I liked it at first, but then the more I drank it I stopped liking it. Will not reorder.
Honeybush hazelnut and cocoa nibs relax and ground you, while a spice blend of aniseed, cinnamon, clove, and orange peel offer cozy comfort.

I liked it at first, but then the more I drank it I stopped liking it. Will not reorder.
not my favorite. something artificial tasting about it.
Primary flavors of orange & vanilla with hints of spice & smoke. Delicious fall tea.
WOW. This one was awesome!! The Lapsang Souchong has such a unique smokey flavor!! It tastes of bonfire and fall
Sadly, I had to toss this into the sink after 3 sips. I do love spices and I could appreciate the mix of aromas from the orange, peppercorn, cinnamon, and clove after you first the bag... but the taste! It's pure smoke. The unique flavors of those spices were drowned out and overwhelmed by the smokiness...the name IS bonfire, but I thought some of the brighter notes would still shine through.
I was really excited to try this tea, as it sounded like it would be a delicious combination. Unfortunately, the various flavors are completely overpowered by the hazelnut flavoring. When I open the bag, it smells of nothing but hazelnut. When I brew it, no matter what temp or for how long, it still tastes like hazelnut, with maybe just a tiny bit of orange if I steep it a long time (say 10 minutes). Maybe the apple pieces in it absorb too much of the hazelnut flavoring? Big disappointment.
Hm. After reading so many positive reviews, I'm still feeling very confused by this tea. What I tasted (and smelled) above anything else was 'liquid smoke' and licorice (anise). I'm not a tea aficionado, but it seemed like there was a lot going on in my cup, and I just couldn't get past the intensity of the smoke. I'll try it again, perhaps use a little less product. But at this point, not my favorite.
Disgusting! Tastes like liquid smoke with some citrus thrown in.
Smells and tastes like it’s name. While interesting (spices are nice, slightly fruity), the overwhelming flavor of fire smoke makes it unpleasant
It's not my favorite. I'm not sure which part of the blend didn't work for me. And it could have been just a bad cup on my part, but this one just didn't taste right to me. There was a bitterness to the taste that I wasn't a fan of.
Dinner! Love the smoky and spicy feel of this tea. Great with a little bit of honey or even a splash of cream! Perfect for fall!
This tea was complicated in a bad way. It ended up leaving a black licorice taste behind and the smell was vastly overpowering.
This one definitely has great aromatics. It's complex in its scents, but the taste is very simple. I was expecting a little more of a smokey, or spicy, or tingling sensation on my tongue, but it was actually very mild. It's a good tea, but it's definitely got more going on for it in terms of fragrance than taste.
I don't know how, but Adagio was able to capture an entire season in this tea. The second you smell it all you think is fall. It has an interesting smokey flavor that I have never tasted in any other tea. The loose leaf is beautiful to and encompass fall. The hotter the tea is the more smokey flavor you get but as it cools the other flavors start to come out.
The scent of this tea is just heavenly! It smells like oranges, but it also smells smoky and dark and rich. The flavor is like candied orange peels and creme brûlée and the delicate taste of wood fire smoke. It’s unusual and complex and absolutely delicious!
I originally bought this tea as a sampler, and its aroma and sweetness makes it enjoyable.
Literally fall in a cup. Got it for my brother, he loved it.
This tea is sweet, slightly smokey, and so festive. With a hint of citrus, this blend is a wonderful treat for fall days. Or nights, as it s relatively caffeine free.
A new fall favorite. It's a close second to Autumn Mist Green.
This tea when very hot has a unique flavor, but it is a little too peppery for me.
A tasty cup that gets me in the mood for fall, but has a flavor like a mixed soda drink. I only gave it 3 stars because despite enjoying the flavor, it's not a cup I could have more than once in a few weeks.
This is a spicy tea that reminds me of fall. I absolutely love it. It s a nice tea to cozy up to a book with.
Very smokey flavor - tastes lovely, but the smell might be a bit much for some folks!
Nice fall tea, rich flavor and perfect for a cold day.
I initially really liked this tea, but the more I drank it, the less I enjoyed it. I think the anise kind of overpowers all the other flavors - as smoky and delightful as the aroma was, I ultimately threw the rest away because I got a stomachache every time I drank it.
This one's alright. I usually love the smokier and more unusual blends, but I think there's a few things this mix could do without. I think it would almost be better as a standalone smoky/earthy blend, minus any fruit.
Wow what a great spicy herbal tea! It's kind of like chai but more sweet and mellow, less spice. The smokiness is very noticable and comes together well.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like this or not. I'm a big fan of Lapsang, so I'm not sure what my hestitation was, but this tea is phenomenal. I need to remember to add a larger bag to my next order! I want to drink this all through the fall and winter seasons.
Not really a fan. The orange tastes great but the after taste of the other spices leaves sorta of made me feel sick. Its just a little too husky for me. If you like unique flavors this is the tea for you but not me. I will say one thing the name does the taste justice as it does literally taste like a bonfire. I was just hoping that the warmth concept would be there not the actually bonfire itself.
Was not sure I would like this one. As others said, it has a smoky overtone. It has turned into my favorite Fall drink! It's like no tea I've ever had before and I can't get enough of it!
The flavor of this tea is great, I've never had anything quite like it
This tea screams fall flavors. It has a warm flavor that is halfway between apple and pumpkin pie. My only not is that the flavor is rather weak when brewed with the recommended amount and I've found it makes a more satisfying cup when you use a little less than twice the amount of tea suggested.
A very interesting and delicious blend! It's your favorite smells of fall all smashed together in a hearty, robust, but seriously easy drinking cup of tea. I used a bit of eggnog in it and it just made it all the better.
The smokey smell others have mentioned didn't bother me at first, but by the end of the sample pack, it was almost overwhelming. I did really enjoy the taste of the tea--it did remind me of autumn, but I don't think I would reorder again because of the smell. If you don't mind campfires, this may be a really great tea for you.
One of my favorite teas. It tastes just like you think autumn would. It has a nice, smooth, blend that is perfect for a chilly fall evening. Absolutely recommend.
In general, I really dislike herbal teas as I prefer dark, rich brews. This tea blew me away with its complex flavor and warming mouthfeel. Bonfire is now my go to evening drink, perfect for chilly evenings and cuddly pajamas. The aroma is incredible, and the combination of smoke, pepper, fruit, and lingering sweetness is like a meal in a cup. Purchased three ounces and a week later decided to get the full pound.
Interesting blend. I was hoping for a nice warm spiced tea, but the smell of the orange sometimes over powers the taste. I will enjoy this tea on a cold fall night, not sure if I can drink it daily. I really want to like this tea, so I'll brew another cup!
It was pretty decent, but not the best tea I've ever had.
Tried this one last night and I thought it tasted very good. I missed some of the other flavored notes in it like the nibs but overall, still a great taste! I will get it again!
This tea has a delightful warm smoky scent that I greatly enjoyed. The flavour itself wasn't as spicy and rich as the scent would have promised, but it is an emminently drinkable cup of tea nonetheless.
If you like Smoky Teas, you ll probably really like this. It has that lapsang souchong intense flavor that makes me think of chewing tobacco... but in a way that s not completely overpowering. You can definitely taste the different flavors in here as well. Smoky with a sweet Maple type flavor.
I really love this tea! The blend is very subtle and it smells really good right out of the bag. After steeping, it has a smokier aroma, but the taste is more of a bright orange and warm spices than smoke. I poured another cup for a second steep, and it was even better. I would love to buy more of this!
I really wanted to like this, but I just didn't. It smells OK, but I wasn't a big fan of the taste.
Really good Fall tea. So much flavor and delicious with honey
This is a very unusual combination of flavors that makes you think of a fire because it s kind of smoky and sweet. Not sure I would purchase again, though.
A delightful tea for the right occassion and person. It tastes heavilly of a spiced chai tea, if I'm being honest, but not neccessarily in a bad way. The flavor as a whole is pleasant, but the experience is strangely both soothing and invigorating at the same time, which leads to a somewhat confusing profile. If not for the minor conflict in the overall flavor profile, I'd give this 5 stars, but a 4-star tea is still a good tea.
I love this tea - fall in a glass for me. The sweetness of the orange and apple perfectly blends with the smoke for me.
I missed this last year but managed to snag some this time around. I quite liked it. It's sweeter than the description would suggest, which works nicely for me but definitely can throw people off if you're expecting a smoker or more savory taste.
I think I will update this as I think it will have to grow on me..I like the undertones of spice, but the smokiness can be a bit overwhelming..I will update this as I get through the bag...
This is an ... interesting blend. It's woody - it almost tastes like you literally are sitting by a campfire and sipping this. Imagine a little smoke is wafted your way by the outside wind when you sip - making it taste like the bonfire. Surprisingly, I don't dislike it - but it's not a favorite. A good Fall blend for those who like the smokier tasting teas.
