Unfortunately lapsang overpowers every other taste. You can feel a slight zesty taste from either aniseed or orange peel, but absolutely no sweetness, no rosehips, no cocoa/hazelnut, no clove... IMO, this concoction might have tasted much better with chai tea.
I mean, it does taste like wood and cinders. I don't know what I expected 😂 they captured the flavor of a bonfire alright
Literally tastes like a bonfire!!! Sometimes the hint of smoke can’t be overwhelming but overall not a bud cup!!!
I consider myself a fairly new team enjoyer. This was my very first tea from Adagio and I have to say I am very impressed! I really enjoy Bonfire's smokiness! It's perfect for winding down in the evening.
Nice smoky flavor, light herbal taste. I would steep it a little longer than 3 minutes. Maybe 4.

The smokey flavor is really strong. Takes over the rest of the flavors. If I cut it with a lot of oat milk it's alright. I was just expecting all the spices to come through more than the smoke... Bummer

Interesting flavor. The aniseed was an acquired taste but it reminds me of a fall night.

This is a really unique tea to me, it has a smoky flavor which I wasn't quite sure I liked but it started to grow on me a little.
Delicious! And adding a splash of Fireball makes for a great evening twist on a hot toddy.

I love the red peppercorns in certain other teas, but it's not doing much for me here. A little too smokey.
I really liked this last year when it was sent as a sample, but now the lapsang is too much. I only taste smoke and not the flavors. Won’t buy again

I picked this tea up on a whim based on the name and scent notes, hoping my roommate might like it. Instead we fought over who got to finish the bag off! Smells like marshmallows roasting over a campfire, especially with a splash of almond milk.
This tea holds the Number 1 spot for favorite teas in my heart (with last year's Year of the Tiger tea coming in second). I love that it gives off a smoky aroma--true to its name--and that it's low on caffeine. I'm a coffee-lover, but at night, I'll drink bonfire tea with a splash of almond milk to achieve that same level of coziness that coffee gives.

The name is spot-on, the lapsang souchong adds just the right amount of smokiness without overwhelming the autumnal flavours of the other ingredients. A very good tea to welcome the season of harvests and sweaters.
This is a good tea for fall. It is richer than others with an interesting smokey smell/taste. Has some caffeine so I drink it earlier.
This tea reminds me of fall and sitting next to a bonfire. It has a lightly smokey quality with the ambiance of fall in a cup. Very enjoyable with a bit of honey

Smoky and spicy, this is a tea you need to be in the right mood for. However, it's a wonderful blend and perfect for chilly evenings out on the deck.

This tea wasn't that bad to me. I can handle a little smokey in my cup. But if I feel like something dark, a little Lapsang in small doses is ok. I liked how this one had a sweetness missed in as well.
This tea is my everything right now. I was so ready for autumn and all the smoky, spicy flavors when this arrived at my house. I like it by itself, with a little sweetener, and mixed with nearly all the other teas — especially good for carrying your summer fruity blends into fall. Def try it with Peach Serenity! If this is wrong I don’t want to be right. 🔥
This one is truly unique. It smells like wood smoke. Tastes a bit like it too. It's fine in a novelty sort of way, but I can't see myself drinking this on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, all I could taste was the overwhelming smoke of Lapsang Souchong black tea and red peppercorn. I didn't detect any hazelnut, cocoa, aniseed, cinnamon, clove, orange peel, apples nor rose hips.
This tea has a smokey bonfire smell and taste. A hint of orange and nutmeg. I enjoyed with a bit of honey. Cozy cup of tea. Very seasonal
The smokiness was well balanced in my packet. I could see how a differently balanced blend would not be as good, but I like it for a tea with a little bit of smokiness without it tasting like pure campfire
It's warm and a bit fruity. I'm not a fan of the smokiness; the scent is a bit overwhelming. The taste is a bit less pronounced (thankfully).

OMG! This tasted just like what I'd imagine eating a charred log would taste like. I love campfires, but I don't want to drink one.

Yes I would just as soon as burn this than drink it. I am not a fan of lapsang souchong, and this one was on overload with the taste of smoke and charcoal. I will give it an extra star for the honeybush that supposedly was in the blend, although I could not detect it.
I've been trying to like Lapsang, but I don't. Even the small amount in this blend is too much for me. I even tried to tone it down with some other tea.
lapsang souchong jumpscare lol. had our cup with some cocoa sugar and it was so good -Violet
I wanted to like this blend, but I did not enjoy it as much as I was expecting. It is a nutty and spicy, but heavily lean on anise (which I like in small doses only). I added a 1/4 tsp of honey, but anise still dominated the flavor and aftertaste. If you enjoy anise I suppose you will like it more than me.
I entered into sampling this tea with trepidation. Aroma was Smokey pre and post steeping. Attempted shorter steep time but sadly the taste was too Smokey for me - it was the first tea I couldn’t drink…

A Unique and Fun, Smoky Tea Beverage!! I detected Orange and also the spicyness of Cinnamon and a bit of Apple..Scrumptious & Different!
Smokey at first, but I caught the cinnamon and slight sweetness the further into the cup I journeyed. An immediate camping trip evening around the campfire when you need it.
The 2-stars is only because I can't have chocolate, don't care for Lapsang Souchong or anise...I'm sure there are folks who love this, I'm just not one of them. Sorry
