My Sister In Law tried this, she thought it sounded so great. She ended up not liking it and gave it to her mom. I have not heard any positive or negative reviews from her.
Chicory-based coffee alternative with cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and dandelion featuring a smooth roasty, toasty character.

Something a little different, it's not bad, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite. Would I buy it again, probably not.
I don't get this one. Maybe I got a bad batch? I immediately spit it out and brought it into work to see if someone else liked it, and the best comment that I got was that it tasted like "sad soup". It was so bitter and only tasted of dandelion greens. No toasty, roasted flavors, not even a hint of cinnamon although it smelled like it. I've *loved* every other tea I've purchased (and I've tried a ton of varieties) here but this was undrinkable. Would give 0 stars if I could :(
This is delicious! A little spicy and a little chocolatey. Sort of a Mexican hot chocolate vibe. Caffeine-sensitive people, beware... the chocolate elements pack a buzz. I like this first thing in the morning.
Holy cinnamon! But not in a bad way. This tea is delightful with a splash of milk to temper the strong spices.
The cinnamon and cocoa nibs (possibly?) make this blend smell very nice (I'm not sure what chicory smells like on its own). It brews dark, very visually close to coffee! I definitely need to add sugar to it, and prefer it with milk. It's very interesting with the cinnamon though, and I've also tried it mixed 50/50 with (not full strength) coffee, which is good.
I didn't expect to love this tea but wow is it great! Fits the niche of 'I want the coffee/black tea experience, but can't do the caffeine' but it's also really great when mixed in with coffee grounds and brewed. The most authentic to the chicory coffee experience is half and half, but I've done regular coffee with a tablespoon of this and it's amazing. Great flavor
It might be because chicory is an acquired taste but I really disliked this tea. I had hoped there would be more of a warmth to the spice but for me it wasn't there.
First tasted this in the advent calendar, and was surprised by how much I liked it. Ordered more the same day!
I don't feel like this is quite a replacement for coffee, but I did enjoy it as something nice and unique as a change.
This is a very intense tea. The cocao, chicory, dandelion and cinnamon all have bitter notes which makes this tea a great coffee alternative. I added maple syrup and cream, threw it on ice and was very pleased.
I have tried other brands of Coffee substitute (teachino being my favorite). This is not as good as that but a solid substitute.
Really delicious! Cinnamon and chocolate both some bitter herbs tastes good enough to enjoy even if you don’t need a coffee substitute.
This is my go to morning brew. I add a bit of honey and chocolate creamer to it and it just gets my day started perfectly. I recently purchased it in bags so that it could travel with me when going out of town.
Very interesting flavor, definitely worth trying this one!
My new favorite. I have been looking for a coffee replacement that is low or no caffeine and I have found it in this tea. It's a bit polarizing, my sister was not a fan, but I'm on board for this tea.
a fair coffee replacement with some yummy infusion flavors. I did enjoy it quite a bit, but my wife was not a fan, so not for everyone.
I gave this blend a try because I'm allergic to coffee, but love the smell and taste. I think I'll definitely add some sugar next time, absolutely getting that coffee bitterness. But otherwise? Pretty good! I might try to do something mad and mix it was hot cocoa or the like.
Dandelion root and chicory, while I prefer dark roasted barely as a substitute, it is still a good refreshing drink.
This is one of my go-to teas. It's my best substitute for caffeinated teas while not skimping on flavor. It lets me skip the Tetley without feeling like I'm missing out. It has a nice cold-holiday flavor due to the cinnamon in it. It combines well with the chocolate and hazelnut honeybush teas. I've also added a pinch of the high-caffeine chestnut tea when I need a wakeup.
This tea is definitely more bitter than most other types I've had. It's not exactly like coffee or anything, but the flavor is closer to coffee than tea. I had it black the first time to get a feel for the flavor, but I'll probably add milk next time. I think it would also taste really good mixed with hot chocolate.
I recently tried the Chicoriccino, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The robust blend of roasted chicory and cocoa nibs resulted in a delightful and indulgent experience.
The rich and smooth taste, combined with a subtle hint of natural sweetness, made each sip a true pleasure. This tea is a perfect choice for those seeking a caffeine-free alternative with a comforting and satisfying flavor profile.
In the bag: Plenty of chicory chunks and cocoa nibs. Some scattered cinnamon bark chips.
On the nose (pre-steep): Cinnamon and a woodsy, roasty coffee.
On the nose (post-steep): Similar aromas as pre-steep. Cinnamon is a mere hint.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Tastes like a blonde roast coffee, served black. Not nearly as acidic, though. No cinnamon.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): Coffee note is the same. Hint of cinnamon is back.
Opinion: A pleasant and singular tea. I enjoy coffee, especially without the accompanying bitterness. I could have done with more cinnamon, though.
Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 212 °F. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
SO GOOD. A quick steep gives mostly chicory and a bit of cocoa nib, with the cinnamon flavor getting sharper and more prominent as you steep longer. I'm so pleased with this tea.
Interesting mixture of nutty chocolate and chicory. I drink it with half and half to replace coffee with a caffeine free hot drink. If you dose it to strong or let it sit too long, it tasts slightly bitter.
I like the adjacency to coffee of this cup, but it's a little too cinnamon forward for my preference.
I was really impressed with this one! I can't drink coffee these days so I needed a heavier decaf tea to replace it. This has the most wonderful cinnamon flavor that reminds me of this cinnamon espresso a co-worker used to make. Doesn't resteep well and gets a bit too strong if you oversteep, so be careful.
Very solid. Marketed as a decaf coffee substitute, but that definitely is not it for me. It is warming though, and tastes nice regardless.
Great coffee alternative for those who are trying to cut back. Very potent cinnamon flavor so make sure you like the taste of cinnamon.
I love chicory as a coffee substitute, so mixing it into a tea is extra lovely. I can see this one joining my regular rotation.
As someone who most often drinks tea without anything in it, this is a tea that DEFINITELY needs a bit of milk/sugar/etc. It's very strong and rather bitter on its own, a bit more like burnt coffee than normal coffee. That said, this is the best base for adding cream and making a latte-like drink out of any tea I've tried, hands down. It's robust enough to hold up, and I'm fairly sure (though I haven't tried yet) it can even stand up to fancy flavored coffee creamers as well. Definitely the thing I'd want to brew to add a little Bailey's for an after-dinner drink, and great in the morning when I want the flavor of a latte without the caffeine content. I suspect this will get a fair bit of use because, even though it doesn't work at all for the way I usually drink tea, it does its own unique thing very well in a way where nothing else I have comes close.
My children want to drink coffee just like us in the morning and this was perfect for them. They can't even tell the difference and neither can I.
It certainly does what it advertises - it emulates the taste of a cup of coffee quite well! Unfortunately, it also carries a strong bitter undercurrent that I'm not personally fond of, that isn't cut easily with milk like a good cuppa joe. A good tea, just not for me.
This tasted of only dandelion . Not my cup of tea .
It's not coffee, it's not cocoa, somehow reminds me of both but without the caffeine. Good with added chocolate chips and cream.
Update: this has similar effects to coffee on my digestion, so be careful if you have a sensitive tummy. Maybe I'll try blending it with something soothing like chamomile.
This is my new favorite evening drink to replace the hot cocoa I really am not supposed to drink. I add a bit of milk and honestly I cannot get enough of it.
Very unique! It has a slight bitterness that’s reminiscent of coffee. It’s good for an afternoon when you need something warm, but don’t want caffeine.
Great tea! A great tea for anytime, great with or without milk and with or without sugar. Would reccomend!
Mmm, smells like Cinnabon! This is a pretty good coffee substitute for those of us who can’t handle the caffeine. 😋
This tea was okay. I like coffee but I didn’t get a good vibe from the taste of this. Definitely a different taste. It might be better with some sweetener added.
The smell upon opening my CommuniTea packet was intriguing - a combination of cinnamon and something else I couldn't place my finger on. I steeped it for 2-3 minutes according to the instructions, although in retrospect maybe I should have shortened the steeping time some more. Initially I tried to drink it black but there was a bitter aftertaste to it which seemed to get more bitter over time despite the fact that it was not steeping any more. Adding milk helped but the bitter aftertaste did not fully go away. If it weren't for the bitterness this probably would have been a reasonably enjoyable drink, although I'm not convinced about the claim of it being a perfect coffee doppelganger.
Smells very much like cinnamon. It was not a strong flavor of cinnamon. It was tasty
This tea has a lovely strong scent of cinnamon. I’ve not tried chicory tea before… it’s good!
Mmmm! Nutty, toasty, cinnamon vibes going on in this tea. It didn't really remind me of coffee like I was expecting but did make a yummy coffee replacement.
This is an instant favorite! It doesn't taste like coffee to me, but it does taste much better.
Yummy tea today 😁. Tastes like a Cinnabon. Amazing aroma too. I added a little cream and caramel macchiato
I only give 3 stars because even though I didn't enjoy it, I bet this would be the perfect fit for those who enjoy chicory! I brewed it for 7 minutes at 175 F but the chicory flavor was just too strong for me - too much spices and cinnamon flavor. Although, I did just brewed it after eating a really sweet Crumble cookie, so that may have obscured my opinion haha. I typically enjoy unsweetened green tea and sometimes black tea.
When this is described as a coffee substitute, I want to taste coffee but I did not, however, I thought it was quite tasty, a very nice nutty flavor, Hey Herbal Tea, didn't like it? I'll take yours.
Has a burned taste to me. And I don’t like coffee so it was already not going to be a favorite for me.
This tea smells like cinnamon toast! It's cinnamon forward with a hint of chicory. It gets bitter as it cools, so it's best to drink this hot.
