This is my first experience with a mate tea, so I have no idea if this is to be expected, but I'm not crazy about the aftertaste. I enjoy the citrus tang as I'm taking the sip, but after I swallow it I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth that's like licking an orange rind. I don't hate the tea overall, but I don't think I'll be ordering it again.
Love the aroma. Orange citrus and zest. My only wish was that the citrus had more bite to it. That can be easily accomplished with a splash of lemon juice.
Excellent alone or mixed in with other teas--an easy way to make your favorite herbal tea caffinated.

The worse thing in the world is fake, antiseptic tasting lemon. The citrus mate is NOT that. You can see the bright yellows and oranges from fruit rinds, who's tangy twists perfectly compliment the dry yet lively taste of mate. Citrus mate is the best part of waking up. This is my absolute favorite mate blend ever.
This is my first mate tea and it tastes great. It has the right proportion of citrus to grassy taste to it (more citrus than grassy). I will order again.
A unique tea that offers the subtle charge of energy without the caffeine jitters after. More flavorful than plain yerba, but still not overpowering in its citrus'ness. (hint - sprinkle in some mandarin green for a rich (yet light!) blend.)
Some teas are overpowering with their citrus taste. This is a nice gentle citrus tea-good for an afternoon pick me up!
I for love the somewhat grassy taste of Mate, and the light, lemony citrus taste is a perfect compliment. Well done!
Pretty good... a little bit too nutty for my taste but the citrus flavor was nice. Don't let it steep for more than 3 minutes! It gets bitter very quickly.
I love the citrus flavor in this tea, smells great and is very refreshing. I would love to try this one cold on a hot summer day.
I mix 1 tsp of this mate with 1 tsp of the raspberry patch herbal tea and add a little honey, it's a great pick me up in the morning!
This was quite citrus-y. Though, if I'm going down that road I'm going to stick with a nice black Earl Grey Bravo (Moonlight optional).

I got this completely on a whim, remembering that I had tried some orange-flavored Yerba Mate iced tea several months ago. Not only is this way cheaper, but it tasted better as well!
The citrus helps to break up the deep flavors of the mate, making it a superb iced tea.
Even better than the Yerba Mate, the citrus actually sweetens it up and adds a wonderful twist.
A slight citrus flavor, but I don't like it as much as the other teas. It doesn't have many other tastes in it so it seems kind of weak
So far, this is my favorite mate. When I opened the bag, the smell of lemon was so strong that I was afraid it would overwhelm the tea. Luckily I was wrong. It has a refreshing citrus flavor that mixes well with the warm slightly toasty flavor of the mate.

I really like this mate blend, it has a nice citrus zest to it but isn't overpowering, you can still really taste the grassy essence of the mate, which i love. I often blend this with lemongrass for an added zest.
I opened the bag and was blown away by the amazing fruity aroma. After actually tasting, the tea was delicious! Worthy of a try!

I love this! I recently got the mate sampler and this was by far my favorite of the choices. It's light and fruity and I imagine it would be great iced though I've only had it hot so far.
