tea is definitely gingery. There is a long list of ingredients, including many fruit flavors that aren't apparent in the brew. The dominant flavor is ginger, spiced with peppercorns. While this tea isn't overwhelmingly spicy, it does have a kick.

This tea really has a flavor kick. It gives your tongue a little zing and the peppercorns have a bit of a spicy bite in the back of your throat. I still enjoyed the packet I got in Communitea. It has a nice flavor that's strong but not overpowering. I think I would like a little more lemon flavor to it to balance the ginger. It was nice enjoyable cup. It's good pick me up when you do't want caffeine.

As a ginger lover I've been wanting to try this tea and now I have my chance! It hits me with spicy fruit aromas right out of the packet, with the red peppercorns making a pretty and interesting looking scoop of leaves.

After a 5 minute steep, there's a cloudy golden tea ready for action. The flavor is obviously ginger heavy, but rounded out by the sweet fruits. The peppercorns leave a pleasant little zip of spice on my tongue. I don't feel the need to add sugar because it's surprisingly smooth.

This is a really well-balanced tea, despite the description alluding to an overload of ginger. I think I prefer the citrusiness of Adagio's Lemongrass Ginger, but only just. This tea would be perfect with a smidge of honey for those sick days, or for adding a little kick to an iced tea. I'll definitely be buying more to satisfy my ginger cravings!

I was really expecting to like this more than I did. I enjoy the taste of ginger, but there was something off about this tea in my opinion. Maybe a medicinal quality I didn't like.

I absolutely love Ginger tea! As I opened my communiTea, I stood there, and Inhaled such an Incredible smell Ginger, Ginger everything with orangey notes lingering about my kitchen. As all the ingredients filled my pot, it created a bright fruity picture with lots of colored peppercorns dancing around. I was so excited, until that first sip had me questioning where’d all that Ginger go? Just like that all the colorful Peppercorns decided to dominate, leaving behind not only the Ginger but all those fruit pieces I noticed dancing while it steeped. To be fair, I believe my packet was not complete so I may add this tea to my cart. Curiosity maybe? Or I am just trying to find another Ginger flavored tea to add to my tea drawer. My star reflect my sample packet today, as for the actual tea I couldn’t honestly say. (5 mins @ 212°F)

This seems like a tea that would be fun to be creative with, blending with juices or even alcohol! When hot, the ginger-pepper combo hits hard and fast, with a burning sensation that warms your mouth. As it cools, the fire goes out, leaving more of just a gingery aftertaste. My Communitea sample was very heavy in peppercorns, counting 10 of the little devils hiding. I think 3 or 4 would be plenty!

WOW! Simply WOW! What a punch in the face from a lot of ginger! This is amazing! In a weird way, it reminds me of a high quality Moscow Mule. Definitely real ginger, and not a fake flavor some sodas might have. The peppercorns, which are pretty, add a slight tingle, but most of it comes from the ginger. The fruit mostly just adds a lovely aroma, although they come through more as an aftertaste, once your tastebuds recover from the shock of the ginger. I added more Stevia than usual to this tea, which just seems appropriate. My only disappointment is that I've never had green rooibos, so I don't know what it tastes like, and I have to admit that I still don't.

This tea is just not for me. I'm not a big fan of strong ginger, and the ginger is certainly there with this. I lets hubs try it; he said that it isn't bad but can't taste any other ingredient but the ginger.
If you're someone super into ginger, this tea might be for you. The name is Double Ginger, and there is, indeed, a ton of ginger flavor.

Amazing ginger taste, and the pepper lingers on the tongue afterwards. I bet it'd make an amazing chai if I added some black tea.

For a Ginger tea this was definitely one that lived up to it's name. Could not taste the green tea, only the Ginger and a hint of the peppercorns. Steeped this CommuniTea sample for the full 5 minutes, but may follow someone else's advice and try a second steep at 3 minutes. If you love ginger you will love this tea.

This tea calls itself double ginger, and that is exactly what it delivers! Opening the packet your nose is hit immediately with the scent of ginger and pepper. In my packet I had approximately 7 pieces of black and red peppercorns, but I decided to brew it up with them in as is. After the recommended 5 minute steep I approached the first sip a little cautiously, but was rewarded with a very tasty, warm cup full of ginger taste along with the pop of pepper to wake it all up and add a touch of fire. I have been attempting to incorporate more spices into my everyday life, so this was not too spicy for me, just a pleasant warm buzz on the tongue and a bit of zing at the back of the throat! I think this would be an amazing tea to sip at when you were feeling cold, tired or sick- the warming properties would probably perk you up. This may also be good for upset stomachs, I will definitely buy a sample bag to have at my house. I even think this tea can be used as a baking tool to give some ginger flavour (if you are lacking real ginger). This herbal delivers on its name!

I love spicy teas and ginger, but this has too much pepper in it for it to be enjoyable. Would love a true double ginger tea without all of the pepper. The tea was more tolerable as it cooled down and the sweetness of my monk fruit helped balance things out and bring out the fruit. (5 mins @ 200ºF, 4 drops of raw monk fruit sweetener)

Oh this spice is nice in my life! This reminds me of a ginger tea I used to make (by double-bagging and triple steeping what we had in the cafe) at the end of the night or when I wasn’t feeling great. I love this tea!

If you like spicy ginger with a zing of peppercorn finish, this is the tea for you. Although the fruit flavor wasn't present in my Communitea sample, it may have kept this from being overwhelming. It is a surprisingly good wake-up tea without the caffeine. Sweetening a bit may bring out more of the underlying orange, peach and strawberry flavors. This cup will definitely warm your belly.

If you love the spiciness of ginger and peppercorns, this is for you! I happen to like none of those things and disliked it muchly when I opened my communitea packet. Gave 2 stars because it's not for me, but others may enjoy it.
