I love mate teas and this citrus mate is the perfect combination - it is great any time of the day, and it also tastes splendid when used to make exciting new tea blends! I love it!
This was just isn't for me. No matter how I brewed it, it was bitter to me. I didn't care for the taste.
One of my favorite Adagio mates. I used this as a base in a signature blend with peppermint and hibiscus teas.

I love my mates and this one is no exception. It will be a great pick me up in the summer as a cool or iced tea, but it's great warm too. I am thinking it may be soothing and refreshing for a sore throat day.
It reminded me of lemon water, so it does live up to its intended flavor.

I'd put this tea in my top 10 favorite teas I've ever had in my life (and that's been a lot!) I am a new mate drinker, but I fell in love with this one. I'm also a big citrus fan, too, so that helps because this citrus is strong! If you're looking for a softer flavor, try the mango mate. But if you like citrus and mate, go for this one! Glad I sprung for the 3oz, not the sample! :)

This is a great blend with a hint of citrus. A very nice little boost in the afternoon.

I may be biased because I love citrus flavors, I bought Yerba Mate, and then decided to try Citrus Mate. If you don't like earthy flavors too much it can be a great alternative since the citrus overtakes the flavor a bit. (I prefer it 3-5 minutes on cool water). Warm water if you like more of a smoky flavor.

A great tea to keep you awake! I love mate teas, as they have natural caffeine that doesn't make you jittery or have adverse effects like caffeine from coffee or soda drinks may give. It takes great with the citrus flavors, and is definitely a great wake up tea for me.
A while back I had a citrus mate that I liked and then the store went out of business! So I was happy to find this replacement. It is similar to the citron green, but more of an earthy flavor (in a good way). Very enjoyable iced or hot.
I'm a newcomer to mate, so after trying a few at the adagio store, I felt like the citrus would be a good introduction. The flavor is both crisp and toasted. It seems just right for an early afternoon cup. It's a nice variation from other types of tea.
Plain mate is too earthy for me, but this citrus version is great! I'll have to try it iced soon.
This was my first experience with mate and I enjoyed this one a lot. It seems to have the same type of citrus flavor and scent as adagio's other citrus flavored teas, and the mate adds a kind of earthy flavor. I personally didn't notice an increase in my energy, but I liked it nonetheless.

Wonderful citrus flavor. No need to sweeten with honey at all. First time trying a mate style of tea and I will definitely try others flavors on my next order. Will put this one on my favorites list for sure!
Not what I expected from this tea. While it smelled good, it had a very lackluster taste. I would have liked some more citrus but overall it was okay. Not as good as a green tea with the same citrus flavor (citron).
Love this tea! I like plain old yerba mate but the citrus flavors in this tea really invigorate it! Highly recommend.
I am a big fan of citrus teas. Citron green is my all time favorite But citrus matte is also very good!!
I drink at least two cups of yerba mate every morning, and this one is my favorite! I usually combine 1-2 teaspoons of regular mate with 1 teaspoon of citrus (depending on how hard it was to get out of bed) for a large mug. I can't do mornings without it! It also helps curb the appetite.
This was my first experience with a mate. My first brew I tried it black and was disappointed. The second time I added sugar and that was when I found the true flavour. Not bad if I am craving a green flavour late at night, but I still think I prefer my greens.
I'm not a huge fan of mate, but I do like this one. It's not too bitter and the citrus flavor makes up for all the dislike of mate that I have.
just not for me, to sweet, citrus notes a little to high, more of a grapefruit flavor would be better?
Very nice green maté with a strong citrus aroma and taste. The citrus smells stronger than it tastes, but balances out well with the maté.

Got this tea for my husband and it was a big hit! When it was brewing it smelled like someone had just cut open an orange. Very bright citrus flavor!
There is a strong citrus smell and taste, which is good. But the particles and dusk are fine and slip through my infuser causing the tea to be really 'dusty'. Also, a strong effect happens if left over night...the tea turns from a golden color to a deep green color.

It was citrusy without being overly so. This was my first time trying mate. I expected more energy from it (similar to a cup of coffee) but it was still delicious and a good way to wake up in the morning.
I think I have a new wakeup cup! The citrus is fantastic and blends perfectly with the grassy tobacco notes of the mate. A simple thing that works so very well. Also goes well with Rum.
This one is OK not my favorite. Trying to figure out the best tea to mix it with.

This is a great blend of tea. It is perfect for tea lovers everywhere.
Maybe I should have expected this, but this tea is infused with the same flavoring as Citron Green (a citrus Fruit Loop-like flavor). The mate has a slight earthy undertone and other than that they are practically indistinguishable. So while I enjoyed this tea and will continue use it for a burst of caffeine, it's unnecessary purchase for someone who already Citron Green in their rotation.
Amazing Tea! It is the perfect tea to wake up to in the morning, and the citrus flavor gives it a great taste!
A bit rough around the edges if brewed too long/hot, but is a bit of a different drink which I have come to really enjoy.
