★★★★☆

Really good mix! very warm and smooth, I don't normally put milk in my tea but i prefer this one with milk

★★★☆☆

It's very good...it does have the strength of coffee, if not the flavor, and is nutty and rich. Gave it 3 stars only because it really feels overly cinnamoney to me...I'd love to try the chicory with a different flavor profile, perhaps a hazelnut or chestnut flavoring!

Nice warm and toasty tea. I am not a big fan of bitterness at the end as it cools down, but it is more an issue of personal taste. For me, it requires some rock sugar to avoid making it too harsh at the end. Overall, very strong and very rich.

★★☆☆☆

Yikes. This was not my cup of tea. I ended up dumping it out after a couple of sips.

I enjoyed this tea. The flavor was stronger than I expected from a herbal tea - more like a black tea (which is my favorite) and the cinnamon was a nice addition. Steeped for 4min @ 212 with 1 Splenda packet.

Not the greatest on it's own. It's like a bitter coffee. I mixed it with some Monkfruit, Rooibos Pecan Turtle and Chocolate Whipped Honey. It makes it taste like Hot Chocolate.

Interesting combination of aroma, flavor, and body. I have not had chicory to my knowledge. Upon opening my CT packet it smelled sweet, cinnamony, and earthy. Steeping the first minute gave presence of a coffee like aroma which was pleasant, then end of steeping 3 minutes at 212 I was greeted by a quite pleasant, non coffee tasting beverage that when adding a touch of cream reminded me of warmed Mexican Horchata which I love. I truly enjoyed this cup.

It smelled fantastic and I was pretty excited to try it. Unfortunately, the smell didn't translate into taste. I found it very overwhelmingly bitter, even adding honey.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this tea. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor! Rich and deep with a sweetness at the end. The cinnamon doesn't overpower this tea at all! I'd definitely drink this one when I want a deep cup of tea but without the caffeine!

★★★★☆

A tisane with a lot of spices. It becomes more bitter.at cools down.

CommuniTEA sample: 1.5 min @ 212 F. This is probably the best tasting coffee I've ever had. I don't really like coffee though. I sometimes used to have a chicory coffee blend for days where I needed strong caffeine, and this reminds me of that, but it tastes better. It's got some bitter, sour, and earthy notes that aren't bad, but with sweet cinnamon and cocoa nibs that all mellows out. It very much fits the profile of being roasty. It just is too close to coffee for me.

I am not a coffee fan, so I was skeptical about today's cup. I only steeped it for one minute, and was surprised at the rich, dark color after such a short steep. Verdict - it tastes so much better than coffee! The cinnamon gives it a cozy depth, and I enjoyed it straight, and later with a splash of milk. I'm excited for my coffee drinking sister to try this tea!

First time at the club and rally liked chicoriccino :) sweet taste

★★★★★

I love tea, I love chicory coffee so this blend is right up my alley. This toasty tea tastes of coffee and cinnamon, not so much the chocolate. Perfect with or without any sweetener or milk.

Tastes like a cinnamon roll. Warm, comforting and sweet. Great to enjoy in the evening with a good book.

★★★★★

This isn't my cup of tea, but it is my husband's. The smell reminds him of cinnamon and honey. There is a natural sweetness to it. The chicory is more bitter which makes it feel more like a coffee than a tea. Not bad by itself but would probably be nicer with cream and sugar.

The smell is absolutely toasty and amazing!
I was really rooting for this one—haha, get it? (Sorry:) and I am not disappointed!
This tea is fabulous. Rich, and toasty. The cinnamon is present, but not at all overwhelming

I can see what this is advertised as a coffee alternative. Slightly bitter and toasty, but it also has a unique taste all its own. The cinnamon peaks through giving it some good character and overall is a tasty warm cup.

Perfect coffee replacement..unami earthy warm roasted nutty flavour with slight cinnamon flavours. I can't taste the cocoa nibs. It is a great caffeine free replacement to coffee. It's not my cup of tea but I would give it a try again.

Having been a fan of New Orleans style coffee for awhile, I was excited to see the same kind of flavor profile on offer at Adagio. Unfortunately, I do not think I’d order this tea again. While caffeine-free tisanes are always appreciated, there just seemed to be something that was lacking here. Perhaps it was too chocolatey for my tastes or the “body” was too heavy… whatever it was, the result was simply “okay” for me. Having offered it to others, however, I know that it should be broadly popular. So don’t let this review scare you from giving it a try :)

really interesting! it is quite bitter, but i really love how you can taste the chicory.

This tea is a great alternative to coffee! My wife who loves coffee needed a caffeine free alternative. She found it!

Love this Chicoriccino tea. I will be ordering more for Christmas gifts. The chicory and chocolate favors makes me think of the holidays. When I am having a bad day, I just take a sip of this magic and I find myself in a happy place.

Yuk! I really, really did NOT like this. It was so bitter. That may be my fault as I steeped it for longer than 5 minutes and used a generous teaspoon. I'll try it again with less tea, less steep, and see if I like it better (I've never had chicory tea before, so maybe I just don't like chicory?)

I dislike black coffee so I'm not sure what I expected. It's honestly not horrible but a tad too bitter for my taste. I can't taste anything other than it being bitter so it's certainly not for me.

★★★☆☆

This one was bitter and had stronger cinnamon flavor than I prefer. It needed to be brewed at about half-strength to lessen the bitterness, but it's still there. I didn't find it as smooth as other 'teeccino' which I've had, but the ingredients are also different. This one adds dandelion root, which makes it earthy, and cocoa nibs, and perhaps these add to the bitterness of the chicory? It's still fine as a coffee substitute, but not a favorite.

I'll be gosh darned if this didn't taste like coffee with chocolate in it. I'm really tired of teas that promised me 'coffee' flavor and don't deliver, but this one sure did. I've had to cut back on my coffee consumption and this hits the spot when the craving kicks in.

★★★☆☆

This wasn't my favorite tea, but I really wanted to try it. It wasn't bad, but I don't think that I will buy anymore of it.

★★★★★

My husband recently found he cannot consume any caffeine. A brew-up of this blend satisfies his coffee cravings

★★★★★

Fun new flavor to try! Love that is appeals to coffee lovers without the caffeine jitters that come with coffee.

★★★★☆

Fairly bitter. I don’t know that I would buy this one again. I guess I was expecting more of a chocolate hint to it.

★★★★★

Hallelujah! Something warm and cozy that gives me the vibes of coffee without the stomach irritation! Giving up coffee feels next to impossible, it’s a true addiction. It soothes my soul. This provides some soul soothing that’s reminiscent of coffee, even if it’s not the real deal. I’ll take it! Nutty, creamy, strong, dark, add some honey and oatmilk and I zone out into bliss for my cuppa!

I read earlier reviews that said "cinnamonbunsomnomnomnom" with some mild skepticism. However, everyone is on point with this--it has depth, spice, and a little honey makes this really shine. Haven't tried this with milk, but I'm not a milk in my coffee type of gal.
I've heard that chicory coffee and beignets with cinnamon powdered sugar are a New Orleans classic. If so, Adagio made a tea/coffee substitute that evokes that sort of idea, with this addictively delicious (without the addictive caffeine content) brew!
Which btw, makes this perfect for winding down in the evening. Good show, Adagio. You guys are killin' it with these new brews lately.

I never tried to chicory before so it's was nice to try this. This isn't bad. I feel like it could be a nice alternative to similare cinamon cinnamon tea(like the masala one) if you want tone it down just a tiny bit.

★★☆☆☆

This tea sounded really good and I was hoping to enjoy the tea a lot, but I was not a big fan of the scent nor the flavor.

★★★★★

The first step to enjoying this tea is to not go in expecting coffee. If you're looking for a dark roast cuppa joe to get your morning going, this is not that and never will be that. What it is, however, is a brew that smells like french toast and has a depth of flavor from the cacao nibs as well. There's a vague acidity on the back of it that I think might be either the chicory or dandelion? It's not bad, though.

One thing I might suggest is going for sugar over honey for this, if you sweeten it. Honey contributes an additional 'syrupyness' that makes the overall impression more cinnamon roll or french toast. If that's what you want, rock on. If not, consider other sweeteners.

I decided this morning as I was nearing the last of my stash of chicoriccino that I could drink this every morning, which is saying something because I generally want to have something different all the time. It is hearty, chocolatey, and if you’re missing coffee, it’s the perfect antidote.

★☆☆☆☆

This smells great both before and after brewing. Unfortunately, I don’t get anything but bitter dandelion root. It’s not even a flavor that I could overlook to enjoy the rest of the tea, because it’s just so strong and overpowering. I couldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Apparently I'm not a big fan of chicory and that's a main flavor in this tea. I drank it with some oat milk and that made it slightly better but it's just not for me.

I enjoy the occasional cup of coffee but can't handle the caffeine, I was hoping this could be a good substitute. Unfortunately I did not like it at all. The bulk of the flavor that came through was just cinnamon. Still giving 3 stars because my partner (who loves cinamon) happily drank all the rest of it for me.

★★★☆☆

For my taste I definitely need to steep a little less. Possibly a coffee substitute when that evening craving hits. I haven’t decided.

Update: still the only decent coffee substitute I’ve had
Ican't believe i loved this but I did. It actually tastes like coffee (with cinnamon) and I loved it with cream and sugar.

Did not like this. The cinnamon was too forward and couldn’t be possibly believed to replace coffee. It was like a cup of cinnamon dust. Reminded me of the fifteen year old cinnamon sticks my mother-in-law keeps because they look rustic. Pass.

★★★★★

It definitely hit the caffeine aroma wants!! I accidentally let mine steep too long and it got bitter. Tried again and it was an okay taste. Definitely will add honey next time but makes for a cozy late night vibe when trying to avoid caffeine.

First review of 2024. The liquid is as dark as black coffee. It could taste like black coffee, but the cinnamom is promenient. If you do sprinkle cinnamon in your coffee and drink it black, you may not notice any difference. The smell from the bag is stronger than the cup.
