Sour cherries are one of my favorite fruits, and while this is not the same, it is a fair substitute. There is a very strong tartness from the hibiscus, and a very present wild cherry flavor (for me think more candy cherry flavor) - other flavors were not that present to me. It is decent hot, but really shines as an iced tea. Perfect for a warm summer day while lounging in the sun.
I love the color of this tea: It's bright, cheery, and just so fun! But it tasted like cherry cough syrup to me to be honest.
While I like this tea I would enjoy it more iced. I did steep mine with 1tsp. honey atop which brought out the cherry.
3/6/24 I have tried this several more times since my original review. I have learned to let it steep forever and I get a great cup of tea. It doesn't taste as tart or fake cherry to me . I can drink it hot or iced. Looking forward to a pitcher of this on a hot summer day.
I cold brewed this tea and then drank it iced. It is definitely on the tart side but was refreshing on a hot summer day. It tastes and smells like a cherry lollipop to me. Cherry isn't my favorite flavor. I probably wouldn't purchase it, but wouldn't turn it down either.
Delicious blend! I drank this iced on a 100 degree summer day. It was very cheerful, refreshing and tasted like cherries. I did not get the medicinal vibe from this and enjoyed it very much. I poured the tea leaves into a cotton tea bag, dropped it into my tumbler with ice and water to cold steep as I was walking out of the door. I refilled the tumbler with water throughout my day of teaching. I love how this herbal tea flavored my water all day!! Great blend Adagio!

Dewy cherry is fruity and tangy. The aroma is sweet and berry-like, and the flavor is bold and slightly tart, with a juicy clean finish. This tea is perfect to drinked iced.
Not terrible, but tastes a little too much like cough syrup flavoring. It's improved with some lemon.
The best thing about this tea is that it doesn't taste fake. It does not taste like someone heated up red kool-aid or dissolved a cherry candy in hot water. It honestly tastes of cherries and is a wonderfully refreshing mid-day cup
Cherry juice is one of my favorites. This lets me have that cherry flavor without all the juice sugars.
(Made at 92C for 10 minutes). A very good tea! I liked it, and I might order more in the future.
Ever had Cherryheads candy? That's what I smell when I open my sample pouch. Beautiful big cherries are hiding among lots of rose hips, hibiscus, and apple pieces. First steep was the beautiful magenta color I love to see from my tart teas. Definitely sweet and tart, with light cherry flavor. I really like this hot and it's a very close runner up to my favorite Berry Creme Compote. Second steep 10 min @ 212 was a pale red-violet and much less flavor. If you like tart and don't automatically think yucky medicine about anything cherry flavor, this is great.
This tisane is delightfully fruity and tart with strong cherry and hibiscus notes. Did not require sweetening
As soon as I opened the pouch I was hit with a strong aroma of cherry. After steeping the tea, the flavor of cherry was less pronounced. But there was a smidge of hibiscus flavor that I absolutely loved! I bought several samples recently, and dewy cherry was my favorite. Enough to warrant buying a full-sized bag. :)
The color is a gorgeous ruby red and the flavor is bright and somewhat tart. I found it equally delicious both hot and iced.
I loved this tea. I used stevia to sweeten it and cold brewed it in the refrigerator. Very flavorful and refreshing.
My kids like this tea (iced). It is now part of our rotation of teas that I cold steep for them with just a little bit of simple syrup to bump up the sweetness for their tastes.

We made this into an overnight iced tea and it was great. You got the cherry flavor right away. I’d highly recommend it.

I cold-brewed this for 9 hours. Strong delicious cherry flavor and a hint of acidity that is perfectly balanced. It does need a touch of sugar for me to consider it perfect for iced tea.
Good hot, phenomenal on ice. Brew it hot, then chill it so you're not diluting the strong tart berry flavor. Needs no sweetener but I may have added a bit of gin to my glass and called it a lovely evening cocktail... Just saying ..

If you like a sweet cherry flavored tea, this is the one. I do recommend a little bit of honey and it was actually better cold.
Don't expect this tea to be sweet, it is nice and tart! That is what I like about it though, the cherry flavor is just divine.

A little weak for my taste, but it is still very pleasant and refreshing. I think it is more suitable for people that do not like strong fruity flavors.

Bought for a tea party and this was everyone’s favorite! The first sip I had took me back to being a kid, and when I had a sore throat my mom would make us warm cherry jello. This was delicious. Some added milk and it made a beautiful pink color.

This tea is wonderful both hot and cold. Generally, I prefer cold brewing it overnight and it makes a delicious iced tea which needs no sweetner (although my daughter loves it with a touch of honey).
I've been buying this for 3 years now, and it's currently one of my roommates and I's favorite teas. Tart, bright, and still somehow perfect for this almost-winter we've been having. I was very happy to see it in the February Communitea. This will probably remain my favorite tea for a good long while.

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I smelled strong, medicinal aromas of cherry. I steeped the tea for 5 minutes. It tasted very tart and fruity. I think this would be great as an iced tea!
A more tart tea than I tend to enjoy. Before brewing, it smelled strongly of cherry cough syrup, but the taste after brewing is a hibiscus cherry. May be better cold brewed or with sugar.
Smelled like Ludens out of the package, but the flavor was a lovely balance of sweet and tart with no artificial taste.
UPDATED: I still love the colour and cherry flavour of this tea. I steeped for 8 minutes this time and the hibiscus was definitely more noticeable. The end product was more tart than the last time I had it, but I still didn't mind it even without sweetener. I think the shorter steep, or a lower temperature, is a better match for this one. Still haven't tried a cold steep, but I will one of these days.
I usually love Adagio's tisanes but not this one. The cherry flavor is too artificial tasting to me and it's somehow a bit floral but I don't actually mind that.
A real tart zinger! The rosehips are first in line for flavour, followed by the headlock of a more candy tasting cherry. It's not a real/authentic cherry flavour as the tartness overtakes it and it has that lightly artificial taste to it. With some light agave, it lightened up and was a little better. Might be worth coldbrewing to see if that helps settle the taste.
Cherries are my favorite fruit and just about any food and drink with cherries or cherry flavor is always well received. This tea is no exception. I will definitely try it cold brewed in future.
This tea has a strong cherry cough syrup aroma before steeping. The final cup has a slightly tart cherry flavor that is pleasant to drink.
Out of the package, the aroma is very sweet, almost like Cherry bubblegum. After steeping, and with a little bit of sugar, the flavor was reminiscent of cherry cough syrup without the aftertaste. Probably would be better with some milk, but I didn't have any available.
Steeped for 5 minutes at 200. It has a bit of a cough syrupy aftertaste when it's hot, but calms down a bit into something cherryish once it cools.
I brewed this hot (210 for about 6-7 mins) and it is delicious. Reminds me of Wild Cherry Life Savers in the best way—tart instead of the sweet almondy type of cherry flavor. This would be great iced, will def get it again in the summer if I can!
It definitely tastes like cherry candy, reminds me of a lollipop. I cold brewed it and added some sugar. A tasty treat cold, I don't see how anyone could drink this hot and enjoy it.
I'm fairly new to drinking tea, so I may not know all of the 'correct terminology' for describing teas. I found this tea to as sweet refreshing tea. There was a definite cherry flavor which was nice (I live in the home of the National Cherry Festival, so we know cherries up here). I didn't find it to be overly floral. Overall, I enjoyed it.
