Fantastic Fall tea! It has a smoky flavor for those cool fall evenings.
Honeybush hazelnut and cocoa nibs relax and ground you, while a spice blend of aniseed, cinnamon, clove, and orange peel offer cozy comfort.

Fantastic Fall tea! It has a smoky flavor for those cool fall evenings.
Good flavor and very fall like but I think I'd like it better mixed with a nice pumpkin spice to give it more body.
I love this tea. It is not heavy on the smoke, but has a slightly smoky flavor that reminds me of fall evenings with friends. It is slightly sweet and grassy like hay and crunchy leaves and tastes a bit like apples. This will be another go to fall tea for me!
The smell! It's amazing. Combine that with the taste and it's literally like I'm sitting in front of the fireplace. It's a little sweet, a little spice, a little smoke, and it just all combines in this really nice cup of tea. If you're looking for something warm and homey, this is it. Bonus for being 'trace amounts' of caffeine.
Peppery with a punch of clove, cinnamon and orange, definitely a seasonally late fall brew. I like this with a splash of milk, despite being an herbal tea. It reminds me a bit of the Storyteller blend in Teas of Thedas, without the mate.
Possibly my favorite blend of all time from Adagio! Wow! So many flavors but they fit together perfectly. Tastes just like autumn!
It's not quite what I expected. It's kinda bland. It tastes just like it smells. It's not a bad tea.i guess I just expected a fuller bodied feel.
I'm starting to get back into tea and this was one that was pretty out there, in comparison to other teas, but I quite enjoyed it, I could taste the orange and the aniseed on the back end, it was pretty noice.
This tea is good. I got it when it was on sale and I'm glad that I did. It's very low caffeine and suitable for evening drinking, it's smokey and has a lot of orange flavor. Actually, the mixture of hazelnut, orange, and smoke smell makes me think of popcorn a little bit, but I might be alone in that. I could have done with less orange, more hazelnut.
For a tea that is supposed to taste like a bonfire, it's great. However, most evenings I don't feel like drinking a bonfire. But really, embrace the season. It's not perfect, but it's nice.
Really lovely smokey fall blend! It's so pretty as well with the peppercorns.
This comforting tea smells wonderful and citrus-y. It is a wonderful tea, perfect for a crisp autumn day. It is wonderful.
This amber tea is the bomb. It tastes like 'flaming embers'. how fire on a crisp fall night smell. It's got a full, rich body with deep cinnamon notes underlying a tangy, smoked apple flavor.
I actually quite like this blend. It smells delicious in the bag, if a lot orange-y. Brewed up, the orange mellows down and the lapsang souchong comes through with smokey notes. It's a little spicy, I'd almost like it to be a bit bolder with it, but the predominant flavors are the orange and smoke. Pretty good in my book.
Nicely smokey without being overwhelming. The smell right out of the bag and while brewing is amazing!
I bought this as a gift for someone. They said, 'it's delicious!' Was prepared as the directions on the bag stated.
I love this tea! It really does remind me of sitting at a fall bonfire. This is one of the better and unique fall teas I have had.
I wasn't nearly as enamored with this blend as I was with the autumn mist. something in it tastes a bit flat to me. Maybe it's the honeybush.
I didn't like this at first, but it really grew on me! It's like drinking a toasted snickerdoodle! :) I think steeping it longer than the recommended time helps bring out the warmer flavors and tamp down the smokiness.
Smells and tastes like a bonfire! Smoke on the nose and in the palate. A nice pepper at the end. Good for sipping on a cold night!
Spicy and fragrant, it is fall in a cup. My coworkers perked up when I poured it the first time.
My new favorite tea!!! It's wonderfully delicious!
The smell was a bit too pungent for my taste. Could be really good if it were mixed with something sweeter like the s'mores tea.
Too bad there isn't something higher than great. This is so delicious. just excellent! It's a very different flavor than anything I have had before.
I just got this today and it's my new favorite fall tea. I'll add a little lapsang next time just to pump up the smokiness a bit, also its not a strong flavor, needs to steep a bit longer than most. I'm going to be drinking this all winter!
This is a great fall tea. I love it myself and can't wait to share.
This smelled a little strong/weird when I first opened the bag but turned out to be really delicious. Perfect for fall - warm and chocolaty.
It isn't QUITE as spicy as I thought it would be, more citrusy. Very good though! Great with honey.
I need more decaf teas so I was happy to pick this up. It's been a resounding success. Warm, cozy, spicy, and no worries about keeping me up. It's great!
Honestly, I don't like this one AT ALL. :( To me, the smoke flavor makes it taste like meat... Not what I would expect. The orange doesn't help either. When I drink it takes me to... I am camping with some friends and I decide to make some tea. I accidentally stir my tea with the same spoon I used for my food and got BBQ in my drink. I tried it twice and couldn't take it.
A very deep, warm, aromatic, and thoroughly pleasant tea. It seems odd to say but this tea really does taste like you're drinking a liquid bonfire - smooth, slightly sharp, reassuring warmth.
If you are a fan of bold orange and a softer lapsang tea you might like this. The fragrace out of the bag is almost like orange extract strong. Once it is brewed though its a little ligher with the orange frangrance and you can smell the smoke from the lapsang. The honeybush mellows it out a bit and the peppercorns give it just enough tingle to the blend to create that warmed up cozy feeling. I don't really enjoy lapsang but this was pretty good!
Updated Review:
I finally brewed a small cup and was surprised at how the orange peel and cloves (and maybe the aniseeed?) mellowed out when in a smaller sample. I'm still not a huge fan - it's drinkable if I'm in the mood for a tea with personality, but I'm not really fond of rooibos and I noticed that was the biggest flavor towards the end of my half-cup. It was certainly more pleasant than the aromatics of the dry tea suggested!
Preview review: I have to confess - we didn't even try brewing this one. I bought it to contribute to my office's tea collection, thinking it would be a nice pseudo-autumn treat in Florida (when we don't get autumn until, like, January). Unfortunately, the cloves and orange peel are far too strong. Just opening the shipping box had us stepping back from the scent, and it lingers a while in our kitchen if you try opening the tea pouch. We are reluctant to actually try brewing a cup, though we've agreed that we do want to eventually give it a go, in case the cloves aren't so bad in the smaller quantity used to brew. I honestly didn't expect it to be so strong based on the description, and I suspect that the off-putting aroma is at least in part because of the combination of orange peel with the cloves.
It's nice to see Adagio rolling out more seasonal stuff these days. Nice, and very tempting. I had some points racked up and decided to get this and a personal blend I made called Haven. Plus Cream because I missed it and it goes with everything.
Now, this tea is a strange one. A honeybush with a touch of lapsang? Ok, different but interesting. Add hazelnut? Sweet, sounds good. Red peppercorns, cacao nibs, anise, and cinnamon? Amazing! But then they added orange peel, rosehips, clove, and apple pieces on top of all of that. There's just so much going on. Somebody may have gotten a little too creative.
The aroma has me cautious. The husband (not a tea drinker) said it smells like 'chocolate and bubblegum'. I'm not getting either of those, but the fruit is bright and in the forefront, but kind of clashing with the hazelnut. And the lapsang's smoke. Steeped, the tea has a strong orange spice and nutty smoke scent. It's intriguing. And fruity. And definitely reminds me of fall and winter.
The flavor is actually very warming and comforting. The hazelnut and the orange peel against the honeybush taste like a lovely dessert you'd serve hot with vanilla iced cream. With the lapsang to back it up, it tastes toasty and baked. The spices back it up but don't shout over the main flavors. The clove is especially present, but I smell it as I sip more than I actually taste it.
I could definitely see myself sitting by the fire drinking this.
I bought this before any reviews were put up, and didn't know it would be so orange-heavy. So I'm probably gonna have to get some lapsang or honeybush hazelnut to fix it. I guess it would be good for someone who likes orange, but I don't.
Mostly sweet and fruity, with a little bit of spice and smokiness. I'm a fan of spicier tea so I didn't really think 'bonfire,' would've hoped for a little more kick for that, but it's not a bad flavor.
An extremely enjoyable tea, definitely more smokey than sweet- exactly what the name implies!
The flavor really depends on how long you steep it. If you steep it for a short time, the orange flavor will be very strong and you'll have a background of the honeybush. If you steep it longer you'll get that smoky lapsang flavor. I liked it, but wouldn't buy it again.
I knew this was going to be a good tea when I was opening it. The smell was coming up from the bag before I had it fully open.
This tea has the lingering smoke flavor with a great blend of spices when you drink it. I feel that they truly captured the essence of a bonfire.
I love this, its so complex and gorgeous as a blend,
This was even more delicious than I thought it was going to be. It has a nice smoky flavor with creamy cocoa and spices.
So, I'm still not sure about this one. In the bag, it smells almost pungent, but once brewed it does mellow somewhat. However, the orange is still pretty strong for my tastes. I'm going to take the advice of some of the other reviewers here and try adding some more lapsang to balance out the flavors.
This is sweeter than I thought it would be. I thought the lapsang souchong would be overwhelming but it really isn't. Just a hint of smoke. Just a hint of spice. The aniseed and apple come out most strongly to me, but create a good balance. This really does have the feel of autumn.
First thing's first: I'm not a big herbal tea fan. Nope. No sirree. This little guy has changed my mind and opened my heart to bigger, better things. I love fall and I love bonfires, but the only downside is that you can't drink either of those without dangerous repercussions. Luckily, you can drink this tea and continue living in a state of delicious satisfaction.
The smokey and sweet come off in a beautiful combination, as well as the orange. I can't describe it in words, just grab a sample and try it.
I really enjoyed this tea! At first glance, the bouquet is beautiful. It would make for a lovely holiday gift. As many others have mentioned, the scent is quite strong. It's a bit a like a seasonal candle. When brewed, the flavor is much more mild. I've found the tea to be very forgiving if brewed too long. I'm also interested in experimenting with a bit more lapsang to my blend to highlight the smokiness. However, the original blend is warm and intriguing on its own. I did not find the orange so overpowering in the cup. I'd love to try a variant that is a bit spicier and smokier.
This definitely tastes like a fall bonfire in a cup. It smells like I'm sitting next to a fire outside. I don't see myself drinking it everyday but I will reach for it when I want to warm up.
I LOVED this tea. It tasted perfectly smoky with the perfect amount of 'heat' from the peppercorn. The orange brightened the flavor but wasn't very strong to me, which was (again) perfect. I didn't get any other flavors out of this, but I'm sure the other ingredients added some depth that wouldn't have been there otherwise. I absolutely loved this. I'm praying that they keep it year round.
This is the perfect Fall tea. It's got everything you want without the pumpkin spice that seems to go everywhere else this time of year. Picture autumn in the woods, and that's what you have here.
I was a bit scared that this would be super smoky, given the name, but it is just a hint of smokiness that balances out the natural sweetness of the tea. It kind of tastes like some of those autumn candles smell, but in a good way :)
I bought this tea because it was a seasonal tea that had all the things in it I usually like. I was proven correct! It is a really lovely tea that smells and tastes delightful. A lighter tea than the black teas I usually drink, but definitely more body than a tisane. Smells and tastes like fall in a cup. It's very orange-cranberry-y with back up from the warming spices and a lovely smokey finish. Just made it with a bit of sugar.
This tea was a great surprise. I grew up in the midwest, and this truly does taste like a bonfire. It has traditional fall flavors with a slightly smoky aftertaste.
